Roderick Place was named COO of InterDent in 2017 and assumed Co-Leadership as Chief Executive Officer in 2018. Mr. Place has extensive experience transforming private equity backed healthcare companies through his strategic leadership, focus on operational excellence, clinical leadership collaboration, and structuring of field operations and corporate support teams. Mr. Place is also accomplished in leading boards and executive teams through expansive growth in mergers & acquisitions, DeNovo, due diligence and market consolidation. Before joining InterDent, Mr. Place served in executive level operations roles with Western Dental, MedQuest Associates and Alliance Healthcare. Mr. Place is also the Managing Director and Co-Founder of MedSummit Solutions, LLC. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Grand Valley State University.
Matthew Wickesberg joined InterDent as EVP/CFO in 2016 and assumed Co-Leadership as Executive Vice Chairman two years later. In 2019, he was further elevated to Co-Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wickesberg is an experienced board member, executive officer, and lender with a deep background in multi-site hospitality and healthcare industries. He is also experienced working with lending institutions and private equity firms through structuring capital, due diligence, mergers & acquisitions, and uncovering portfolio synergies. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Wickesberg served in various senior finance roles with HOA Restaurant Group, ZTejas, Inc., and GE Capital. Mr. Wickesberg received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Oklahoma State University and his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Dr. Heather Hawkins has committed her career to patient care while understanding current healthcare trends and value-based comprehensive care. Dr. Hawkins has an expansive clinical, academic and operational background, including leading medical-dental integration as well as quality and risk management for multi-site healthcare organizations. After 12 years of practicing general dentistry, she expanded her skills with several key roles in academia. In 2012 she joined the team at Adventist Health in Northern California, a multi-site health care organization with over 5,000 medical and dental staff physicians, as the Director of Quality. In her leadership role there, Dr. Hawkins led expansion and integration across the health system with medical and dental clinic management and an emphasis on comprehensive care models addressing patient risk factors, active disease and preventative measures. Dr. Hawkins earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and her Advanced Education in General Dentistry Certification from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Dr. Manu Chaudhry has dedicated his career in the pursuit of dental health care, improving clinical quality and access to care, and transforming delivery of care to improve overall health outcomes. He is a dynamic and mission-driven leader with extensive leadership experience over multi-region dental practices, and has also founded multiple collaborative organizations that reduce oral and overall health disparities. Dr. Chaudhry is a board member of Healthier Kids Foundation and holds a Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of the Pacific.
Sandra Lau is a seasoned legal adviser with over fourteen years experience acting as General Counsel of multiple dental healthcare corporations. Ms. Laus responsibilities include advising executive management, supporting strategic growth initiatives, overseeing all aspects of the corporate legal function including HIPAA, state and federal regulatory compliance, corporate transactions and governance, mergers and acquisitions, and risk and litigation management. Before Joining InterDent, Ms. Lau served as General Counsel at Western Dental. Ms. Lau holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Juris Doctor from Loyola Marymount University.
Bernard Piccione has extensive experience across a wide range of industries delivering complex enterprise-scale information technology solutions to achieve major global business value and objectives. Mr. Piccione excels at driving sustainable business growth through IT modernization, solution development, and global transformation initiatives while building strong partnerships to better leverage technology solutions. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Piccione served as CIO for Ingenuity Advisory Partners, Inc., Complex Care Solutions, Inc., and MagnaCare. Mr. Piccione holds a Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science from Boston University.
Darrin Kellaris is a senior marketing executive with over 20 years experience specializing in digital marketing, social media, and brand strategy. Mr. Kellaris offers a record of success in creating and driving marketing strategies that strengthen revenue, margins, and market share by elevating brand authenticity and relevance. At InterDent, he leads all aspects of marketing including digital and social media, brand positioning, and performance analytics. Prior to joining InterDent, he led marketing efforts at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and IHOP. Mr. Kellaris holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from San Diego State University.
Diane Stern brings almost 20 years of dental services organizational experience specializing in organizational design and strategic partnering. Ms. Stern is responsible for Human Resources planning and strategy for recruiting, retention, benefits and performance management. She built her HR leadership experience through roles at Coast Dental, PrimeCo Wireless Communications and LabCorp where she focused on employee programs to increase engagement and satisfaction along with operational efficiencies. Ms. Stern holds a Bachelors degree in English Literature, Education, and Business from the University of Tampa and volunteers at KMR Group Foundation.

