    Roderick Place was named COO of InterDent in 2017 and assumed Co-Leadership as Chief Executive Officer in 2018. Mr. Place has extensive experience transforming private equity backed healthcare companies through his strategic leadership, focus on operational excellence, clinical leadership collaboration, and structuring of field operations and corporate support teams. Mr. Place is also accomplished in leading boards and executive teams through expansive growth in mergers & acquisitions, DeNovo, due diligence and market consolidation. Before joining InterDent, Mr. Place served in executive level operations roles with Western Dental, MedQuest Associates and Alliance Healthcare. Mr. Place is also the Managing Director and Co-Founder of MedSummit Solutions, LLC. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Grand Valley State University.

    Matthew Wickesberg joined InterDent as EVP/CFO in 2016 and assumed Co-Leadership as Executive Vice Chairman two years later. In 2019, he was further elevated to Co-Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wickesberg is an experienced board member, executive officer, and lender with a deep background in multi-site hospitality and healthcare industries. He is also experienced working with lending institutions and private equity firms through structuring capital, due diligence, mergers & acquisitions, and uncovering portfolio synergies. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Wickesberg served in various senior finance roles with HOA Restaurant Group, ZTejas, Inc., and GE Capital. Mr. Wickesberg received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Oklahoma State University and his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

    Dr. Heather Hawkins has committed her career to patient care while understanding current healthcare trends and value-based comprehensive care. Dr. Hawkins has an expansive clinical, academic and operational background, including leading medical-dental integration as well as quality and risk management for multi-site healthcare organizations. After 12 years of practicing general dentistry, she expanded her skills with several key roles in academia. In 2012 she joined the team at Adventist Health in Northern California, a multi-site health care organization with over 5,000 medical and dental staff physicians, as the Director of Quality. In her leadership role there, Dr. Hawkins led expansion and integration across the health system with medical and dental clinic management and an emphasis on comprehensive care models addressing patient risk factors, active disease and preventative measures. Dr. Hawkins earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and her Advanced Education in General Dentistry Certification from Virginia Commonwealth University.

    Dr. Manu Chaudhry has dedicated his career in the pursuit of dental health care, improving clinical quality and access to care, and transforming delivery of care to improve overall health outcomes. He is a dynamic and mission-driven leader with extensive leadership experience over multi-region dental practices, and has also founded multiple collaborative organizations that reduce oral and overall health disparities. Dr. Chaudhry is a board member of Healthier Kids Foundation and holds a Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of the Pacific.

    Sandra Lau is a seasoned legal adviser with over fourteen years experience acting as General Counsel of multiple dental healthcare corporations. Ms. Laus responsibilities include advising executive management, supporting strategic growth initiatives, overseeing all aspects of the corporate legal function including HIPAA, state and federal regulatory compliance, corporate transactions and governance, mergers and acquisitions, and risk and litigation management. Before Joining InterDent, Ms. Lau served as General Counsel at Western Dental. Ms. Lau holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Juris Doctor from Loyola Marymount University.

    Bernard Piccione has extensive experience across a wide range of industries delivering complex enterprise-scale information technology solutions to achieve major global business value and objectives. Mr. Piccione excels at driving sustainable business growth through IT modernization, solution development, and global transformation initiatives while building strong partnerships to better leverage technology solutions. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Piccione served as CIO for Ingenuity Advisory Partners, Inc., Complex Care Solutions, Inc., and MagnaCare. Mr. Piccione holds a Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science from Boston University.

    Darrin Kellaris is a senior marketing executive with over 20 years experience specializing in digital marketing, social media, and brand strategy. Mr. Kellaris offers a record of success in creating and driving marketing strategies that strengthen revenue, margins, and market share by elevating brand authenticity and relevance. At InterDent, he leads all aspects of marketing including digital and social media, brand positioning, and performance analytics. Prior to joining InterDent, he led marketing efforts at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and IHOP. Mr. Kellaris holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from San Diego State University.

    Diane Stern brings almost 20 years of dental services organizational experience specializing in organizational design and strategic partnering. Ms. Stern is responsible for Human Resources planning and strategy for recruiting, retention, benefits and performance management. She built her HR leadership experience through roles at Coast Dental, PrimeCo Wireless Communications and LabCorp where she focused on employee programs to increase engagement and satisfaction along with operational efficiencies. Ms. Stern holds a Bachelors degree in English Literature, Education, and Business from the University of Tampa and volunteers at KMR Group Foundation.

    I am new to the area and so grateful that I found Dr. SKOVBERG and the entire team. They've been totally professional and accommodating. Going to the dentist is always a bit stressful, but the team at Gentle Dental does everything possible to show you that they care and that they are very skilled at what they do. By the way, I had a front crown replaced.

