Thats why we maintain a modern dental office in Tyler, TX, complete with technology and comforts provided with you in mind. Our comforts include pillows, blankets, music and Wi-Fi. And with technology, including intraoral cameras, digital X-rays, soft tissue lasers, paperless charting and dental lasers, including DIAGNOdent, we are able to give you the quality assurance you deserve when it comes to your oral health.
DIAGNOdent uses laser technology to detect weak spots and decay earlier than we could with traditional methods. Anxious patients will be especially interested in our dental lasers, as these can make treatments much less painful and encourage faster healing. For our anxious patients, we offer sedation dentistry as well.
Dr. Keith O. Gerber is from Queen City, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Science from Howard Payne University in 1991 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1993. Dr. Gerber was on the dean's list each semester while at Howard Payne and Baylor. Also in 1993, as a member of the National Society of Dental Practitioners, he received the Law and Ethics Award in Dentistry. Dr. Gerber has been in private practice since 1993 and his current location since 1996.
Dr. Gerber is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Smith County Dental Society, East Texas Dental Society, and Better Business Bureau. He has donated to and volunteered with the Texas Mission of Mercy and the Bethesda Clinic in East Texas.
Dr. Gerber is a twin. He and his high school sweetheart, Dottie, have been married since 1987. They raised their two sons and a daughter on a small farm in Troup, enjoying daily care of various animals. Dr. Gerber enjoys gardening and perfecting his homegrown smoked pepper sauce recipe. He appreciates the blessing of his family and the love and fellowship of his church, as well as the many lifelong relationships he has with friends.
Dr. Zackery R. Simons is from Longview, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. Simons has been with the practice since 2019. Dr. Simons also is certified in Invisalign, bringing more opportunities to our office for our patients.
Dr. Simons and his wonderful wife, Paige, were recently married in 2020. Since then, they have become proud homeowners here in Tyler, TX. In his free time, he loves going outdoors to golf, play tennis, and spend time with his dog, Finn.
Barb retired in 2021 after 20 years as our office manager with Gentle Dental. She is originally from Portsmouth, Ohio (right on the Ohio River) and moved to Tyler area over 30 years ago. She is now spending more time with her six adorable grand-babies. We will miss her around the office, but she is still available for support and training with our office staff which includes our new Office Administrator, Tiffany Nesbitt. With over 70 years combined training and experience, the Gentle Dental team members, alongside Dr. Gerber and Dr. Simons, provide some of the highest level qualified service in the dental field. We are honored to provide personable and caring treatment for all of our patients. And by the way, it 's not by accident that our name says 'Gentle'.

So happy with my experience! Dr. Gerber & staff have been so friendly and helpful! They were able to get me in same day for an exam, ending up getting my cleaning done while there too, called the next morning to schedule the work I needed done and was able to get in that same day! I was able to make a same-day appointment for a wisdom tooth extraction. I was in and out in an hour. The staff was extremely friendly, and Dr. Gerber and Annie were 10/10.

Gentle Dental has a great team and I felt well taken care of! Dr. Simons is fantastic and can take care of any dental concern you may have whether it be cavities, sensitivity concerns, cheek biting, root canals, etc. Great care and great folks!

I cant say enough about the staff. I always have a good experience at Gentle Dental. 10-12-22 Once again, I had a wonderful dental visit. I am treated with respect and kindness from the moment I walk in. My anxiety about the dentist has dropped tremendously since I started going to Gentle Dental last October. Dec 27th 2016 Another great visit! They are all so nice and I am treated so kind. I cannot say enough nice things about the office and staff! Erin is phenomenal! April 15, 2021 Another great experience. The staff are wonderful and have always treated me with respect. I have no anxiety about going to the dentist anymore.

I had a great experience with Gentle Dental. I was having an issue with a tooth and needed to get seen as a new patient. They got me an appointment the same day and I was in and out in less than an hour! Dr. Gerber was very kind and explained things very well. His staff were all very nice and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone!

I have severe anxiety with the dentist and needed extensive work! dr Simmons and his team have been great! They make it not so terrible to come. I don't feel Judged and when I needed a crown made they made a temp that literally looked prettier then my real teeth!

I put off going to the dentist for a while because, well, it's the dentist! A neighbor referred me here and I'm very happy they did because they were super friendly and very professional! They helped me check with my insurance which was so helpful, gave me options for the few cavities I need worked on and we set up a plan of action, and they offer things for high anxiety people like myself and my wife. I don't look forward to the drills but I do look forward to seeing the staff again and know they will take good care of my wife and I!
