4 weeks ago I hurt my tooth biting on hard food. Went to gentle dental Belmont . Dr. Lilia Cucera took an x ray and declared that I need a root canal. Scheduled for following week- she gave me some injections that made me scream out in pain. The tooth was not numbed at all and she wanted to go ahead with root canal. They also charged me $1915 on my card before I even sat in the chair. I told her she can't do root canal because my tooth is not anesthetized . I was told by her assistant that "I should come back when I calmed down". I went straight to an endodontist who took a CT and said this tooth is fractured and can't have a root canal. Scheduled extraction with an oral surgeon who took another CT and confirmed this that the tooth has to be extracted which he did. Painless injection and extraction. Now tell Me how a dentist like Dr Cucera wanted to do root canal on a fractured tooth without doing a CT which they do not have at their office. She just wanted my payment and do a procedure that was wrong. It also took me a week of unreturned phone calls and making a scene to get a Refund on my $1915 payment. Shady business and incompetent dentist.

I took advantage of the introductory x-ray/ cleaning option since I didn't have a dentist in MA. I was very happy with my experience there. Very friendly, capable staff. Loved the dentist. Thought the charge for re-gluing my partial was a bit high, but otherwise it was a ten. I will return.

I usually don't leave negative reviews unless I have been absolutely disappointed, which is why I decided to leave this location a review. I had booked an appointment for wisdom tooth extraction and took a day off from work for the procedure. I had done a consultation at their Brighton location and had all the x-rays and notes from my oral surgeon, but couldn't get into their schedule and therefore chose this Belmont location. At the time I had booked the appointment in Belmont, I shared the exact procedure code which I required and informed them about my previous consultation in Brighton. When I went to check-in for my appointment, they told me they won't be able to do my procedure because my appointment was with a periodontist and that I would need an oral surgeon. They did not even see me for the scheduled consultation. What I don't understand is, why did they wait until I checked in for the appointment to let me know I needed to see a different specialist? I wasted 2 weeks waiting for this appointment and now I'm too late to get into a doctor's schedule in August. I trust my dental provider to have the right information, and it was clear that they did not even look at my past notes to determine the right service I required and did not ask me the right questions at the time I made the appointment. I regret going to this location and this caused me a lot of inconvenience because I took a day off from work and drove 40 minutes to get to this location. I've been going to their Brighton location for over 5 years and I've loved my experience there, and I will not be returning to this Belmont location again.

New patient here and highly satisfied with the service. Dr. Salih and hygienist Kalpora were experts in repairing a faulty filling (from another dentist). Dr. Salih spent time explaining the issue and answering my other questions. I will be back for regular cleanings from here on out.

I needed an emergency appointment for a painful root canal issue. Dr Cucerov and her very able assistant Kalfara to the rescue. Dr C quickly assessed the problem, explained the procedure and after considerable work, I left the office pain free. I appreciated Gentle Dental Belmont for giving me a last minute appointment and the kind, professional and efficient care.

I've used the location for ~3 yrs now. I've both regular cleanings and a full root canal there. In all cases they did an extremely professional job, were very caring and friendly and create a clean, happy environment for the patient. I will keep using their services for many years.
