    Roderick Place was named COO of InterDent in 2017 and assumed Co-Leadership as Chief Executive Officer in 2018. Mr. Place has extensive experience transforming private equity backed healthcare companies through his strategic leadership, focus on operational excellence, clinical leadership collaboration, and structuring of field operations and corporate support teams. Mr. Place is also accomplished in leading boards and executive teams through expansive growth in mergers & acquisitions, DeNovo, due diligence and market consolidation. Before joining InterDent, Mr. Place served in executive level operations roles with Western Dental, MedQuest Associates and Alliance Healthcare. Mr. Place is also the Managing Director and Co-Founder of MedSummit Solutions, LLC. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Grand Valley State University.

    Matthew Wickesberg joined InterDent as EVP/CFO in 2016 and assumed Co-Leadership as Executive Vice Chairman two years later. In 2019, he was further elevated to Co-Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wickesberg is an experienced board member, executive officer, and lender with a deep background in multi-site hospitality and healthcare industries. He is also experienced working with lending institutions and private equity firms through structuring capital, due diligence, mergers & acquisitions, and uncovering portfolio synergies. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Wickesberg served in various senior finance roles with HOA Restaurant Group, ZTejas, Inc., and GE Capital. Mr. Wickesberg received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Oklahoma State University and his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

    Dr. Heather Hawkins has committed her career to patient care while understanding current healthcare trends and value-based comprehensive care. Dr. Hawkins has an expansive clinical, academic and operational background, including leading medical-dental integration as well as quality and risk management for multi-site healthcare organizations. After 12 years of practicing general dentistry, she expanded her skills with several key roles in academia. In 2012 she joined the team at Adventist Health in Northern California, a multi-site health care organization with over 5,000 medical and dental staff physicians, as the Director of Quality. In her leadership role there, Dr. Hawkins led expansion and integration across the health system with medical and dental clinic management and an emphasis on comprehensive care models addressing patient risk factors, active disease and preventative measures. Dr. Hawkins earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and her Advanced Education in General Dentistry Certification from Virginia Commonwealth University.

    Dr. Manu Chaudhry has dedicated his career in the pursuit of dental health care, improving clinical quality and access to care, and transforming delivery of care to improve overall health outcomes. He is a dynamic and mission-driven leader with extensive leadership experience over multi-region dental practices, and has also founded multiple collaborative organizations that reduce oral and overall health disparities. Dr. Chaudhry is a board member of Healthier Kids Foundation and holds a Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of the Pacific.

    Sandra Lau is a seasoned legal adviser with over fourteen years experience acting as General Counsel of multiple dental healthcare corporations. Ms. Laus responsibilities include advising executive management, supporting strategic growth initiatives, overseeing all aspects of the corporate legal function including HIPAA, state and federal regulatory compliance, corporate transactions and governance, mergers and acquisitions, and risk and litigation management. Before Joining InterDent, Ms. Lau served as General Counsel at Western Dental. Ms. Lau holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Juris Doctor from Loyola Marymount University.

    Bernard Piccione has extensive experience across a wide range of industries delivering complex enterprise-scale information technology solutions to achieve major global business value and objectives. Mr. Piccione excels at driving sustainable business growth through IT modernization, solution development, and global transformation initiatives while building strong partnerships to better leverage technology solutions. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Piccione served as CIO for Ingenuity Advisory Partners, Inc., Complex Care Solutions, Inc., and MagnaCare. Mr. Piccione holds a Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science from Boston University.

    Darrin Kellaris is a senior marketing executive with over 20 years experience specializing in digital marketing, social media, and brand strategy. Mr. Kellaris offers a record of success in creating and driving marketing strategies that strengthen revenue, margins, and market share by elevating brand authenticity and relevance. At InterDent, he leads all aspects of marketing including digital and social media, brand positioning, and performance analytics. Prior to joining InterDent, he led marketing efforts at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and IHOP. Mr. Kellaris holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from San Diego State University.

