    Roderick Place was named COO of InterDent in 2017 and assumed Co-Leadership as Chief Executive Officer in 2018. Mr. Place has extensive experience transforming private equity backed healthcare companies through his strategic leadership, focus on operational excellence, clinical leadership collaboration, and structuring of field operations and corporate support teams. Mr. Place is also accomplished in leading boards and executive teams through expansive growth in mergers & acquisitions, DeNovo, due diligence and market consolidation. Before joining InterDent, Mr. Place served in executive level operations roles with Western Dental, MedQuest Associates and Alliance Healthcare. Mr. Place is also the Managing Director and Co-Founder of MedSummit Solutions, LLC. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Grand Valley State University.

    Matthew Wickesberg joined InterDent as EVP/CFO in 2016 and assumed Co-Leadership as Executive Vice Chairman two years later. In 2019, he was further elevated to Co-Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wickesberg is an experienced board member, executive officer, and lender with a deep background in multi-site hospitality and healthcare industries. He is also experienced working with lending institutions and private equity firms through structuring capital, due diligence, mergers & acquisitions, and uncovering portfolio synergies. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Wickesberg served in various senior finance roles with HOA Restaurant Group, ZTejas, Inc., and GE Capital. Mr. Wickesberg received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Oklahoma State University and his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

    Dr. Heather Hawkins has committed her career to patient care while understanding current healthcare trends and value-based comprehensive care. Dr. Hawkins has an expansive clinical, academic and operational background, including leading medical-dental integration as well as quality and risk management for multi-site healthcare organizations. After 12 years of practicing general dentistry, she expanded her skills with several key roles in academia. In 2012 she joined the team at Adventist Health in Northern California, a multi-site health care organization with over 5,000 medical and dental staff physicians, as the Director of Quality. In her leadership role there, Dr. Hawkins led expansion and integration across the health system with medical and dental clinic management and an emphasis on comprehensive care models addressing patient risk factors, active disease and preventative measures. Dr. Hawkins earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and her Advanced Education in General Dentistry Certification from Virginia Commonwealth University.

    Dr. Manu Chaudhry has dedicated his career in the pursuit of dental health care, improving clinical quality and access to care, and transforming delivery of care to improve overall health outcomes. He is a dynamic and mission-driven leader with extensive leadership experience over multi-region dental practices, and has also founded multiple collaborative organizations that reduce oral and overall health disparities. Dr. Chaudhry is a board member of Healthier Kids Foundation and holds a Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of the Pacific.

    Sandra Lau is a seasoned legal adviser with over fourteen years experience acting as General Counsel of multiple dental healthcare corporations. Ms. Laus responsibilities include advising executive management, supporting strategic growth initiatives, overseeing all aspects of the corporate legal function including HIPAA, state and federal regulatory compliance, corporate transactions and governance, mergers and acquisitions, and risk and litigation management. Before Joining InterDent, Ms. Lau served as General Counsel at Western Dental. Ms. Lau holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Juris Doctor from Loyola Marymount University.

    Bernard Piccione has extensive experience across a wide range of industries delivering complex enterprise-scale information technology solutions to achieve major global business value and objectives. Mr. Piccione excels at driving sustainable business growth through IT modernization, solution development, and global transformation initiatives while building strong partnerships to better leverage technology solutions. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Piccione served as CIO for Ingenuity Advisory Partners, Inc., Complex Care Solutions, Inc., and MagnaCare. Mr. Piccione holds a Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science from Boston University.

    Darrin Kellaris is a senior marketing executive with over 20 years experience specializing in digital marketing, social media, and brand strategy. Mr. Kellaris offers a record of success in creating and driving marketing strategies that strengthen revenue, margins, and market share by elevating brand authenticity and relevance. At InterDent, he leads all aspects of marketing including digital and social media, brand positioning, and performance analytics. Prior to joining InterDent, he led marketing efforts at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and IHOP. Mr. Kellaris holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from San Diego State University.

    Diane Stern brings almost 20 years of dental services organizational experience specializing in organizational design and strategic partnering. Ms. Stern is responsible for Human Resources planning and strategy for recruiting, retention, benefits and performance management. She built her HR leadership experience through roles at Coast Dental, PrimeCo Wireless Communications and LabCorp where she focused on employee programs to increase engagement and satisfaction along with operational efficiencies. Ms. Stern holds a Bachelors degree in English Literature, Education, and Business from the University of Tampa and volunteers at KMR Group Foundation.

