Dr Helidonas is a native of Campbell, OH, a suburb of Youngstown, OH. Dr Helidonas attended Youngstown State University for his undergraduate studies, majoring in Biology and finishing his degree Magna Cum Lauda. After finishing his studies at Youngstown State University, Dr Helidonas went on to The Ohio State University College of Dentistry to obtain his dental degree. He graduated from Dental School in 2006 and moved to Florida shortly after to begin his career as a General Dentist.
Dr Helidonas has many hobbies, mostlypertaining tothe outdoors. Dr. Helidonas loves to travel and vacation with his family. To Dr. Helidonas, family comes first, although he does treat his patients as if they were family. Dr Helidonas is married and has 3 children.
Its fairly common to find one or more teeth with exposed dentin during a patients dental exam. The protective covering of the tooth, known as enamel, will be partially missing. Without the enamel, the dentin is missing its natural protection, and is prone to decay in patients with poor brushing habits, or frequent dry mouth. People with normal saliva who brush properly are at less of a risk from having exposed dentin.
Over time, the exposed dentin will be subject to chemical erosion from various fluids as well as mechanical abrasion from brushing the teeth. This is a slow process, and generally doesnt require urgent repair of the dentin. However, this can eventually cause the surrounding enamel to erode away over time.

I told the girl I'd like an early morning appointment because I'm an insulin dependent diabetic and I don't like to worry about my sugar getting too low. So she says, "How about 10:45." So I say, forget about it. Despite the offices denial, I know who I called because it was on a neighbor's recommendation.

I have terrible anxiety when it comes to dental work or dentist. They were so patient and kind to me it helped me overcome a lot of my fears. I have beem back several times and still continue to receive the same patience and kindness.

I tried a couple places to get a crown and buildup done on my tooth the Dr was very nice and informative and the front desk lady was even nicer was able to do crown same day for me and the best part they only charged me 695 definitely coming back for any other work I'm gonna have done everybody else was atleast almost twice that and not nearly as good service 10/10 would recommend to anyone needing a trustworthy cheap dentist

We were going to another dental office and we were not happy with them so someone mentioned gentle dental and we thought we'd give it a try .Best decision we ever made!! They are very honest and did a great job . The staff is amazing. Julie, Ivelise and Dr. Helidonas are the best . Thank you especially to Julie for making our sons first visit such a nice experience . We were going to another dental office and we were not happy with them so someone mentioned gentle dental and we thought we'd give it a try .Best decision we ever made!! Dr Heliodonis was amazing and so gentle with me! I am very very afraid of dentists and he understood my fears and took them seriously. I had quite a bit of dental work done and he was so gentle and kind. His staff was great as well especially eve. Although I still hate to go to see the dentist at least I have someone who I know truly cares. My only negative point would be that they don't take any Medicare advantage plans This is an addendum to my post dated 7 months ago. Although, Dr Helidonis is not on my Medicare Advantage Plan, I go to him because I trust him. His prices for a lot of things are just as good if not better than my medicare advantage plan. I just left his office today 3/1/2018 and had my final crown on, as usual, he and his staff were amazing. I HATE, HATE, HATE Dentists, I have panic attacks., Doc always takes that into consideration. He will always be my dentist of choice due to all the qualities I have listed above and I TRUST HIS DIAGNOSIS. His staff are also very great too. Kudo's to you Dr Helidonis. Also, great, great joke you told me today!!! Best one I have heard in a long time.