    I like that the office is easily accessible via Max. When you get there - head past Macy's entrance, doors to mall on right, enter and you will see Gentle Dental. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

    I had an appointment 2 or 3 months ago (may or june 2022). I was told I would pay one price for a treatment then was billed a different price. It was only a $30 or $40 difference but it was unproffesional. I had a follow up appointment this month (august 2022) for a cleaning and was given a bill for $143 due to an appointment from December of 2021 where my insurance was maxed out. I was upset that with all of the money we are paying for the health care administrators, they couldn't even figure out that I owed money on my previous visit 5 months after the fact. They merely said that I need to take it up with my insurance company. I think that giving someone a bill for services rendered 8 months ago is ridiculous and Gentle Dentle should have eaten the cost. I am not one to complain and rarely do negative reviews but this is well deserved. Regardless I cancelled the appointment I have this month and will find another dental office for my family.

    Dr Katie truly helped me in my time of need. I had a tooth pulled in another city & ended up with a terrible dry socket & Dr Katie got me RIGHT IN & only charged me 50$ for 2 separate visits to address, clean & pack my dry socket !!!! I do not take any form if pain medications so I was truly in dyer pain... & Dr Katie was so kind, caring & helpful I appreciate you Dr Katie. Xo

    Bruce was amazing and so incredibly professional. He spent time and energy to be sure that I could get appointments for my entire family of five before I lose my health benefits at the end of the month. He looked through the schedule, making sure the times did not coincide with my children's school schedule as well. Throughout the day if he found a cancellation he called me back and helped me Get the entire family scheduled before my insurance runs out at the end of the month. 5 star employee with Excelling in kindness and compassion.

    Completely lack heart and empathy for patients struggling they don't care about anything but the bottom line. Save your time and money and find a dentist that have staff and policies that will allow them to actually care about you.

    I was a first time patient today. I wasn't told it was inside the mall when I booked the appointment so it took a bit to find the location. The dentist was nice but once it was time for my teeth cleaning, I waited 30-40 minutes in a chair for the hygienist. Other staff came by 3 different times to apologize for the wait. By the time the hygienist got to me, she was very nice but said she didn't have time for my cleaning because another patient just got in so I'd need to book another appointment. They were overbooked, had me waiting that whole time in a chair, and then said they need to get to another patient that JUST walked in the door? Their best offer was for me to come back in 3 hours. I won't be coming back.

    The male receptionist was curt, rude, and not helpful at all when trying to figure out my insurance information and getting my appointment rescheduled. I've been a patient at this location for several years now, and today's encounter was extremely lacking in patient service. I hope things can improve in this area of their practice!

    Hugh was most welcoming when I arrived & Autumn was awesome with letting me know what to expect with pricing future braces. Actually the whole team was efficient and positive. I like seeing a business where the faces are familiar and there is not a lot of turn over..The greatest asset is your people. I trust Dr Skovborg with my special needs daughter and my own dental health. Thanks a bunch Clackamas Gentle Dental Team!

    I am an extremely nervous and anxious dental patient and I had a broken molar, so I had to go in. A coworker recommended Gentle and they were able to get me in to a time that fit my schedule within a few days of me calling. I admit I was a little anxious and stressed, and, um, firm with regard to getting it fixed that day. They absolutely lived up to the "Gentle" name, and I have a new permanent dentist! They were so kind and understanding of my anxiety, and I was in and out quite quickly considering there were x-rays, tooth prep, molds, and a temporary crown put on. Hardly felt the injection at all, and that's a big one for me! Very nice, very professional, and I actually am looking forward to a cleaning!

    Clackamas Town Center Gentle Dental really came through when I had a crown unexpectedly come off. Even though their schedule was very full (closing the rest of the week for the holidays) they worked me in and I was able to have it repaired within a few hours.     It was actually fairly relaxing going to the dentist at first and as time went on, I looked forward to seeing them. They are caring and the name Genrle Dental fits. I would highly recommend Dr. Skovborg and Maya to any and all of my friends. After going there for a while, they've almost become like family.

    If I could give 1,000 starts I would! I have received the best care all around at this location. I have anxiety and severe dental anxiety. This team is amazing all around. The first time I walked into this location I knew I needed a lot of work. I knew that they weren't going to do anything but an exam that day but I was in tears just filling out the paper work and trembling. The staff immediately did their best to keep me calm and let me know that they wanted to help. Not degrade me, scold me or tell me how bad my teeth were. All of them were very kind and patient with me. I was always kept informed of what's next and how much longer. They literally held my hand when I needed it. Today. . . . My treatment plan was completed What's more, today's final treatment was without anxiety medication. I can not say enough good things about this location's team. Hands down, this is the place to be if you struggle with anxiety. When I first walked in I was in pain, feeling broken and embarrassed. Today I walked out with the staff saying I'm proud of you and I can smile again. We did it!