    I've always had a great experience at Gentle Dental. I really loathe going to the dentist but the staff here makes it as pleasant of an experience as possible. Special shout out to Danielle and Dr. Z for always taking such great care of me.

    I came in for a consultation and was immediately shut down and was told that I have a mobility tooth. While I can appreciate the information, I was also given little details. I felt ashamed, uncomfortable and very worried. I left that dentist office feeling so unsettled. I was only told to follow with a gum specialist and NOTHING else! I really wish that someone took the time to speak to me about this, it would have been more comforting. The doctor that spoke to me about my mobile tooth took a quick glance at my X-rays.

    I have literally hated going to the dentist since I was a child until I started coming here. The staff is incredible and so friendly. I'm always so comfortable here and they're very clear about what needs to be done and plans to do so. 100% would recommend!!

    We were given the best level of I have ever had. Went for my 2 year olds first visit and I had an appointment so did one of my other children the staff helped me with my little one and she had the best first visit a kid could have and helped me when I had to get my services done. They listened to my concerns and my needs and we're very attentive. Thank you thank you thank you

    I have a lot of anxiety in general, so going to the dentist is a big deal for me and I do my best to go into my appointments with a positive mindset. Each and every appointment I have had with Dr. Yip, she made me feel sad, ashamed, and she doesn't care to make you feel comfortable she just wants to be direct. I can respect direct, even assertive dentists but it's as if she wanted to make sure you feel bad and how harsh her words are when she's trying to give you dental guidance. It's not like I came into the dentist thinking my teeth were perfect, it's such a shame she made me feel so sad when I came to her and entrusted her for help without judgment. I never want to have an appointment with her ever again. It has been years since I have had an appointment with doctor yip, and I remember everything she has said to me which is why I will never go back to her or this location if she's there. It doesn't matter how you feel that day, or how you prepare she's gonna judge your teeth whether you like it or not and she's gonna make you feel bad about it for no reason. I have been struggling with my mental health and I go into mediate my dental health and I am disrespected, what a joke. Like, is this a part of the deal? For you to belittle me? Make me feel bad that my teeth aren't in perfect condition? Luckily there are other locations with other dentists who have nicer attitudes, and actually care to make me feel comfortable. Dile Yip? never again will I tolerate that behavior and I hope she sees this because clearly I'm not the only patient that she feels free to disrespect and put down. Have some compassion or be quiet if you can't be kind. People are struggling. People want to feel good when they go to the dentist, so maybe you should think about that doctor yip. Everyone else is great at this location, and other gentle dental's are cool but the way she treated me takes all that away so.....good luck with that.

    I, sadly, needed a root canal on my front tooth due to a nasty abscess and they not only got it done quickly and near painlessly, they answered all my questions and concerns, rebuilt my tooth properly, and were just great people. I'm coming from the Capital Hill/Seattle branch to this one and the staff and service is just as amazing as there. My mouth tastes fresher ever since. It really makes a difference and I am excited to get my minor cavities filled and keep my cleanings going with Gentle Dental.

    Hygienist is really great but this place is not Not good for braces. I feel frustrated almost every after my ortho appointment here. I had to come back many times in pain because wires and bonds keep breaking. I wish there's a second orthodontist in their clinic that could handle this. I feel like I wasted all my money, time and gas. I thought this was a good place because of high rating it gets here in google but it doesn't feel like it is. I'm hoping to get a refund at this point because I'm not really happy. I'm really losing Hope after almost 3 years of patiently waiting for it to be over soon.

    Really sweet folks here. They explained what they were doing durning the entire experience which eased my anxiety. Hadn't gone to the dentist in a few years so it was nice to have such kind folks to help me. Danielle was super duper cool!

    I have been impressed since day one with this location and the entire staff. They are professional and have outstanding customer service. Val is wonderful and very knowledgeable. I have and would definitely highly recommend this location. Keep doing what you are doing!

    After not seeing a dentist for over 10 years, I went to my local Gentle Dental. The front desk folks took all my insurance information and helped me set up an appointment and provided me with estimates so I wouldn't have to worry about finances during my first visit to see the doctor. All of the staff are very kind and helpful. The front desk screens everyone coming in for COVID and all of the staff properly wear their masks and it makes me feel safe and well cared for. Dr. Zevallos is great! He talks through what he is doing while working and made sure I was not uncomfortable during my appointment. All in all, a great dentistry office and I am so grateful for everyone there.

    Professional establishment that takes the time to genuinely get to know you as a client. Highly recommend giving them a shot. From the front desk to the head dentist, they work thoroughly and make the necessary time to not rush that smile.
