The history of our practice started back in the year of 1971 when Dr. Arnold Loew and Dr. Robert Levey decided to become business partners. The practice opened in the same year with Dr. Loew providing quality dental care to many of the patients and families we still provide for today. Endicott native Dr. Mario Silvestri was welcomed into the practice by Dr. Loew in 1990 and shortly after, a partnership was formed between the two doctors. Lifelong local Dr. Ryan Comfort joined Dr. Silvestri in 2010 and eventually became a partner in the Practice. Silvestri & Comfort Family Dentistry ushered the practice into the new millennium with increased technological advances and new ideas. Dr. SIlvestri and Dr. Comfort were pleased to welcome the practices of Dr. Robert Hogan of Binghamton and Dr. Stuart Rouff of Johnson City over the next years. Vestal native Dr. Justin Birdsall was welcomed to the practice in the summer of 2015. It was evident from the beginning that Dr. Birdsall shared our core values and beliefs and could help us write the next chapter of our story. His presence solidifies our future as a premier oral health care center.

Rachel is by far a "1 in a million" dental hygienist and amazing person. You can tell that she is truly passionate and loves what she does by the quality of care that she gives you. She treats you like a person, not a patient, gives you her full undivided attention, truly listens to you, and takes her time with you to make sure you get exactly what you want and need. She goes above and beyond, going out of her way to educate and try to help you, because she truly cares and it shows. Gentle Dental definitely lives up to its name. I HIGHLY recommend going to see Rachel & Dr. Comfort at gentle dental.

Such a welcoming place! Dr. Comfort is incredible and made me feel comfortable and did painless work. Rachel is the best hygienist I've ever had. She's so knowledgeable about the mouth and best practices for brushing and flossing. Highly recommend going to these two!

I had been suffering on and off for about 3 years with a broken and infected tooth. I have gone to countless other providers in the area who I have had nightmare experiences with and was SO hesitant to let anybody work on my mouth despite the pain Ive been in. This practice is phenomenal. From the staff to the dentist I just want to say thank you for the best experience Ive ever had at a dentists office. I had oral surgery and I felt NO pain during the procedure. The practices name well supercedes their acts of kindness and empathy. Will return in the future and for all my other dental needs. If you are like me and are scared THIS is the place to go. You guys ROCK!

I had reservations of going to the dentist since Dr Kamodia retired but Dr Silvestry was kind and compassionate and helped me to feel more comfortable. I would highly recommend this practice.

This place WAS my goto. The new doctor is pretty good too. I sent several customers their way from my business. But RACHEL thinks nobody can see thru her bad attitude. I left feeling sickened. Cant hold a two-way conversation with her, and she gives off the vibes of an underthesurface anger management failure. NO WAY she is working on my mouth. NO WAY she should be working in a SENSITIVITY OFFICE. Cancelled all future appts, calling off anyone I advised to go there.

I am very impressed with the state of the art technology used at my appointment today. The staff is super friendly and seem happy to work together, making for a pleasant atmosphere. Dr. Comfort was very careful to make sure I was comfortable throughout a lengthy procedure. Overall, a great experience!

This place is great! Nice small office, very gentle as the name says. Ryan and Rachel are very professional, knowledgable, and take their time with great care. The front desk ladies are amazing too! If you fear going to the dentist, you will love this place. Take care of your teeth! :D

Gentle Dental is #1 in Dentistry. I went there with a huge problem and Dr. Kamodia fixed it in 3 months. The previous dentist made a mess of my mouth that is why it took as long as it did which was short compared to the other dentist of 5 years for 1 problem. It was unbelievable to me. They are great people; all the Hygienists, Receptionist and Dr. Kamodia himself is the best. I am so glad that I was referred there. I wouldn't go anywhere else ever. As long as they are around, I will be a patient!! If your afraid to go to the Dentist, don't be, go to Dr. Kamodia on the Vestal Parkway in Vestal, NY

I went to Gentle Dental in summer of 2020, and because of the pandemic of the moment, I was a bit nervous about going. However, it was the best dentist visit that I have ever had. My dental hygienist (Rachel) was superb. I have never seen a better tooth cleaning than what she did to me and my smile. Easy to talk to and she offered lots of good advice about how to keep a healthy, happy mouth. Thanks for what ended up being a really positive experience. Thanks also to the exceedingly polite and helpful receptionist at Vestal parkway's Gentle Dental.

After years of avoiding dental care due to bad experiences, I was encouraged by my wife and children to give Gentle Dental a chance. I rarely write reviews, but I have been so impressed with the care I received that I feel compelled to share my experience. Years of avoidance of dental care left me with, more or less, constant pain. Simply eating a meal was anxiety provoking, never knowing what the result would be. Worse, I had forgotten how to smile and laugh naturally due to shame. Over the last year, Gentle Dental has returned my ability to enjoy eating again, without anxiety. Far more importantly, I no longer have to contain a smile or laugh. Anyone else having these problems knows what I mean, it's far more than just dental problems when you have them. My gratitude for their help is beyond what I can capture in a review. Throughout the process, the clinical care has more than met my expectations, and the staff are family centered, kind, and compassionate. My mother Ms. Silvernail, had dental implants done here. Dental implants : (during surgery to place the dental implant, your oral surgeon makes a cut to open your gum and expose the bone. Holes are drilled into the bone where the dental implant metal post will be placed.) Dr. Shalini Kamodia done the procedure on my mother. The post, where NOT place correctly in my mother mouth. Dr Shalini Kamodia, drilled a hole in the two remaining teeth that was left in my mothers mouth. She either super glued or cemented the post to opening in the teeth. The post have came out several times. Each time they either cemented or super glued them to the opening in the drilled out teeth.How do I know this is the FACTS. My mother is now having pay another Dr. to fix this mess. This new dentist said my mothers implants are the worst they have ever seen. The post are to be connected to BONE, not to TEETH. I would NOT recommend this place for implants, my mother paid $6000, for this treatment.