I went here July 28th because I been having pain on my bottom left wisdom tooth. Come to find out I have 4 cavities and in need of a deep cleaning. My deep cleaning and wisdom tooth extraction need to get approved by my medical which they said takes (4-5 weeks). Do to my anxiety I decided to wait for my cavities and do my deep cleaning together. Well it is now September 23 almost going on two months and when I call they are clueless to know if I been approved or not yet. So I do my own investegating and contact the medical dental team just to find out that there are NO documents asking for approval for neither my extraction or my deep cleaning. The medical dental team also informed me that it only takes them 5 -7 days to approve paperwork. Meaning the 4-5 weeks is for the biller to do there job. Which they have not done. I am so much pain and now I have looked into another place who hopefully doesn't do what this place did to me. I would not recommend this place. And don't even comment back with ur automatic reply to complaints this place is horrible.

Honestly, I had a good first experience at this location! The staff is very friendly. I'm incredibly scared of the dentist and have really bad anxiety, but the staff was very patient with me and helped me relax! Definitely recommend.

This by far is the worst dentist I have ever experienced. Both my parents 2 separate patients went in to get specific teeth fixed and the dentist decided that he would work on other teeth that they did not come in for and my parents had no idea. And then the dentist proceeded to tell my dad that he did inform him that he could not fix the teeth That he came in for. Which obviously didn't happen and decided to work on completely different teeth without my dad's knowledge. My mom also went in to get a chip tooth specifically one tooth and they fixed the wrong tooth and the problem is when the doctor is in there working on your teeth you just assume hes working on the 1 you went in there for. I've never heard of a dentist that chose to work on what he thought needed to be fixed instead of what the patient went in there for. I'd like to give zero stars.

A huge shout out to the office Manager Mayra! She has to be the nicest and most kind manager from this office, I have been coming to this office for many years and they have not always been as polite and professional. I gave them 5 stars about a month ago because they did a very good job on my daughters teeth and everyone in there are very nice and professional. Why I am returning to add to the 5 stars review is because I am so grateful for what this office did for my daughter yesterday. My daughter was hurting from the palatal extender, so the office Manager brought her over last minute, and they took care of my daughter without hesitation. The Dentist and the Orthodontist Dentist are super nice and professional. I recommend anyone to come to this office for their dental needs.

I am disappointed with this business because my crown fell out 3 times. Not cemented well. My insurance said there was no fees to put back on but the office manager tried to charge me a fee. Beware check with your insurance before you proceed with any services. I no longer go here.

I started coming here about almost a month ago for some tooth pain I had been experiencing. It soon turned into getting root canals and fillings. Through it all, the staff was so friendly and reassuring. My nervousness about the whole situation quickly disappeared working with the staff. From the receptionist to the main dentist and all the way to the specialist for my root canals, professionalism, service and care were their top priorities. I wholeheartedly recommend this office for all patients new and returning. Tha k you for everything!

This place only wants your money. Went in for an appointment and came out disappointed. My insurance told me what was covered and the lady at the dental office tried charging me over $1,000 out of pocket. I told them I just wanted a deep cleaning and the doctor would not give it to me. The nurse that first helped me was rude and when I answered her question of "what brought me in today" I said just a "deep cleaning." She immediately cut me off and said that the doctor will tell me what I needed.

Came in today with a tooth ache and was able to get seen right away. Everyone at this office was very kind and helpful from the Front desk, Assistants and Dr. After going around to several places im finally out of pain and glad i was able to take care of the issue. Professional, courteous, and well organized. I went in for a consultation for braces/invisalign as well as a cleaning. As soon as i entered the building i was greeted at the front desk and after sitting for a short time was taken to the back, Yesenia the dental hygienist did a tremendous job on my teeth cleaning as it was pain free and felt extremely clean. Dr. Lou performed worked on a few small cavities and was extremely gentle and fast, which made the experience quick and easy. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family and hope to return soon to continue with ortho services.
