    Roderick Place was named COO of InterDent in 2017 and assumed Co-Leadership as Chief Executive Officer in 2018. Mr. Place has extensive experience transforming private equity backed healthcare companies through his strategic leadership, focus on operational excellence, clinical leadership collaboration, and structuring of field operations and corporate support teams. Mr. Place is also accomplished in leading boards and executive teams through expansive growth in mergers & acquisitions, DeNovo, due diligence and market consolidation. Before joining InterDent, Mr. Place served in executive level operations roles with Western Dental, MedQuest Associates and Alliance Healthcare. Mr. Place is also the Managing Director and Co-Founder of MedSummit Solutions, LLC. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Grand Valley State University.

    Matthew Wickesberg joined InterDent as EVP/CFO in 2016 and assumed Co-Leadership as Executive Vice Chairman two years later. In 2019, he was further elevated to Co-Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wickesberg is an experienced board member, executive officer, and lender with a deep background in multi-site hospitality and healthcare industries. He is also experienced working with lending institutions and private equity firms through structuring capital, due diligence, mergers & acquisitions, and uncovering portfolio synergies. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Wickesberg served in various senior finance roles with HOA Restaurant Group, ZTejas, Inc., and GE Capital. Mr. Wickesberg received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Oklahoma State University and his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

    Dr. Heather Hawkins has committed her career to patient care while understanding current healthcare trends and value-based comprehensive care. Dr. Hawkins has an expansive clinical, academic and operational background, including leading medical-dental integration as well as quality and risk management for multi-site healthcare organizations. After 12 years of practicing general dentistry, she expanded her skills with several key roles in academia. In 2012 she joined the team at Adventist Health in Northern California, a multi-site health care organization with over 5,000 medical and dental staff physicians, as the Director of Quality. In her leadership role there, Dr. Hawkins led expansion and integration across the health system with medical and dental clinic management and an emphasis on comprehensive care models addressing patient risk factors, active disease and preventative measures. Dr. Hawkins earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and her Advanced Education in General Dentistry Certification from Virginia Commonwealth University.

    Dr. Manu Chaudhry has dedicated his career in the pursuit of dental health care, improving clinical quality and access to care, and transforming delivery of care to improve overall health outcomes. He is a dynamic and mission-driven leader with extensive leadership experience over multi-region dental practices, and has also founded multiple collaborative organizations that reduce oral and overall health disparities. Dr. Chaudhry is a board member of Healthier Kids Foundation and holds a Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of the Pacific.

    Sandra Lau is a seasoned legal adviser with over fourteen years experience acting as General Counsel of multiple dental healthcare corporations. Ms. Laus responsibilities include advising executive management, supporting strategic growth initiatives, overseeing all aspects of the corporate legal function including HIPAA, state and federal regulatory compliance, corporate transactions and governance, mergers and acquisitions, and risk and litigation management. Before Joining InterDent, Ms. Lau served as General Counsel at Western Dental. Ms. Lau holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Juris Doctor from Loyola Marymount University.

    Bernard Piccione has extensive experience across a wide range of industries delivering complex enterprise-scale information technology solutions to achieve major global business value and objectives. Mr. Piccione excels at driving sustainable business growth through IT modernization, solution development, and global transformation initiatives while building strong partnerships to better leverage technology solutions. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Piccione served as CIO for Ingenuity Advisory Partners, Inc., Complex Care Solutions, Inc., and MagnaCare. Mr. Piccione holds a Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science from Boston University.

    Darrin Kellaris is a senior marketing executive with over 20 years experience specializing in digital marketing, social media, and brand strategy. Mr. Kellaris offers a record of success in creating and driving marketing strategies that strengthen revenue, margins, and market share by elevating brand authenticity and relevance. At InterDent, he leads all aspects of marketing including digital and social media, brand positioning, and performance analytics. Prior to joining InterDent, he led marketing efforts at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and IHOP. Mr. Kellaris holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from San Diego State University.

    Diane Stern brings almost 20 years of dental services organizational experience specializing in organizational design and strategic partnering. Ms. Stern is responsible for Human Resources planning and strategy for recruiting, retention, benefits and performance management. She built her HR leadership experience through roles at Coast Dental, PrimeCo Wireless Communications and LabCorp where she focused on employee programs to increase engagement and satisfaction along with operational efficiencies. Ms. Stern holds a Bachelors degree in English Literature, Education, and Business from the University of Tampa and volunteers at KMR Group Foundation.

    Very disappointed. I called back in August, and couldn't get an appointment until October 8. On October 8, as I was getting ready to leave for my appointment, they called and canceled. They rescheduled me for November 4. I asked to be put on the cancellation/standby list, and at one point called and left a message inquiring if they had any appointment sooner, regardless of day/time. I never heard anything. Well, today is November 4. They called and canceled. They say they can get me in November 11, but I'm having some real concerns about availability/reliability/accountability. So I've made backup appointments elsewhere because, while I understand the world is currently short-staffed and that things happen, the fact that my experience so far has been exclusively short-notice cancellations makes me feel like I'm on some kind of 'least concern/low priority' list of patients. The person I've spoken with on the phone is very kind, professional, and understanding. She's doing a great job following up to make sure my insurance is good to go, and has even started communicating with my insurance to ensure some additional treatments I anticipate needing will be covered. But at this point I feel like, for whatever reason, I'm the person they keep determining deserves the boot when they realize they've overbooked for their staffing levels. I'm worried about the quality of care I can expect, and indeed if I can even GET any care at all. I need some work done, and I'm really hoping to get it over with before my wedding in March. Seems doubtful Gentle Dental currently has the capacity to accommodate this.

