    Roderick Place was named COO of InterDent in 2017 and assumed Co-Leadership as Chief Executive Officer in 2018. Mr. Place has extensive experience transforming private equity backed healthcare companies through his strategic leadership, focus on operational excellence, clinical leadership collaboration, and structuring of field operations and corporate support teams. Mr. Place is also accomplished in leading boards and executive teams through expansive growth in mergers & acquisitions, DeNovo, due diligence and market consolidation. Before joining InterDent, Mr. Place served in executive level operations roles with Western Dental, MedQuest Associates and Alliance Healthcare. Mr. Place is also the Managing Director and Co-Founder of MedSummit Solutions, LLC. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Grand Valley State University.

    Matthew Wickesberg joined InterDent as EVP/CFO in 2016 and assumed Co-Leadership as Executive Vice Chairman two years later. In 2019, he was further elevated to Co-Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wickesberg is an experienced board member, executive officer, and lender with a deep background in multi-site hospitality and healthcare industries. He is also experienced working with lending institutions and private equity firms through structuring capital, due diligence, mergers & acquisitions, and uncovering portfolio synergies. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Wickesberg served in various senior finance roles with HOA Restaurant Group, ZTejas, Inc., and GE Capital. Mr. Wickesberg received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Oklahoma State University and his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

    Dr. Heather Hawkins has committed her career to patient care while understanding current healthcare trends and value-based comprehensive care. Dr. Hawkins has an expansive clinical, academic and operational background, including leading medical-dental integration as well as quality and risk management for multi-site healthcare organizations. After 12 years of practicing general dentistry, she expanded her skills with several key roles in academia. In 2012 she joined the team at Adventist Health in Northern California, a multi-site health care organization with over 5,000 medical and dental staff physicians, as the Director of Quality. In her leadership role there, Dr. Hawkins led expansion and integration across the health system with medical and dental clinic management and an emphasis on comprehensive care models addressing patient risk factors, active disease and preventative measures. Dr. Hawkins earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and her Advanced Education in General Dentistry Certification from Virginia Commonwealth University.

    Dr. Manu Chaudhry has dedicated his career in the pursuit of dental health care, improving clinical quality and access to care, and transforming delivery of care to improve overall health outcomes. He is a dynamic and mission-driven leader with extensive leadership experience over multi-region dental practices, and has also founded multiple collaborative organizations that reduce oral and overall health disparities. Dr. Chaudhry is a board member of Healthier Kids Foundation and holds a Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of the Pacific.

    Sandra Lau is a seasoned legal adviser with over fourteen years experience acting as General Counsel of multiple dental healthcare corporations. Ms. Laus responsibilities include advising executive management, supporting strategic growth initiatives, overseeing all aspects of the corporate legal function including HIPAA, state and federal regulatory compliance, corporate transactions and governance, mergers and acquisitions, and risk and litigation management. Before Joining InterDent, Ms. Lau served as General Counsel at Western Dental. Ms. Lau holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Juris Doctor from Loyola Marymount University.

    Bernard Piccione has extensive experience across a wide range of industries delivering complex enterprise-scale information technology solutions to achieve major global business value and objectives. Mr. Piccione excels at driving sustainable business growth through IT modernization, solution development, and global transformation initiatives while building strong partnerships to better leverage technology solutions. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Piccione served as CIO for Ingenuity Advisory Partners, Inc., Complex Care Solutions, Inc., and MagnaCare. Mr. Piccione holds a Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science from Boston University.

    Darrin Kellaris is a senior marketing executive with over 20 years experience specializing in digital marketing, social media, and brand strategy. Mr. Kellaris offers a record of success in creating and driving marketing strategies that strengthen revenue, margins, and market share by elevating brand authenticity and relevance. At InterDent, he leads all aspects of marketing including digital and social media, brand positioning, and performance analytics. Prior to joining InterDent, he led marketing efforts at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and IHOP. Mr. Kellaris holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from San Diego State University.

    Diane Stern brings almost 20 years of dental services organizational experience specializing in organizational design and strategic partnering. Ms. Stern is responsible for Human Resources planning and strategy for recruiting, retention, benefits and performance management. She built her HR leadership experience through roles at Coast Dental, PrimeCo Wireless Communications and LabCorp where she focused on employee programs to increase engagement and satisfaction along with operational efficiencies. Ms. Stern holds a Bachelors degree in English Literature, Education, and Business from the University of Tampa and volunteers at KMR Group Foundation.

