    Roderick Place was named COO of InterDent in 2017 and assumed Co-Leadership as Chief Executive Officer in 2018. Mr. Place has extensive experience transforming private equity backed healthcare companies through his strategic leadership, focus on operational excellence, clinical leadership collaboration, and structuring of field operations and corporate support teams. Mr. Place is also accomplished in leading boards and executive teams through expansive growth in mergers & acquisitions, DeNovo, due diligence and market consolidation. Before joining InterDent, Mr. Place served in executive level operations roles with Western Dental, MedQuest Associates and Alliance Healthcare. Mr. Place is also the Managing Director and Co-Founder of MedSummit Solutions, LLC. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Grand Valley State University.

    Matthew Wickesberg joined InterDent as EVP/CFO in 2016 and assumed Co-Leadership as Executive Vice Chairman two years later. In 2019, he was further elevated to Co-Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wickesberg is an experienced board member, executive officer, and lender with a deep background in multi-site hospitality and healthcare industries. He is also experienced working with lending institutions and private equity firms through structuring capital, due diligence, mergers & acquisitions, and uncovering portfolio synergies. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Wickesberg served in various senior finance roles with HOA Restaurant Group, ZTejas, Inc., and GE Capital. Mr. Wickesberg received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Oklahoma State University and his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

    Dr. Heather Hawkins has committed her career to patient care while understanding current healthcare trends and value-based comprehensive care. Dr. Hawkins has an expansive clinical, academic and operational background, including leading medical-dental integration as well as quality and risk management for multi-site healthcare organizations. After 12 years of practicing general dentistry, she expanded her skills with several key roles in academia. In 2012 she joined the team at Adventist Health in Northern California, a multi-site health care organization with over 5,000 medical and dental staff physicians, as the Director of Quality. In her leadership role there, Dr. Hawkins led expansion and integration across the health system with medical and dental clinic management and an emphasis on comprehensive care models addressing patient risk factors, active disease and preventative measures. Dr. Hawkins earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and her Advanced Education in General Dentistry Certification from Virginia Commonwealth University.

    Dr. Manu Chaudhry has dedicated his career in the pursuit of dental health care, improving clinical quality and access to care, and transforming delivery of care to improve overall health outcomes. He is a dynamic and mission-driven leader with extensive leadership experience over multi-region dental practices, and has also founded multiple collaborative organizations that reduce oral and overall health disparities. Dr. Chaudhry is a board member of Healthier Kids Foundation and holds a Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of the Pacific.

    Sandra Lau is a seasoned legal adviser with over fourteen years experience acting as General Counsel of multiple dental healthcare corporations. Ms. Laus responsibilities include advising executive management, supporting strategic growth initiatives, overseeing all aspects of the corporate legal function including HIPAA, state and federal regulatory compliance, corporate transactions and governance, mergers and acquisitions, and risk and litigation management. Before Joining InterDent, Ms. Lau served as General Counsel at Western Dental. Ms. Lau holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Juris Doctor from Loyola Marymount University.

    Bernard Piccione has extensive experience across a wide range of industries delivering complex enterprise-scale information technology solutions to achieve major global business value and objectives. Mr. Piccione excels at driving sustainable business growth through IT modernization, solution development, and global transformation initiatives while building strong partnerships to better leverage technology solutions. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Piccione served as CIO for Ingenuity Advisory Partners, Inc., Complex Care Solutions, Inc., and MagnaCare. Mr. Piccione holds a Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science from Boston University.

    Darrin Kellaris is a senior marketing executive with over 20 years experience specializing in digital marketing, social media, and brand strategy. Mr. Kellaris offers a record of success in creating and driving marketing strategies that strengthen revenue, margins, and market share by elevating brand authenticity and relevance. At InterDent, he leads all aspects of marketing including digital and social media, brand positioning, and performance analytics. Prior to joining InterDent, he led marketing efforts at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and IHOP. Mr. Kellaris holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from San Diego State University.

    Diane Stern brings almost 20 years of dental services organizational experience specializing in organizational design and strategic partnering. Ms. Stern is responsible for Human Resources planning and strategy for recruiting, retention, benefits and performance management. She built her HR leadership experience through roles at Coast Dental, PrimeCo Wireless Communications and LabCorp where she focused on employee programs to increase engagement and satisfaction along with operational efficiencies. Ms. Stern holds a Bachelors degree in English Literature, Education, and Business from the University of Tampa and volunteers at KMR Group Foundation.

    Former patient. Worst dentist I've ever visited. They push and try and sell services not needed (verified by 3 different dentists). Now almost a year later they continue to try and bill me for services I never received. Would not recommend.

    Took my elderly,disabled mom to the Bothell Gental Dental, for oral surgery. The surgeon and staff were beyong amazing! Wonderful experience!

    I am 68 yrs old and I have been very afraid to go to the dentist. All my previous visits to various dental offices have been nightmares. I have not been treated with any kindness or understanding for many years, consequently I stopped going. Dr. Chen, and I truly hope I've his name correct, at Gentle Dental in Bothell has done a fabulous job of alleviating my fears, besides being careful, kind and meticulous at not hurting me. I think for a lot of people going to the dentist is all about pain. Not here..the staff understands your discomfort, and are warm and friendly...and Dr Chen does his level best to keep you out of pain and for that I am most grateful. And, I am slowly getting over my past dental PTSD. And, even more important, I'm actually looking forward to getting a new smile My thanks to Dr. Chen, and the rest of the Crew at Bothell dental gentle.