    Awful experience!!! Called and made an appt for my daughter. They asked me to email insurance info, referral and any x-rays and I would hear back shortly to confirm they received it. I emailed immediately. No response. I called back after 5 business days. Put on hold for 20 min while they tried to find my email. Then was told whoever I spoke to did not actually make the appt and the next appt was a over a month out. Waste of my time and extremely frustrating.

    Scheduler decides to call me back after 2 days no call or answer (despite leaving message in emergency line and sending emails) and have an attitude because I'm not going to waste my time and book a visit for oral surgery with a dentist that doesn't perform oral surgery. "Just trying to help you out man." Yeah no thanks. Send my X-rays somewhere with some courtesy lady.

    I have worked with Dr Clough and highly recommend him. He is thorough but mot pushy on treatments as some dentists can be, and he does gentle and great work. I had a gap between teeth after poor work by a past dentist with this faulty filling and he got the filling replaced quickly and with a much better fit than my last dentist (who was out of state). I am happy to have found Gentle Dental and Dr Clough

    The dentist I saw here told me I have permanent gum disease and nine (9) cavities. I think dentists here pray on younger people/college students and take advantage of them. BE AWARE! I went to my dentist from my hometown, and they said I really needed my wisdom teeth out (hence the inflamed gums) and that I had two cavities, not 9. Watch out for this place, I will never go back here.

    My husband was the test run, then I went. Both of us are extremely happy with the care. Every aspect of our appointments was excellent. Front office was professional, as were the hygienist and dentist. Felt heard and received quality care.

    I can't give Sehome Gentle Dental more than one star due to their practices. You will be a customer, not a patient. If you dig through the reviews, you'll find plenty of other people that this happened to as well. According to my insurance company, Gentle Dental didn't take proper notes to justify the fillings I received. As a result, I got a surprise bill in excess of $400. After 3 months of waiting, it got reduced to $329. Still, this is NOT what I needed on my student budget. Thanks for milking me, Gentle Dental! I'll be visiting a different dentist in the future and doing my best to help other victims, I mean customers, steer clear.

    Dr. Schick and Dr. Torres are wonderful dentists. But it ends there. If you read the reviews closely you will see there are multiple concerns regarding billing issues, over charging etc. This office completed a full exam, billed insurance for a partial exam, then told me I needed to pay for a full exam before they could do a cleaning. My medical records were forged to support this narrative. I filed a complaint with the Washington State DOH. Judging by the reviews on here, I'm not the first person they've tried to take advantage of. Very sad.

    Sehome Gentle Dental employs wonderful people! They make every effort to ensure comfort and educate on best practices. Every hygienist and Dentist that I have encountered has been outstanding. Highly recommend!

    I've been going to Gentle Dental in Sehome Village for over a year. I always come out of my appointment happier than when I went in. Not only do I receive excellent Dental Care from Dr. Schick and extremely nice hygienists and techs, but they are all so pleasant and fun to be around. The receptionists are equally pleasent to work with. I have felt very comfortable with all the dental care that I have received. For me, this is a Five Star Dental Resort.

    Hi my name is Michael; I would like to tell you about my experience with Gentle Dental. I am 56yrs old and have had many Vists through out the years with more dentist's than I can count lol. Never have I been treated as well as Gentle Dental treated me. The staff were very attentive to my Dental care. They explained everything to me so that I would understand what my process would be. They showed genuine interest in my life and what I wanted to achieve. My dentist was a very kind and extremely professional young man continuing to work on a affordable plan to give me my dream smile. I went back and looked at all my pictures and I look mad or very unhappy. In reality I just don't have teeth to smile with. I work at Basecamp crisis shelter and I so desperately want to have a smile to match my personality. I believe God lead me to Gentle Dental. I truly felt they have my best interests at heart. I highly recommend these wonderful people to meet all your Dental health needs. Thank you Gentle Dental for helping me in my recovery process and giving me confidence, and self-esteem. God bless

    I can't say enough good things about my experience with gental dental. I am fairly new to the area and haven't established a dentist yet, so when my front tooth filling broke off 4 days before vacation, I was in a mad dash to find someone to fix it. After calling about 20 dentists (most of who aren't even open on Fridays.. when I needed the appt), I finally reached a VERY friendly receptionist at Gental dental. Not only did she help me get an appointment and talk me through everything, but she was so kind when I started crying. My experience just got better when I arrived to the dentist.. more friendly receptionists and Dr. Schick was amazing. I would definitely recommend people to this dentist
