    Roderick Place was named COO of InterDent in 2017 and assumed Co-Leadership as Chief Executive Officer in 2018. Mr. Place has extensive experience transforming private equity backed healthcare companies through his strategic leadership, focus on operational excellence, clinical leadership collaboration, and structuring of field operations and corporate support teams. Mr. Place is also accomplished in leading boards and executive teams through expansive growth in mergers & acquisitions, DeNovo, due diligence and market consolidation. Before joining InterDent, Mr. Place served in executive level operations roles with Western Dental, MedQuest Associates and Alliance Healthcare. Mr. Place is also the Managing Director and Co-Founder of MedSummit Solutions, LLC. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Grand Valley State University.

    Matthew Wickesberg joined InterDent as EVP/CFO in 2016 and assumed Co-Leadership as Executive Vice Chairman two years later. In 2019, he was further elevated to Co-Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wickesberg is an experienced board member, executive officer, and lender with a deep background in multi-site hospitality and healthcare industries. He is also experienced working with lending institutions and private equity firms through structuring capital, due diligence, mergers & acquisitions, and uncovering portfolio synergies. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Wickesberg served in various senior finance roles with HOA Restaurant Group, ZTejas, Inc., and GE Capital. Mr. Wickesberg received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Oklahoma State University and his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

    Dr. Heather Hawkins has committed her career to patient care while understanding current healthcare trends and value-based comprehensive care. Dr. Hawkins has an expansive clinical, academic and operational background, including leading medical-dental integration as well as quality and risk management for multi-site healthcare organizations. After 12 years of practicing general dentistry, she expanded her skills with several key roles in academia. In 2012 she joined the team at Adventist Health in Northern California, a multi-site health care organization with over 5,000 medical and dental staff physicians, as the Director of Quality. In her leadership role there, Dr. Hawkins led expansion and integration across the health system with medical and dental clinic management and an emphasis on comprehensive care models addressing patient risk factors, active disease and preventative measures. Dr. Hawkins earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and her Advanced Education in General Dentistry Certification from Virginia Commonwealth University.

    Dr. Manu Chaudhry has dedicated his career in the pursuit of dental health care, improving clinical quality and access to care, and transforming delivery of care to improve overall health outcomes. He is a dynamic and mission-driven leader with extensive leadership experience over multi-region dental practices, and has also founded multiple collaborative organizations that reduce oral and overall health disparities. Dr. Chaudhry is a board member of Healthier Kids Foundation and holds a Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of the Pacific.

    Sandra Lau is a seasoned legal adviser with over fourteen years experience acting as General Counsel of multiple dental healthcare corporations. Ms. Laus responsibilities include advising executive management, supporting strategic growth initiatives, overseeing all aspects of the corporate legal function including HIPAA, state and federal regulatory compliance, corporate transactions and governance, mergers and acquisitions, and risk and litigation management. Before Joining InterDent, Ms. Lau served as General Counsel at Western Dental. Ms. Lau holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Juris Doctor from Loyola Marymount University.

    Bernard Piccione has extensive experience across a wide range of industries delivering complex enterprise-scale information technology solutions to achieve major global business value and objectives. Mr. Piccione excels at driving sustainable business growth through IT modernization, solution development, and global transformation initiatives while building strong partnerships to better leverage technology solutions. Prior to joining InterDent, Mr. Piccione served as CIO for Ingenuity Advisory Partners, Inc., Complex Care Solutions, Inc., and MagnaCare. Mr. Piccione holds a Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science from Boston University.

    Darrin Kellaris is a senior marketing executive with over 20 years experience specializing in digital marketing, social media, and brand strategy. Mr. Kellaris offers a record of success in creating and driving marketing strategies that strengthen revenue, margins, and market share by elevating brand authenticity and relevance. At InterDent, he leads all aspects of marketing including digital and social media, brand positioning, and performance analytics. Prior to joining InterDent, he led marketing efforts at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and IHOP. Mr. Kellaris holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from San Diego State University.

    Diane Stern brings almost 20 years of dental services organizational experience specializing in organizational design and strategic partnering. Ms. Stern is responsible for Human Resources planning and strategy for recruiting, retention, benefits and performance management. She built her HR leadership experience through roles at Coast Dental, PrimeCo Wireless Communications and LabCorp where she focused on employee programs to increase engagement and satisfaction along with operational efficiencies. Ms. Stern holds a Bachelors degree in English Literature, Education, and Business from the University of Tampa and volunteers at KMR Group Foundation.

    Fifty plus years, and I finally found a Dentist I like. Everyone at GD has always treated me respectfully, and they have gone out of their way to be accommodating. They don't give you a hard time, but instead are encouraging, and positive. I'm fortunate to have found them, and would definitely recommend them.

    I've been going to this Gentle Dental for 3 years. If you have OHP it's a good option. The staff are sweet, especially Samantha and I've had a great experience with dr Montgomery and dr Matthew's who have always been kind and thorough.

