    Roderick Place was named COO of InterDent in 2017 and assumed Co-Leadership as Chief Executive Officer in 2018. Mr. Place has extensive experience transforming private equity backed healthcare companies through his strategic leadership, focus on operational excellence, clinical leadership collaboration, and structuring of field operations and corporate support teams. Mr. Place is also accomplished in leading boards and executive teams through expansive growth in mergers & acquisitions, DeNovo, due diligence and market consolidation. Before joining InterDent, Mr. Place served in executive level operations roles with Western Dental, MedQuest Associates and Alliance Healthcare. Mr. Place is also the Managing Director and Co-Founder of MedSummit Solutions, LLC. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Grand Valley State University.

    Matthew Wickesberg joined InterDent as EVP/CFO in 2016 and assumed Co-Leadership as Executive Vice Chairman two years later. In 2019, he was further elevated to Co-Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wickesberg is an experienced board member, executive officer, and lender with a deep background in multi-site hospitality and healthcare industries. He is also experienced working with lending institutions and private equity firms through structuring capital, due diligence, mergers & acquisitions, and uncovering portfolio synergies. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Wickesberg served in various senior finance roles with HOA Restaurant Group, ZTejas, Inc., and GE Capital. Mr. Wickesberg received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Oklahoma State University and his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

    Dr. Heather Hawkins has committed her career to patient care while understanding current healthcare trends and value-based comprehensive care. Dr. Hawkins has an expansive clinical, academic and operational background, including leading medical-dental integration as well as quality and risk management for multi-site healthcare organizations. After 12 years of practicing general dentistry, she expanded her skills with several key roles in academia. In 2012 she joined the team at Adventist Health in Northern California, a multi-site health care organization with over 5,000 medical and dental staff physicians, as the Director of Quality. In her leadership role there, Dr. Hawkins led expansion and integration across the health system with medical and dental clinic management and an emphasis on comprehensive care models addressing patient risk factors, active disease and preventative measures. Dr. Hawkins earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and her Advanced Education in General Dentistry Certification from Virginia Commonwealth University.

    Dr. Manu Chaudhry has dedicated his career in the pursuit of dental health care, improving clinical quality and access to care, and transforming delivery of care to improve overall health outcomes. He is a dynamic and mission-driven leader with extensive leadership experience over multi-region dental practices, and has also founded multiple collaborative organizations that reduce oral and overall health disparities. Dr. Chaudhry is a board member of Healthier Kids Foundation and holds a Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of the Pacific.

    Sandra Lau is a seasoned legal adviser with over fourteen years experience acting as General Counsel of multiple dental healthcare corporations. Ms. Laus responsibilities include advising executive management, supporting strategic growth initiatives, overseeing all aspects of the corporate legal function including HIPAA, state and federal regulatory compliance, corporate transactions and governance, mergers and acquisitions, and risk and litigation management. Before Joining InterDent, Ms. Lau served as General Counsel at Western Dental. Ms. Lau holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Juris Doctor from Loyola Marymount University.

    Bernard Piccione has extensive experience across a wide range of industries delivering complex enterprise-scale information technology solutions to achieve major global business value and objectives. Mr. Piccione excels at driving sustainable business growth through IT modernization, solution development, and global transformation initiatives while building strong partnerships to better leverage technology solutions. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Piccione served as CIO for Ingenuity Advisory Partners, Inc., Complex Care Solutions, Inc., and MagnaCare. Mr. Piccione holds a Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science from Boston University.

    Darrin Kellaris is a senior marketing executive with over 20 years experience specializing in digital marketing, social media, and brand strategy. Mr. Kellaris offers a record of success in creating and driving marketing strategies that strengthen revenue, margins, and market share by elevating brand authenticity and relevance. At InterDent, he leads all aspects of marketing including digital and social media, brand positioning, and performance analytics. Prior to joining InterDent, he led marketing efforts at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and IHOP. Mr. Kellaris holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from San Diego State University.

