Originally from Elmira, New York, she moved to Saint Petersburg in 1981 and grew up right here in Pinellas County. Graduating with Honors from St. Pete High in '97, she married her high-school sweetheart in 2000. They've traveled to and lived in Japan, Mississippi and Virginia where her husband was stationed while serving in the US Navy.
Now back in St. Petersburg with their 2 beautiful children, Amaya, 16, and Chase, 5, she has been with our team since 2016 and is our fabulous office manager, patient coordinator, insurance handler and billing manager. She is an invaluable asset to YOUR care team. She loves talking and meeting new people, so be sure to meet her in person.
Although born in New York, she came to Florida at 2 years old and grew up right here in Pinellas County. She has been a dental hygienist for 10 years, beginning her career her senior year of high school.
She graduated with her AA and As in dental hygiene from SPC in 2005. She further went on to graduate with her BASDH from SPC in 2007. Following graduation, she began working as a clinical instructor at SPC and continues to teach there to this day.
She is currently going to school for her master degree in instructional design. She has a passion for teaching future dental hygienists and loves working with her patients and being an integral role in their journey for improved oral health. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and doing school work.

I'm used to the dentist seeing me for a couple minutes and everything else being other staff. This dentist does everything: the cleaning, everything. It's just him and the receptionist so when you are in there everything is with the dentist. In the last 6 years I had been to a few big corporate dentists who wouldn't touch my teeth until I had a very expensive, painful type of cleaning done due to gum disease. I haven't been able to afford it. So I have been walking around with cavities and stuff and just figured this is the way it had to be. This dentist found a gentle route around it with affordable debridement and a regimen he prescribed me, and now my gums are healing without the expensive, unnecessary cleaning I thought I needed. The dentist is very kind, the office staff is very kind. Never a long wait and affordable prices. They have saved my mouth.

I would highly recommend Dr. Spinuso and his team of caring professionals to any of my family and friends. Dr. Spinuso is patient and very gentle- I, like many people don't like going to the dentist-however, Dr. Spinuso has been wonderful to me- very, gentle and patient with me-I would also highly recommend Loretta Poling who is my hygienist- Loretta is also a caring professional who is gentle and very patient- If you are looking for a dentist with a caring professional staff Gentle Dental Family Dentistry is the place for you!

Dr Spinuso and Alex are the best dentists I have ever had, they're very patient and nice. A visit to Dr. Spinuso's office always feels like being treated by family. Every person there is professional, gentle friendly, knowledgeable, and highly competent. They take the time to provide you with complete answers to questions, help you identify short and long term goals, and offer encouragement to help you reach those goals. It is always a very positive experience. I really do feel like folks there treat me like I was part of their extended family, and I appreciate it. If you are trying to decide where to go for your dental care, I would definitely recommend Dr Spinuso and Dr Alex!

I went to Gentle Dental today for my 1st visit, I must say it was one of my best experiences in the dental office that I have ever had. I was pleased to meet my new dentist Alex . He is a hard working young man with a lot of knowledge and to find out why he is so sharp, he stated that his dad is in the next room over with a patient. He took the time to explain everything to me in English and went over all my ex-rays tooth by tooth. He even went as far to show me everything he was talking about with a hand held mirror. Dr. Alex Spinuso was awesome! I was really nervous going into my appointment but he talked me through everything he was doing and eased my worry without issue. I could tell he genuinely cared about my health and put that first. I'll be taking my kids in soon for there checkups!

Dr Spinuso and Alex are great dentists, they take the time to explain all of your options and will tailor a plan that is right for you and is affordable. I have been going there for over 10 years and have no fear of the dentist anymore. If you need an awesome dentist, come here...they are accepting new patients and take many insurance plans.

Dr. Alex and Gabriele Spinuso did a wonderful job and accommodated by huge fear of seeing the dentist. They were very gentle hence the name. I would highly recommend five stars and everyone to go check them out.

Dr. Spinuso and his son Dr. Alex are absolutely amazing. I've been seeing Dr. Spinuso for several years now and my teeth are gorgeous and healthy. I had the pleasure of having Dr. Alex work on an issue with my tooth this week and now I'm having no pain! He was extremely professional and knowledgeable and explained every step of the process. Dr. Spinuso and Dr. Alex are by far the best dentists that I have had the pleasure of treating with. EVER! I love Daphne the receptionist too!!