    Diane Stern brings almost 20 years of dental services organizational experience specializing in organizational design and strategic partnering. Ms. Stern is responsible for Human Resources planning and strategy for recruiting, retention, benefits and performance management. She built her HR leadership experience through roles at Coast Dental, PrimeCo Wireless Communications and LabCorp where she focused on employee programs to increase engagement and satisfaction along with operational efficiencies. Ms. Stern holds a Bachelors degree in English Literature, Education, and Business from the University of Tampa and volunteers at KMR Group Foundation.

    I made an appointment for my husband in January because his bottom right molar was bothering him. It was cracked and food would get in between the crack and the pain would get even worse. This was the reason for the appointment. I will admit, it was my husbands fault for not clarifying and verifying what he was actually paying for. They told him he needed Periodontitis treatment (which he thought was for his molar issue since they didn't fully explain to him) and they made it seem like he was paying for this specific treatment. After calling and verifying what he was actually charged for, he was charged $344 for a cleaning and plaque removal and this was with insurance. He wasn't even treated for the issue that the appointment was made for and the treatment plan he was given, wasn't even to treat his issue either. The type of insurance we have requires us to change providers on the 1st of the month, so it took a few months to find a new dentist that was in network and accepting patients. He finally saw a dentist that helped him with the issue at hand, the cracked molar. This new dentist was in disbelief that Gentle Dental took X-rays and did nothing about the issue and let my husband walk out with the same broken molar he walked in with. This new provider told my husband his gums were okay and didn't even need Periodontist treatment. The total to get his molar fix came out to $82. I still do not believe that a cleaning and plaque removal would be almost 4x the amount of getting a cracked tooth fixed. I would suggest you get a second opinion before getting anything done with Gentle Dental. And verify what they are billing your insurance and you.

    Had a tooth emergency and they got me right in. Friendly, clean environment and very thorough. Dentist did a great job on a tooth that was very difficult to get to. He talked me through the procedure and always kept a kind voice.

    I had a tooth extracted. Dr Bingham is so very gentle and patient. He even held the chin so that the jaw didn't hurt later. The rest of the staff was kind and caring. Everyone was very sweet, but professional. The only negative was that there was no phone number on the aftercare paperwork.

    I am so skeptical a of all dental offices , because of the dishonesty of trying to scam patients with false diagnoses to make more money. At Gentle Dental, they are very honest. Plus, the name really goes well with the practice because they are very gentle. My gums were sensitive and the X-ray tech used such caution and care. Marsha, the Hygienist, was amazing, the best cleaning I've had in over 10 years. Tha doctor was very honest, and spends time to explain the plan of care. The receptionist was very pleasant, and personable. My whole experience was amazing. The entire staff is awesome. I was sold from the minute the scheduler answered the phone and was pleasant, and patient . I already called my girlfriend to make an appointment.

    I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 because the front desk lady was so amazing. I went in today in excruciating pain. They found that I have a massive infection. I told the nurse that I had already been on antibiotics for 3 to 4 days and had been taking all the OTC meds together to help with the pain. Apparently she didnot tell the dentist this and when he came in to see me he says well I'll give you some antibiotics... to which I replied I was already taking some. Then he says with an attitude well were did you get those??? Seriously .... from my teledoc because your office was closed not that I have to explain. I proceeded to tell him how much pain I was in, touching my face hurts, I can't eat, the swelling and throbbing. I told him I was taking Tylenol and Motrin every 4 hours and he says well you have to take it a very specific way for it to work and says that he won't give me anything stronger because HE doesn't like the way it makes HIM feel when HE takes it. Like what the..... seriously I don't care how you feel about it. So I left the office with no change and still in so much pain but with a paper that tells me how to take Tylenol and Motrin the "correct" way.... I miss the other dentist that was there he actually seemed to care. I am beyond disappointed in the practice and do not recommend it to anyone that has pain that needs help.

