Roderick Place was named COO of InterDent in 2017 and assumed Co-Leadership as Chief Executive Officer in 2018. Mr. Place has extensive experience transforming private equity backed healthcare companies through his strategic leadership, focus on operational excellence, clinical leadership collaboration, and structuring of field operations and corporate support teams. Mr. Place is also accomplished in leading boards and executive teams through expansive growth in mergers & acquisitions, DeNovo, due diligence and market consolidation. Before joining InterDent, Mr. Place served in executive level operations roles with Western Dental, MedQuest Associates and Alliance Healthcare. Mr. Place is also the Managing Director and Co-Founder of MedSummit Solutions, LLC. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Grand Valley State University.
Matthew Wickesberg joined InterDent as EVP/CFO in 2016 and assumed Co-Leadership as Executive Vice Chairman two years later. In 2019, he was further elevated to Co-Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wickesberg is an experienced board member, executive officer, and lender with a deep background in multi-site hospitality and healthcare industries. He is also experienced working with lending institutions and private equity firms through structuring capital, due diligence, mergers & acquisitions, and uncovering portfolio synergies. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Wickesberg served in various senior finance roles with HOA Restaurant Group, ZTejas, Inc., and GE Capital. Mr. Wickesberg received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Oklahoma State University and his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Dr. Heather Hawkins has committed her career to patient care while understanding current healthcare trends and value-based comprehensive care. Dr. Hawkins has an expansive clinical, academic and operational background, including leading medical-dental integration as well as quality and risk management for multi-site healthcare organizations. After 12 years of practicing general dentistry, she expanded her skills with several key roles in academia. In 2012 she joined the team at Adventist Health in Northern California, a multi-site health care organization with over 5,000 medical and dental staff physicians, as the Director of Quality. In her leadership role there, Dr. Hawkins led expansion and integration across the health system with medical and dental clinic management and an emphasis on comprehensive care models addressing patient risk factors, active disease and preventative measures. Dr. Hawkins earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and her Advanced Education in General Dentistry Certification from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Dr. Manu Chaudhry has dedicated his career in the pursuit of dental health care, improving clinical quality and access to care, and transforming delivery of care to improve overall health outcomes. He is a dynamic and mission-driven leader with extensive leadership experience over multi-region dental practices, and has also founded multiple collaborative organizations that reduce oral and overall health disparities. Dr. Chaudhry is a board member of Healthier Kids Foundation and holds a Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of the Pacific.
Sandra Lau is a seasoned legal adviser with over fourteen years experience acting as General Counsel of multiple dental healthcare corporations. Ms. Laus responsibilities include advising executive management, supporting strategic growth initiatives, overseeing all aspects of the corporate legal function including HIPAA, state and federal regulatory compliance, corporate transactions and governance, mergers and acquisitions, and risk and litigation management. Before Joining InterDent, Ms. Lau served as General Counsel at Western Dental. Ms. Lau holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Juris Doctor from Loyola Marymount University.
Bernard Piccione has extensive experience across a wide range of industries delivering complex enterprise-scale information technology solutions to achieve major global business value and objectives. Mr. Piccione excels at driving sustainable business growth through IT modernization, solution development, and global transformation initiatives while building strong partnerships to better leverage technology solutions. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Piccione served as CIO for Ingenuity Advisory Partners, Inc., Complex Care Solutions, Inc., and MagnaCare. Mr. Piccione holds a Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science from Boston University.
Darrin Kellaris is a senior marketing executive with over 20 years experience specializing in digital marketing, social media, and brand strategy. Mr. Kellaris offers a record of success in creating and driving marketing strategies that strengthen revenue, margins, and market share by elevating brand authenticity and relevance. At InterDent, he leads all aspects of marketing including digital and social media, brand positioning, and performance analytics. Prior to joining InterDent, he led marketing efforts at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and IHOP. Mr. Kellaris holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from San Diego State University.
Diane Stern brings almost 20 years of dental services organizational experience specializing in organizational design and strategic partnering. Ms. Stern is responsible for Human Resources planning and strategy for recruiting, retention, benefits and performance management. She built her HR leadership experience through roles at Coast Dental, PrimeCo Wireless Communications and LabCorp where she focused on employee programs to increase engagement and satisfaction along with operational efficiencies. Ms. Stern holds a Bachelors degree in English Literature, Education, and Business from the University of Tampa and volunteers at KMR Group Foundation.

I have never once left a dentist happier then I came in, except for the McMinnville location of Gentle Dental. I have had broad experiences with this establishment and every single one was painless and joyful. I had multiple different appointments and making each one of those was just as 'painless' as the procedures. I had multiple dentists all of which handled pretty sensitive areas in my teeth and never once did I feel a pinch, they are so careful and take so much caution when working on your teeth. It was a 10/10 experiences, throughout all of the nurses, assistants, front desk workers and doctors alike I write this review to say thank you for being the best and most friendly and sophisticated office I've ever been to.

WORST PLACE EVER! From receptionist who don't care about you to the HORRIBLE wait times for ABSOLUTELY ANY KIND OF SERVICE!! I Waited 4 months for the exam and 5 months for the cleaning and 6months for fillings just to get a call a WEEK before that that doctor is out on that day now and I will now have to wait till MARCH 2023!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! This is the last straw! Good luck if you choose this place! You teeth might end up worse off then when you came in just waiting for them to actually go through with your appointments!

