Gentle Care Dentistry is a private practice in Las Cruces, New Mexico that has been providing outstanding dental care to patients in the area for over 30 years. Our dentists have more than 50 years of combined dentistry experience and are committed to delivering compassionate, personalized, and friendly services to patients of all ages.
Dr. Marketto grew up in Las Cruces and met his lovely wife, Marissa, while attending Creighton University. He and Marissa are the proud parents of their young son Max and daughter Lucy. They love spending time with their family and friends and enjoy riding their bikes and hiking the trails of the beautiful Organ Mountains.
A lifelong resident of New Mexico, Dr. Milavec grew up in Silver City. He enjoys hunting and the outdoors. He also enjoys spending time with his wife Jayne and his kids, including watching his daughter play for the NMSU soccer team.
Dr. Drew Marketto loves spending time with his beautiful wife Jen, also a Las Cruces native. They enjoy spending time with their two fur babies and rooting for the Aggie basketball team. In his free time, Dr. Drew enjoys shooting competitively in the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) and 3-gun competitions and also enjoys hunting and fishing.
All of our dentists received exceptional training at Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska, one of the top private dental institutions in the country. Creighton University reinforces the value of diverse clinical experiences and righteous living to allow students to excel in dentistry as well as their community. By utilizing state-of-the-art equipment throughout the dental program, our team received comprehensive knowledge and firsthand experience that prepared them for servicing the Las Cruces area and beyond. Our well-trained and experienced dentists strive to maintain the same conservative approach and philosophy at Gentle Care Dentistry. Dr. Thomas, Dr. Marketto, Dr. Milavec, and Dr. Drew are proud members of the American Dental Association and the New Mexico Dental Association.

We accept most traditional insurance plans, contact our office to verify acceptance of your plan. Gentle Care Dentistry is in-network for Delta Dental and United Concordia. We will be happy to file your insurance claims for you. We accept checks, cash, or credit cards. We also offer a flexible payment plan. Please see our Financial Coordinator for details. We are happy to file insurance for your reimbursement as long as you are free to choose your own dentist.

The staff are super friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel as comfortable as possible. Dr. Marquetta has impeccable bedside manner and explained the process as he was doing the work, which I like. His assistant Diana also deserves kudos for making this a positive experience for me. It was my first visit, and was so impressed, my husband cancelled his appointment with his dentist and made an appointment with Gentle Care.

From the scheduling, to the arrival to the treatment.....everything was 100% easy, perfect and amazing. Devin was my hygienist and she was phenomenal! Dr. Drew Marketto was so nice and knowledgeable. Will refer everyone I know!!!

Gentle Dental has been nice and genuinely caring. When I needed to have an appointment for a tooth acting up, they made a point of getting me in and seen. They gave me options (lots of them) and no pressure. I'm an older person and I've seen good doctors and bad ones. These guys are the best of the best. I couldn't be more pleased.

A little bit spa, a little bit comedy central (my sensational hygienist, Cher! Believe it or not, I could laugh with my mouth open), and a big part genuine patient care. State of the art equipment, professionalism and integrity. The entire office staff exuded an air of care and kindness. Both my husband and I are still in a state of awe! Our highest recommendation.

I have always hated going to the dentist, just like many people in the world, so of course when I came to their office I was nervous. The front desk staff was so friendly and welcoming right from the beginning so that was a good start. The dental assistant came to get me for my appointment and she was also very friendly and showed me around the building. They have several complimentary items they offer you when you are in the room to make you as comfortable as possible. The dental assistant took a lot of time to explain everything they were doing and seeing (which was extremely nice). Other dental offices I have gone to clean my teeth and send me on my merry way. It was so nice to have someone explain where I was doing a good job cleaning my teeth and where I was lacking. The dentist came in shortly after to take a look at my X-rays and get my history. He was so kind and didn't seem rushed to get the the next patient. I was truly very impressed with this dental office and am looking forward to my next appointment!

From the moment I walked in the door at Gentle Care Dentistry, everyone was so kind and welcoming. The environment of the office was calm and very clean. Dr. Drew Marketto explained my dental care in a way that I could understand. He was very understanding and non-judgemental. He put all of my nervousness at ease. Gentle Care Dentistry is the absolute best dental place I have ever been to in my 65 years of life. I am retired from the U.S. Navy and have been to many dental clinics. Each staff member is an absolute and genuine professional. The upmost in care with attention to detail and patient care and comfort. Each year they offer free services to any military veteran. For some veterans, this is the only dental care available ever to them. They are the complete definition of their business name. Gentle Care Dentistry.

We recently moved back to the area, we had the same dentist for 36 years, but I think we have found our new dentists. Vanessa was excellent in cleaning my teeth, and the doctor seemed very nice. Everyone in the office was friendly. I would recommend them to everyone, looking for a dentist.

I'd avoided dentists all my life, until Gentle Care Dentistry, I have been a patient for a few years now, and thanks to their friendly staff and Drs. I have no problem keeping appointments. They have been instrumental in improving my dental health.