    My kids came in for a check up to both Dr Bingham and Marcia ( hygienist ) they're great with kids they made them feel so comfortable . There was more stars to give I would thank you everyone from the front to back office great team

    I came to office looking for a dentist I felt comfortable with. I'm happy to say I have found that. Dr. Bingham worked me in for treatment at my first appointment. You can tell that he is skilled and knowledgeable in his profession. Chelsea in the front office was warm and bubbly right off the bat. She instantly put me at ease. And the assistants working with me were friendly and welcoming. All in all, I would highly recommend this office and Dentist to all my friends and family. I have found my Dental home! Thank you!

    Had major work to be done, they were the most economical and I liked the office. Had an implant removed, five teeth extracted, new upper denture, 4addrd to my lower denture. Dr. Bingham was extraordinary in bedside manor and so knowledgeable and thorough along detailed. A trait well served in all that I had done. Entire staff was incredible. After seeing them every week for 2-3 months i actually miss them.

    I had a great experience here. The office runs smooth, and I never feel rushed. They even worked me in when I was really late to my appointment. They made it happen for me when I had a really difficult scheduling conflict. I appreciate that they care about you as a patient and individual. The office is clean, and professional, while friendly. 5 stars!

    We had a great experience at this office, we recently moved to the area and were so impressed with the friendly professional staff. My daughter had an exam and cleaning. Both the doctor and hygienist were very warm and put my daughter at ease. When I asked the office staff if they could work her in last minute for a filling she needed done they worked things around and fit us in. We a so happy to have found such a great office!

    I love this place. The dentist Doctor is great and their dentist assistants with their front staff are friendly. Short wait times with the appointments. I definitely would recommend. Quality dental work!

    *EDIT: they keep trying to take down my review! Let that be a huge red flag! DO NOT GO HERE! I'm extremely surprised to see all the good reviews because this place is definitely a chain business where getting as much money from patients with mediocre medical help is more important than anything. I came in an waited an hour to be pulled back. Which, I understand things happen so I wasn't very upset about it. I made my appointment for an exam and cleaning. When pulled back the woman was very kind and explained what she was doing, which was taking xrays. She then said that afterwards they will make my appointment for the cleaning. What?! She saw my puzzled look and said, "We don't have a hygienist here today. Did they not tell you?" I said, "Nope, I wouldn't of wasted my day off to come down here if I knew." Saying I was disappointed and annoyed is an understatement. I was debating on walking out at that moment but I had already been there for an hour so I just decided to see what they had to say. After she took my xrays i once again sat and waited. The doctor came over with a tech and he briefly talked to me to then ignore me and talk to the tech and not explain anything about my teeth. Mind you, all the dental stations are open and near one another so all the patients could hear and see each other! Isn't that a HIPPA violation?! I was so embarrassed. The receptionist then came over to explain how much it would be, $2,200 before insurance and $750 after. Ok, I can handle that. They were going to deep clean and fix 3 cavities as far as I knew. I was so confused and dissatisfied with the appointment that I found a private practice that was highly rated to go to to get a 2nd opinion. WOW! Completely different! Was warmly greeted, the doctor was extremely personable, they explained my teeth to great detail, showed me my xrays unlike the other place, told me I had TWO not three cavities, they cleaned my teeth right there on the spot, then filled my cavities on the spot, and were a complete breath of fresh air! And the best part, it was only $85 after insurance! WHAT! That blew my mind! Gental Dental in the bottom of the barrel, nasty dentistry that could careless about patients! Don't waste your time!

    I took my mom here for the first time. She was so anxious and worried about going to the dentist. It's her least favorite place to go ever! This place was awesome! She said when she came out that was the best dentist appointment she had ever had. The Doctor was great and the hygienist was great. They made her feel comfortable and she wasn't in any pain at all. She left feeling good about herself. The office staff was super friendly and so kind and gentle. We recommend this office to everyone!