2022 update.... Now Gentle Dental and in the parking lot near Walmart, this team of people is professional and accepts OHP. My most recent visit for a cleaning was the most fun I've had at a dentist office since they offered me toys at the end. Jackie, the dental hygienist, was such a good conversationalist, very positive and encouraging and extremely competent. I left the appointment feeling as though I had made a new friend and full of gratitude. Thank you all and especially Jackie. 2019 original post....The people at Smile Keepers McMinnville are about heartful friendly service. They currently accept the Oregon Health Plan which many, many dentists in the area do not, sadly. This means you will likely see quite a few people in the waiting area who need help and that makes me proud of my dentist because they are serving the underserved :-) Each dental assistant has been extremely personable and they feel like your friends and I have found that each one of them is extremely competent technically, careful, and respectful. I haven't met all of the dentist personally but I know that Dr Mac and Dr Matthews are fantastic based on my family's experience with them. Dental problems can make for a very bad day or a bad week and they understand this and strike the balance of caring empathy and professional researched understanding of the problem and solution. One of my dental hygienist, Zora, told me that her mission is to simply be of service and be a light for her patients and that is exactly what she is for me. For those that have private insurance these dentist will take care of you and for those of you who have the Oregon Health Plan please also know that these dentists will take amazingly good care of you and treat you with respect and kindness. Finally, the folks who work at the front desk are also upbeat, kind, and direct which is sometimes a rarity when the position is so challenging, working with a lot of people who are in pain. I'm grateful for everyone there. I wanted to share and celebrate the people who work at this dental office. They are an amazing resource for our community.

The McMinnville Gentle Dental has always taken very good care of myself and my kids. We have been going to this clinic for over 10 years now. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The doctors are knowledgeable and gentle and explain things very well. The office is always hopping with patients but I never feel ignored. I appreciate the service and care I receive at this office.

Caring efficient front office. Dr Mack was gentle, quick and most important very communicative about the process and the reasons. He listened and respected my concerns. I was very comfortable despite having severe dentist phobias. I left feeling very happy with the experience.

Don't give yourself a migraine trying to deal with these folks! First appt the office was confused at what time I was REALLY supposed to be here. My confirmation time for my appointment said 3:30pm. Showed up at 3:25pm. Was told my appointment was at 3pm! I was still seen HOWEVER I listened to the front staff whisper and complain about me the whole time I waited! Ended up walking out the door when all was said and done at 5pm! Was then told can't be seen for a filling for over 6 MONTHS! But a cleaning could be done in 3 months! Now showed up for my second appointment for the cleaning and was told it was cancelled due to non confirmation. First of all NO VOICEMAIL was ever left! I received one text and was unable to confirm due to a system error with the link and my work hours being different from open office hours was unable to call the office directly. The front staff has a big attitude issue if you inconvenience them in the slightest as well. If you can go elsewhere DO IT! Seems like every interaction with this place has ended in a big frustrating ordeal!

My first appointment was today and was amazing! Dr. Mack and his staff are ALL so warm and welcoming. I am always very anxious and scared at the dentist,they all made me feel at ease and comfortable. Dr. Mack was honest and explained treatment plan great with lots of valuable information and encouragement. I am glad I chose this office and am looking forward to my future treatments with their team! I would recommend them to everyone, you won't regret it!

Tried to make an appointment for an extraction instead they keep trying to schedule a root canal. Say they will call us back and after waiting more than 2 weeks we finally had to call them. We finally get an appointment and then they postpone it. Then during the time we have been waiting for months ended up with Covid and now they refuse the appointment and say we can't get in again for months.

Horrible place. They expected me to wait 7 months to have an abscessed tooth extracted. Can you believe that? Now I come to find out they made my client, Andy Davis wait in chronic pain for months. Only to call him today and tell him no dentists work on Thursdays. When Andy asked, "Why did you schedule me on a Thursday?" Their response was , " we made a mistake." Uh no. Sorry guys that's not how chronic pain works. I am Andy's PSW and by law I have to report abuse. This is patient abuse of a disabled persons and I will be reporting you to YCDD and all higher channels. Unacceptable.

This place is evil. They are expecting my husband to wait 7 months for a tooth extraction in chronic pain, and the dentist gave him 10 pain pills. 10. I also just found out this place made my disabled friend wait months to get an abscessed tooth fixed and they called him today saying they don't have dentists in on Thursday's. Are you guys for real? You are leaving people in chronic pain and your answer is we made a mistake ? You all should be disgusted with yourselves and shut down. We will be reporting your clinic and administrator to YCDD for patient abuse . Andy Davis is protected by law via his PSW and abuse is not tolerated . You are butchers .

My granddaughter had a wonderful experience with Dr Mathew. She did her first ever appointment and then had a filling done and never felt any pain or discomfort. In fact my granddaughter can't wait for her next filling appointment.

I had a great experience at Gentle Dental McMinnville. My hygienist, Beth, is the best and she's always very professional and friendly. My teeth felt so clean. My dentist Dr. Mack is great. I really liked how he took the time to explain my treatment plan. Thank you to all the staff; they are all very friendly and professional!

I was so impressed with Dr.Mac for taking the time to educate me on my dental status and welcome any questions I had without rushing me out the door. He is also the only dentist who made the impossible possible by removing these k9 stains I had that other professionals referred to as part of aging. He along with his assistant and the rest of the staff was refreshingly down to earth and friendly! I like it there, especially how accommodating and happy everyone is!!! You leave there upbeat
