Dr. Patti grew up in Williston and graduated from high school there in 1967. She loved mathematics and music, especially the band, and entered the University of Florida as a music major. After her advisor warned that 'girls were not typically band directors', she changed her major to chemistry which was a pivotal decision.

After graduating with a B.S. degree, Dr. Webb taught chemistry and human anatomy at Niceville High School for nine years. While teaching she earned a Master's degree in Botany from UF. In 1978, she was appointed Director of the State Science and Engineering Fair which was held in Niceville. During her high school teaching career, she had numerous students who won awards at the annual fairs, including college scholarships. She also had a Westinghouse Talent Search Winner.

In 1979, Dr. Webb returned to the University of Florida to pursue a Ph.D. degree in plant pathology. After receiving her degree, she joined the Fruit Crops Department faculty and conducted epidemiological research on pathogens of important fruit crops while supported by EPA and USDA grants.

Following her desire to be a more independent scientist, she entered the UF College of Dentistry in 1989 as a freshman dental student. After receiving her D.M.D. degree in 1993, she joined Dr. Stephen Schnell and Gentle Dental Care in Gainesville. In 1994, she purchased the practice from Dr. Schnell who retired. In 2003, she moved Gentle Dental Care to its new expanded facility and upgraded the operatories and installed the latest digital recordkeeping software.

Born in Gainesville, Dr. Jordan attended P.K. Yonge and Oak Hall School before entering Buchholz High School. He graduated from Buchholz in 2003 where he was co-captain of the soccer team and was active in the Entrepreneurial Business Center. He received a Bright Futures scholarship and attended the University of West Florida where he graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-professional Biology. While at West Florida, Dr. Jordan was active in student government and was almost persuaded to enter the field of law. He enrolled in Tufts Univeristy's School of Dental Medicine and graduated in May, 2011.

Jordan's most memorable professional experience while at Tufts was his 2010 summer externship as a visiting dentist at the Winslow (Arizona) Navajo Indian Health Care Center. Working with Indian children of all ages reinforced his proficiency for patience and his attention to the dental needs of his geriatric patients honed his diagnostic and pain management skills.

At his Tufts Graduation ceremony, he received the Academy of Dentistry's annual student award for excellence in dental treatment of Patients with Disabilities. This award was for his dental treatment of victims of domestic violence as well as medically compromised patients.

I've been a client of Gentle Dental Care for several years and have always appreciated the wisdom and work provided by both the Dr. Webb's as well as the support staff. They've always been fair and treated me with respect and made me feel comfortable while I was inside their practice. This review was not solicited from me. It's a pleasure having a dentist that will cut out unnecessary stuff and solve any issues. Thank you all for everything over the years.

I got my very first wisdom tooth at 33 years of age... This tooth was ruining my sanity. I had been calling oral surgeons for over a month, none of which would give me pricing over the phone or schedule my wisdom tooth extraction before September. I felt like I was losing my mind. I was told by one emergency line when I called on a Sunday that since I was able to work through the pain, it must not be a real emergency. I was referred to Gentle Dental by one of their current patients who said "Barbara is direct." At this point, I desperately needed direct help which is exactly what I received. Barbara gave me more information, including prices, in 5 minutes than 4 other offices had in a month. This office got me in the very next day, extracted my wisdom tooth (that was NOT impacted like I'd been told by 3 other offices, including my own dentist), and the prices matched exactly what I was quoted over the phone. Dr. Jordan did an amazing job making sure I felt comfortable during the entire procedure, he talked me through literally everything, and he somehow managed to make a tooth extraction a pleasant experience. He LISTENED to every word I said so I knew I was being heard. And please understand, I was trying not to cry during my entire appointment from the pain and mental exhaustion that I entered with when I arrived that morning. Every single person that I spoke to in this office treated me like a human being, like I mattered, and as if they genuinely cared about my happiness with the medical treatment I was receiving.

Have avoided dentist most of my adult life to the point of severe tooth decay and was getting infections monthly. I called Dr. Jordan at around 7 am on a Saturday and not expecting an answer and was very surprised to get one. He listened to my problem and was very understanding and nonjudgmental. Told me to come in that very same morning. I had tried to make apts at another larger Gainesville practice that told me October. He met me at the office and had his assistant there as well by 9am. My disabling fear and anxiety over being there was terrible but just the friendliness and understanding of both of them made me relax so much. He proceeded to examine and we decided on 8 teeth that needed to come out to stop infections. He went at my pace making sure I was comfortable w what was going on and in no pain. I can't give enough praise for this family of dentists I never thought I would make it through one extraction let alone 8 at once. I can't thank them enough for making me better and taking the time to treat me like a person instead of a payday.

I am new in town and was terrified that something bad/costly was wrong with my bottom right molar. Dr. Webb was patient, reassuring, and incredibly thorough. He conservatively ruled out all possible major issues and sent me home with a prescription for "just in case" antibiotics and an appointment for a free follow-up exam next week to make sure I was improving. Peace of mind is worth much more than I paid for first-rate dental care and customer service. Front office, hygienists, and even the consulting endodontist were top notch and had me feeling relieved and in capable hands. They made a patient for life today. Bravo, Dr. Webb!