    Diane Stern brings almost 20 years of dental services organizational experience specializing in organizational design and strategic partnering. Ms. Stern is responsible for Human Resources planning and strategy for recruiting, retention, benefits and performance management. She built her HR leadership experience through roles at Coast Dental, PrimeCo Wireless Communications and LabCorp where she focused on employee programs to increase engagement and satisfaction along with operational efficiencies. Ms. Stern holds a Bachelors degree in English Literature, Education, and Business from the University of Tampa and volunteers at KMR Group Foundation.

    They were very friendly. Made my fears disappear. I have so many medical issues and they took care of them. In the past I wouldn't go back but I am looking forward to having my dental issues taken care of. They are "in network" and I don't have to look around for a dentist for oral surgeon they are right there.....they are gentle dentist

    This is the worst dental experience I have. The dentist worked on the wrong teeth and the crown came off in 2 years. Never come to this office

    I'll break it down step by step give you my detailed experience with Gentle Dental. My first had a appointment with Gentle Dental 8:30 a.m. I arrived from my appointment about 10 minutes early they got me started with all my paperwork and I want to say it did not smell like the typical smell of a dental office which we all know is horrible it smelled like a regular office. I forgot my glasses for reading and then manager Kristen came out and help me with all the paperwork and basically read me everything because I didn't have the proper glasses to do so which I thought was very very nice So I went in for my appointment and let me tell you it was very very professional they were wiping down all the seats and all the things sterilizing everything the assistant was very nice and when it came time I had several teeth pulled and let me tell you I was very very pleased with the doctor that did all the dentist work Mrs Valderrama she had a great attitude and a really cool sense of humor and she made the experience very easy I was very scared going into this not knowing what to expect as I have never had teeth pulled before Let me tell you this place is a great dentist office all the way around I'm a very critical person and I really don't have one thing negative to say about it from start to finish they were very good if I couldn't reach someone on the phone when I called they did get back to me in a timely manner every time. All the questions that I did have and there were many they would always put me on hold and get the doctor involved and ask her personally instead of just giving me a quick answer they're very thorough they're very attentive and they do their best to make everybody happy in a really do care about their clients they have lots of empathy for your situation and I appreciate that. I was a little concerned that the oral surgery in the bone grafts were healing correctly so I called them up and voice my concerns they got me right in and did a check up on it at no charge and said everything was okay and that eased my mind totally. I set an appointment for the third time I went in there and we thought we might have to pull another tooth and upon talking to the dentist Mrs Valderrama we came up with a new plan of action and we decided to hold off and there are very accommodating and let me tell you these people care about their customers all the negative feedbacks that are here I really can't fathom how anybody couldn't be happy with the services of every single employee in this place they're all very professional and I couldn't be more pleased so if you want a great dentist look no further go to Gentle Dental.

    Horrible service! Have we lacked on customer service during the pandemic? Called on 01/13 for an initial app. which was scheduled for Feb 3rd through "Kristen". On Feb 3rd, spoke with "Kristen" and they did not document the scheduling correctly therefore we had to restart the process all over again. We then rescheduled for 2/8. On 2/8 Wife walked in and was rescheduled for April. This is nutts. Did I mention my wife is pregnant and her tooth is infected? She's in pain and none of these rescheduling is helping her in her situation! Step up your customer service!!!!

    This is one of the best dental offices I have been to! Front desk ladies are very nice and the back office staff is very nice. Dr. Valderama is awesome! She explains thing's fully, and never rushes you.

    Amazing they took extra good care of my pregnant fiance they got here in there sooner than later as soon as they had an appointment canceled they put her at the top of the list on top of that they are very nice My fiance has had traumatizing experience with dentists before and this one made her feel nice and secure she's absolutely ecstatic to go back thank you so much for taking such great care of my pregnant fiance I would highly recommend going here!!