    I called on the phone to resolve an insurance issue. The Store Manager, Christina, was giving us the impression that she did not want to help us resolve the issue, her "girls" were too busy. Which I get, but she could've said "we can look at it and give you a call back." She didn't even say that, she just kept escalating the conversation, to the point where she was talking over us, trying not to hear what we were saying and eventually hanging up on us. I'm still in shock. She's a manager, her job is to help solve problems. She didn't do that today. Please do better with your customer service, Gentle Dental in Bothell.

    I called the office and asked to speak with the manager regarding questions I had prior to going in for an appointment. Christina was super helpful and friendly. She explained things without talking down to me or making me feel stupid. My family will definitely be going here for our dental care.

    WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. The manager, Christina takes out her frustration on customers. Please consider hiring someone who understands and can handle being in customer service and the work that comes with it. Bad day or not, learn how to talk to people with respect. The disrespect my mom and sister received today was unacceptable. DO BETTER.

    I have been going to this gentle dental for many years, the service was good overall. However, the recent dentist (2021) they have is really questionable. I had done a filling but it fell off, but he told me that had done any filling with them. He told me that they might have lost the records. He managed to convince me to do the filling for the same tooth again. But it again fell off after a week. He then told me that the gap is new, it was not the tooth he did filling on! I've never blamed them for the fallen filling, but it really hurts to be treated like a fool. I am not going back ever again.

    I switched to gentle dental and had only a few visits before things went completely off the rails. My care plan was completely messed up, and then when a solution was reached with a district manager no one at any office is aware of the solution. I cannot get ahold of that district manager and am frequently told that what was agreed to they can't do without talking to the district manager. In addition I have had to call multiple times per week and am constantly told that I will receive a call back but never hear back, and the dentist last time I went in told me that he needed to wait until the front office told him he could provide next to steps in my care. The dental care is not terrible, but the processes and procedures are a mess. Tress(? Spelling ?) Told me that I was going to have some items waived, but no one is able to confirm. This was a discussed with Dr. Chen and Tress, but not put in my file. Since then I have struggled to deal with Christine who has told me that she cannot waive anything, even though it should have already been waived. When calling the corporate customer service line I get disconnected as soon as I choose an option to talk to someone. I would like to hear back from someone as soon as possible.

    i was in incredible pain, but they did as i requested, fixed me, and in short time the pain subsided. (my fault for allowing it to go so long) I cannot thank them enough they earned a customer for LIFE... thank you Thank You THANK YOU!!! (with tears of pleasure flowing rather than any tears of pain while writing this.)

    It's called gentle dental, but they are not gentle at all. I just had terrible experience with my teeth cleaning here. The dentist was like in a hurry, very impatient, he only wats to get his job done quickly. It was rude to me, my gums bleed while he was cleaning, and really hurt, I told him, and guess what, he told the nurse to give me numbing gel.... Yeah I was numb and couldn't feel the pain... I don't know what I paid for, my teeth care? Not a torture right....just feel like they don't care about patients at all, they only care about money. Better ask your insurance company for billing, they once overcharged me without telling me. I called my insurance for double check and got my balance back for my last visit....so disappointed at this place and I don't recommend it..

    They have always been nice and made sure I was comfortable. My teeth were in bad shape when I first came in a few years ago, but they were so nice about it and worked with me to get them all fixed up. Every procedure came out great! I wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

    They never smiled at their patients and were extremely impatient with my attitude. All they want is your money but never care about their patients. Got charge for a bunch of examination and they can't provide you an overall treatment plan approximate before the treatment. I have no idea how much I need to pay at all.

    Lesson learnt - Don't book appointments for a Monday as they will charge you a $30 fee for cancelling if you need to. Weekends it goes to voicemail and they pretty much won't check it nor will they respond to calls. Was told that if appointment is on Monday , cancelation needs to be done by Thursday. No empathy by the front desk to waive any fee either especially with a pandemic going on and unpredictable schedules. Won't be going back Also no wonder so many frustrated 1 star reviews around here.

    I really appreciate the service I always recieve at Gentle Dental Bothell. Everyone from the front staff to my dental assistant and to my dentist Dr. Tsen. Thank you for making my trips to the dentist gentle and easy!! Shout out today too to my dental assistant Enerieth!! One thing to note is that I'm bummed that this type of service is not found across the Gentle Dental family. My orthodontic home is with Gentle Dental Lynnwood and I wish I could move my orthodontic home to Bothell. I find my orthodontic experience to not be as gentle and even found my initial fitting appointment traumatic -- I felt that the orthodontic assistants are not as aware that there is a person they are working on. Thank you gentle Dental Bothell...I actually look forward to seeing you to ensure I get my teeth taken care of.

    I went to Gentle Dental Of Bothell and Service is Excellent. I took my Mom she needed an emergency with her teeth and they gave us an Appt the same day One of the nurses her name is Brenda was a Great nurse making my mom feel very confortable and she's very friendly. I highly recommend this dental clinic 5 stars all the way!!!!!! Thank you!! Gentle Dental for you Great Service!