The staff at this dental office are beyond amazing. I went in with a erupted wisdom tooth that was growing out wrong and causing me unbearable pain. They squeezed me in at the earliest they could and saw me almost immediately upon arrival. I was extremely nervous and scared but their friendly upbeat attitude put me instantly at ease. The tooth was sitting on a nerve, so they weren't able to pull it. They called around to an oral surgeon for me and got me into that clinic within minutes. I was told to drive right over and they would see me. They didn't charge me for the visit either. I would recommend this dentistry to anyone looking to experience amazing service from a staff that truly cares about their patient's health and wellbeing. These people are truly the best of the best

I don't even know where to begin about this experience. I had a pretty scary infected tooth that a different doctor said needed to be extracted immediately, if possible. I'm talking medical emergency, go to the ER and see what they can do type of situation. The office I was at tried their best to locate someone for me but couldn't. It was almost 5pm on December 29th so we had very little hope. The holidays basically meant that I would have to wait until January 3rd and that just wasn't going to happen. We got in the car, I burst into tears and proceeded to google emergency dentists. Gentle Dental Care came up first and and they had amazing reviews, so on an absolute Hail Mary, I called. When I called I was almost hysterical with fear because of this infection. The person I spoke to on the phone was SO *kind* and light and funny and understanding that she stopped my tears in their tracks, asked the doctor (Dr Jordan Webb) if he'd stay and he said yes. We drove over immediately and I was seen right away. The extraction was painless and took literally seconds. The longest and most uncomfortable part was honestly the anesthetic injections, because it involves a lot of waiting and checking, not even anyone's fault. I hadn't eaten today and when I mentioned that, they had juice (a Capri sun, The good stuff) and a little sugar tablet at the ready for me. I have never had such a great experience, much less a dental experience, much less a dental emergency. We laughed the whole time, chatted and honestly, they really settled my nerves. Not to mention, talked to me like a person and explained everything that was happening as they were doing it, which absolutely makes a huge difference. They even let me keep the X-ray apron on for the anxiety relieving pressure. I can't sing Gentle Dental Care's praises enough. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you guys so much. You probably saved my life :)

Dr. Webb at Gentle Dental is an absolute gem. I have periodontitis, which started as gingivitis as a kid when I didn't take care of my teeth. I continued to fail to care for my teeth and gums and now have a permanent condition; periodontitis. In my adult years my teeth have shifted, and I have extreme pain at least once a year from my teeth. I finally got a job with good dental insurance and chose Gentle Dental due to the name, honestly. In the past I hated dentists and had the worst experience with pain and I didn't feel respected by the dentists or their assistants. But at GENTLE DENTAL, I feel respected and cared for! My teeth have undergone special cleanings multiple times this year, and for the first time recently, I underwent a cleaning without pain. Gentle Dental truly is gentle! Every dentist and assistant I spoke to was very sweet, and they gave me hope for my awful teeth that I haven't had in years. I recommend Gentle dental to anyone, but especially those with periodontitis.

I had such a great experience here! I'm not afraid of the dentist, but I've had bad experiences in the past. Everyone at Gentle Dental was so friendly and encouraging, the receptionist was able to fit me into an appointment quickly because I was having an issue with my tooth that needed extraction. The staff laid out all my options for me, no pressure or scare tactics. The cost was discussed and remained the same with no hidden fees. The staff were so reassuring and friendly, I only want to go here now forever, even though I'm about to move hours away.

For 14 years my entire family went to Tioga Dental. It NEVER felt right! Then, when I read an article that TD was owned by an equity company, I knew it was not a good thing. Equity companies need to hit return requirements. How do they do that? By doing work that is not needed! When I met Dr. Jordan, I instantly knew that he would not try to perform any dental work that was not needed. My wife felt "home" when she first visited Dr. Webb as well. Needless to say....we have found our forever dental home. Thanks Gentle Dental Care! ***This posting is merely my personal opinion***

Lovely employees, great prices. Some of the sweetest, most personable dental professionals I've ever been to. Felt very comfortable in their care and enjoyed the banter of the dentist working with me. I'm extremely happy with the service they provided me and I will be continuing to go to them for the rest of my stay in Gainesville.

Our family has been going to Gentle Dental for several years. After the very first time we went, I knew that this would be our family dentist for life - it is a visit we actually look forward to and I have never once in my life actually looked forward to going to the dentist until we started going there. Our last visit on September 10th was particularly exceptional. This was our 3-year-old daughter's first trip to the dentist and Dr. Webb and the entire staff could not have made her more comfortable. Our 6-year-old built up the whole process to her little sister on the way to the office to let the little one know that there was nothing to be scared of or nervous about. While she was still nervous when we walked in, by the time she got to the chair, she had a big smile on her face and all the confidence she needed to get started. Nancy was her hygienist and could not have been a more perfect person to introduce her to the dentist chair - she was kind and patient beyond description. Between her and and my hygienist, Heather, they worked in tandem to make sure she had the best experience possible. On the way home that day, both of my daughters were almost giddy about the appointment and talked about looking forward to the next time we have an appointment there. To me, that says it all. I strongly recommend Gentle Dental to anyone, and especially to families with small children!
