Dr Cody is such a wonderful dentist! He's kind, compassionate, skilled, and down to earth. He takes time to answer your questions. He never makes you feel rushed. He is not just a good dentist, he's a good human being. I also appreciate that Gentle Dental has orthodontists that visit GD patients in their office. It's convenient and allows for collaboration between the orthodontist and dentist you might otherwise not receive. My daughter had a baby tooth that wouldn't budge and was delaying the installation of an appliance and Dr. Cody being onsite, came over and took care of it so they could proceed. We've been going to GD since we moved to Renton 8 years ago since it was so close to our home. Now our insurance doesn't cover it in full, but we value the experience so we continue to go there.

I received the best dental experience I've ever had at this gentle dental. We made a plan for every tooth in my mouth. The most important thing that stood out to me was the caring demeanor of the xray tech that wiped my tears off my face when I cried because I was nervous from a prior traumatic dental experience. Muslim was such a caring man and he went out of his way to lake sure I was okay. Thank you Gentle Dental.

Gentle dental? More like rough, INCOMPETENT dental. I been with this orthodontist 5 years! Yesterday I got my braces off after I consulted with them that there's still a gap in my teeth and they said there was nothing more they could do. They were the ones that removed perfectly good, healthy teeth to make room for "growing teeth". Years of having the wire sticking into my gums and cheeks, of brackets falling off, of them roughly handling me, only to take the braces off and have my teeth bent inwards. I wasted years and money at this place, this is your warning not to do the same! I don't care if it's the last option on your insurance do not go here!!!!!

I have been a loyal Gentle Dental patient my entire life. I went to the Vancouver and Battle Ground locations as a child, and the Ballard and Capitol Hill locations when I moved to Seattle. I have always been happy with the care I received at those four locations. I recently moved to the Fairwood area and do not understand how this location of Gentle Dental can be so different from the others. I am really disappointed and will not be coming back. The first time I went to the Fairwood location for a half-yearly cleaning, about six months ago, I showed up on time for my appointment but was kept waiting for 45 minutes before I was actually put in a chair, and then waited additional time before any cleaning was actually done. I recently went in for another half-yearly cleaning. The dentist used some tool on me that I have never experienced before, but it was really hot when it got close to my tongue and shot so much water everywhere that it was streaming down my face. After the dentist was done, I told him that I had never experienced that tool before, and he said that he loved the tool but all his patients hated it. So why use it? This place is literally called Gentle Dental, we come here because we want a comfortable experience. My teeth definitely did not feel as clean as they usually do when the standard tools are used, either. When I was checking out and trying to make my next appointment, the receptionist told me I needed to pay a $25 copay for my flouride. I have *never* paid a copay for flouride and I told her that, but she told me I did pay it last time and I needed to pay this time. Rather than continue to argue with her, I just paid so I could make my next appointment and leave. I checked with my dental insurance when I got home and, as I suspected, my insurance covers 100% of my flouride and I should not have any copay. I called Gentle Dental Fairwood back, no one answered, so I left a message stating that I was incorrectly charged a copay and needed a refund. The receptionist called me back today and said I was correct, I do not have a copay, but "they don't really check those things, they just charge people." Seriously? To add insult to injury, she said she was not going to refund me immediately. Instead, I would have to wait until the claim went through with my insurance in 4-6 weeks and THEN they would give me my money back, because they "don't have my money anymore." The receptionist also would not let me get a word in edgewise. She would even ask questions and then just keep talking and not let me respond. So, I'm done. The experience here from check-in to chair to check-out is just a disorganized and uncomfortable mess. I am sad to say that, for the first time in my entire life, I will be seeking dental care from somewhere other than Gentle Dental.

Just had my first appointment at Gentle Dental in Fairwood. This is a busy clinic! I had to book an appointment pretty far out, but I wasn't having issues and I don't have great availability either. I was running late (still forget that COVID-traffic is a thing of the past) so I called to see if I'd need to reschedule. I spoke with the receptionist who was kind enough to ask the dentist if he was still willing to see me. They were willing to see me even though several staff likely stayed later than anticipated to accommodate me. This accommodation was so incredibly appreciated. Dr. Cody was great. All staff were patient with me, my general anxiety when it comes to dental care, and my sensitive teeth. Teeth cleaning was efficient and thorough. I didn't feel "talked down to" and any advice was given without a condescending tone. Good value, great doc and assistant, good experience!

Dr. Cody and technician Maria were excellent for my first visit. They listened to my dental history and gave a clear plan of action moving forward. Clean, spacious office with nice forest artwork at all the chairs. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

communication is definitely key I literally called them ahead of time because I live 1hr away I asked them is there anything I need to bring anything before I come all the way down there they said no everything is good I get all the way down there they say I have to pay a copay then when i told them I called ahead of time an I'm highly upset they blame me and said I didn't mention anything about money wise like that doesn't make any sense I'm not even from here so mentioning copay is important because my wife is in the army so some place you don't need copay