    We love Gentle Dental in Sherwood. Maggie at the front desk is so helpful- she diligently made sure we were scheduled for all of our needs. She sets the friendly atmosphere and even went out of her way to help our youngest feel ok about getting his cavity filled. Great staff- no long waits. 100% recommend!

    I am always treated kindly and with respect. The staff is friendly and very capable. I have been so impressed that I have persuaded my husband to change from his former dentist to Gentle Dental in Sherwood. I especially like Doctor Nedelku. In fact, I think he is the best dentist I've ever had. The hygienist staff is also very skilled. The hygienist does a great job and the experience is very comfortable. Moses is very kind and reassuring. He has an engaging personality which makes me feel that I am important.Thank you.

    I have received nothing but top notch care at Gentle Dental. I have dental anxiety and the staff always put me at ease, starting with the friendly and knowledgeable front desk staff, to the courteous and caring techs like Mo, and of course the doctor who has great chair-side manner. Thanks!

    New patient as of two months ago. They found and filled two cavities (shame on me - I should've been going to the dentist more regularly). Saturday appointments are super convenient, the staff is friendly, professional, and thorough. Dr. Nedelcu clearly explained everything that needed to be done, and did an excellent job with my cavities. I will definitely be a long term patient.

    I'm editing my review after coming to this location many times. The service is great and they take good care of you. However, I've ran into a lot of issues regarding billing. Despite the fact that my insurance covers 100% of preventative work (I verified this) I am always having to pay a lot of money out of pocket. My insurance supposedly doesn't cover a lot of the things they expect it to, so of course they bill me for it. I suspect that they're overcharging me. I've called to try to resolve it and they said this is normal for my insurance provider (despite the fact that they cover 100% of preventative care). I have never had this issue anywhere else. Their billing practices are shady in my opinion, and for that reason I'll be going somewhere else.

    I've always had great service and care at Gental dental. Currently even with the Covid restrictions things are just as good! When you check in you get your temperature taken and fill out some documents for the Covid guidelines. Other than wearing your mask and doing a new rinse before they start working with you everything is the same and it's easy.

    The doctors and hygienists are great! Especially Mo, he is funny and caring! They are kind and sincerely care about your health and well being. But I had a bad experience a couple months ago with receptionist. She shared my family's health record like she was talking to her friend. Other patients were around me, but was very loud, acting like she did not care that it should be private. I asked her to tone her voice down then she stared at me like I did something wrong. I expect my family's and my health record private but that time I didn't not feel like I was respected.

    The sherwood gentle dental location has a AAA team. Dr Nedelcu, Mo, Lorri, and everyone i have briefly met and have not remembered their names yet... A++ in every metric imaginable. Even the "make you laugh as I'm working in your mouth" metric. From temp check to checkout, everyone is friendly and empathetic, there is no judgment... everyone has an awesome sense of humor, and Nedelcu has a talent that rivals Rembrandt. If you hate the dentist, you need to come to this location a couple times just to witness how high they set the bar.

    everyone there was very friendly and the overall experience was quite nice. per the name, they were gentle, making the experience far more enjoyable than most times i've gone to the dentist. however, as i left the office, i assumed i would be scheduling my appointment, but instead they handed me a card with a date and time and told me to call if that didn't work. this could be because i was a minor, but they didn't even give me the chance to get my parent (who was just waiting in the car). on top of this, i had told them that i'd need either a day very early in september or in august because i'm leaving for college on september 10th. i told them this and they said they'd find a day within the frame i set, but instead, they gave me september 15th, 5 days after i leave out-of-state. it was a huge inconvenience. that being said, i did really enjoy the experience, the scheduling was just very inconvenient.

    I have been coming to the Sherwood Gentle Dental office for about five years or so. I have always received excellent service. For a few years I brought my mother here as well. She was in her 90s and they took very good care of her. Always made sure she was comfortable and helped her understand what would need to be done. My mother had dementia so sometimes it would take a little extra patience and care and the staff always came through with what was needed. Thank you!!