    Back in April (2022), as I was standing up to leave my appointment, I stood up into a poorly placed piece of machinery and hit my head. I immediately felt very dazed and a dental assistant helped me find my way out and asked if I needed to sit down. I sat in my car for a while, feeling very out of it. Later that day I called and let them know that I got a concussion (confirmed by an urgent care) and could not return for my same-day cleaning (they don't schedule exams and cleanings at the same time for some reason). The person put me on hold for a long time, then did not acknowledge the concussion and said she'd cancel my appointment. I will not be returning here. I hope they made changes to ensure this never happens again. I am still dealing with post concussion syndrome from this concussion 6 months later. Edit: I stopped by today to grab X-rays and the manager said that neither the dental assistant nor the receptionist had brought this to her attention when this happened, and was overall very dismissive. I told her that I'm still in neuro PT rehab for this and she said, "I'm glad to see you're feeling better," which is probably the most insensitive thing she could have said.

    We were quoted for procedures and the office sent the wrong billing code to our insurance. I asked the manager to please review the bill (this was back in April) here we are the end October and still no answers. The front desk staff were super friendly but the manager was rude the last time I talked to her. Needless to say she still has not called us back about our bill. I have left 3 voicemails with cooperate and nothing back there too. Super frustrating I just want this bill figured out.

    Manger is a Joke very Rude and won't admit there are huge issues First I called with horrible tooth pain was told I could come get the tooth fixed. Show up for them to bill me 300 and then I'm told I can get it pulled in 3 weeks. My daughter was next orthodontic called them 3 times with no response wife called twice and Finally drove down telling them the orthodontic DR needed a tooth fixed so we could proceed. They say yes we had a cancelation today. Guess what they again didn't fix it and scheduled her for another month out. My wife was last. She has horrible dental anxiety spoke to the ladies up front and was told she could get her tooth pulled. She said ok I'm going to call my doctor to get anxiety medicine for the procedure. She got her medication and just called this morning to see if they had time to do another tooth as well since she was going to be on the medication. Just to find out that again they had no plans to fix this tooth. She would have shown up on the medication and taken it for no reason because the front staff told her she was getting a tooth pulled that day. I will say the DR and front staff were very nice just not scheduling things correctly. And the Manger is beyond Rude.

    First off everybody has their own opinions!! I think it's funny how someone's bad experience ends up being a novel I have had nothing but good experiences. Starting with Sam at the front desk very professional lots of energy you need that dealing with the public. Dr Webster and Bailey were amazing I have dental fears and high anxiety of needles in my mouth. Bailey comforted me the whole way through Dr Webster is amazing I did not feel anything!!! I think he needs to teach other dentists his secrets because I will no longer have fear of dental work again. Bailey was very thorough on aftercare she made me feel welcome to call if I had any more questions or concerns. On my way out I got to meet the manager Tracy all I can say is your doing something right. You have an amazing staff.

    Best dental office. Hygienist are always very gentle, very articulate, and thorough! The dentist's have been doing an excellent job with my teeth for the past five years. C.J. had gone above and beyond to help me with an insurance claim issue in getting it resolved. Front desk staff is always friendly and helpful! I highly recommend Gentle Dental.

    My family and I have dealt with several issues over the years and the last few months they have gotten worse. Definitely go someplace that values you as a customer the dentist and the staff were nice the manager is very rude

    Apparently the manager thinks it's OK for the front desk to tell customers over and over again that they will have a tooth extraction and when they order medication and plan to show up on the medication they don't plan to follow through on your appointment. Because it was scheduled wrong If the front desk isn't sure on what needs to be done they shouldn't be saying that they can extract your tooth. And the manager should learn proper customer service when the customer is the one paying.

    I had an appointment scheduled, but I cancelled it because I found out this is the dental office that pulled the wrong tooth from my sister-in-law's mouth. Not only is that an egregious mistake to make, but they've done nothing to rectify the issue with her. She's on her own to get an implant (and actually get her wisdom tooth removed).

    I have been bringing my son in for appointments. All staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They walk through each step and make sure he is comfortable with all steps. The receptionists are always friendly and accommodating, even though having to deal with sometimes tough clients. Thank you for all your hard work!!!!

    I was extremely happy with my new dentist Dr. Montgomery, my previous dentist had moved away. Dr. Montgomery was very thorough, explained everything, did not rush through the appointment and was very conservative with treatment unlike other dentists I've seen in the past.

    Every time I've had to chat on the phone or interact with a receptionist they have been nothing but rude. Treatment at the office is some of the worst I've experienced. Will not be returning.

    We were taken aback by how easy the process was to get our daughter into much needed braces. Tracy gave us several options to make payments that will fit into our chaotic lives without a major impact on our finances. Great staff and a great environment made our entire experience easy and stress free.

    The girl in the front was very helpful and clear with the paperwork. She was also extremely nice and handled a lady who was being a complete b* about something that was her own fault like a pro. The girl who took my x-rays was very patient with my jaw problems and gave me her tooth cleaning appointment. Which is awesome since I haven't had them cleaned in about 4 years

    My daughter had an appointment that had been booked for 3+ months. We show up at 8am on the day it was scheduled only to find out they canceled our appt. because I didn't receive a voice-mail to call them back to confirm I still wanted the appt. If I don't call to cancel then I still want the appt! And the lady at the desk was rude. Will not be ever going to Gentle Dentle. 2.9 rating? I'm not the only one it seems. Horrible customer service.