    By far the worst receptionist in the industry, while sitting around in the waiting room the lady just gossips about clients and bad mouths them. I understand now why this receptionist is very rude and unprofessional if you don't like your job at don't do it. Managaement needs to do something about this our whole experience with this office is horrible th information is not being forwarded correctly and the urgency of patient needs is not top priority. I will be furthering complaints to the top of the company this is very disturbing. Zero stars

    I had my first experience with Gentle Dental and I was very pleased. It started with the front desk Office Assistants Theresa and Christian who were professional, kind and acknowledged me and other patients as soon as we walked through the door. I went in to meet Dr. Clarinda's Assistant who cared about my wellbeing by making sure I was comfortable. Dr. Clarinda is an exceptional Dentist who explained everything to me in detail making sure to refer me to the proper Dr's. Just when I thought the visit could not get any better Dr Clarinda went to the Orthodontist, Dr. Moreno who came in and thoroughly assessed my situation without an appointment and gave me good advice regarding clenching. I immediately made my next appointment with him in which there was an opening the next hour. Dr.Moreno's Assistant was quick and professional. If you are looking for the best dental office that serves all your dental needs chose Gentle Dental in Brentwood.

    My experience started out pretty good with Gentle Dental. Dr. Clarinda was great and made me feel comfortable. She Was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable when explaining what I was going to have done on my next visit. I had fillings done 2 weeks ago, after my procedure Dr. Clarinda said give it a few days and the soreness should go away. Well that was a big fat lie because I gave it well over "a few days" and I've been in pain every single day since. I have been taking ibuprofen around the clock every single day:( I had ZERO pain prior to my procedure. Finally I got to the point where I thought to myself that something just isn't right. So I call the office. It took 2 days for me to get ahold of someone to speak to. I left voicemails on then Brentwood office and "emergency after hours" line. No call back. So I call again the next day. I had the joy of speaking to a woman named "Kristin" who stated she was the office manager. She seemed like she was in a big huge hurry and was extremely rude from the start. She made me feel like she could care less about the issue that I am having that was caused by her dental office. She then told me that the soonest I could be seen is in one week because the Dr is out of town. To me, that's not acceptable. For a patient to be in pain the way I am and the only thing she says is I have to wait a week?! I told her that there's no way I could do that. The pain is unbearable and asked if there was any other option and if not I'll just go to an emergency dentist and forward them the bill since this was caused by them, she laughed and said "go ahead and try but that's called insurance fraud and we'd definitely sue you for that" HOW IS THIS WOMAN IN CUSTOMER SERVICE?! Look, all I want is for this damn mouth pain to go away. And for the Dental Office where I got the work done to MAKE THIS RIGHT. Please don't go here, if you want a Dental Office where the WHOLE staff truly does care about their patients, then do NOT go here. Nobody should ever get treated the way I did by this very rude individual. Needless to say I'm STILL in pain, I go to a different dentist tomorrow to fix whatever it is that Dr Clarinda did to my mouth.

    Very rude front desk. First visits were a good experience but last couple of visits the lady in the front has had a really bad attitude. I'm very disappointed at this dentist office. Not gentle at all.

    I had a wonderful experience. From first entering the building the receptionist was kind and helpful. Then onto the dental chair the dentist and RDA were gentle, kind and not in a rush to get me out. I only wish they could do the root canal I need. I will definitely be back. Thank you ladies!

    Gentle Dental Brentwood is hands down the best dental office I have ever had! Not only are they professional, they do an amazing job as well. The care they take in making your experience painless and quick is rarely seen these days. I will never go anywhere else!

    I'm a first time user and happy of my choice. I made an appointment just to have my teeth cleaned but they needed to perform an exam first. This meant two appointments need to be made. I went to my appointment for the exam but had to wait Almost an hour because a family of four came in right before me that had the same appointment time. Rather than have me come back to my second cleaning appointment they cleaned me on the spot. Staff was very professional yet lighthearted which I admire.

    I LOVEEEE THIS PLACE!!!! they have always been super kind and willing to go above and beyond for all of my needs. They make you feel comfortable and work with you at every turn. I live 40 mins away but worth the drive!!
