The hygienist was very rough, making my gums bleed. Horrible experience! Then she said the reason my gums bleed is that I don't brush and floss often enough. My gums don't bleed at home! I'm 60 and only have 1 cavity! I am insulted at the accusation that I don't take care of my teeth! Then the dentist tried to sell me a plastic device to prevent grinding my teeth at night, for $500. No other dentist has ever told me I grind my teeth, and I don't believe it. I think he was trying to sell me something I don't need. Not going back.

I had to have my crown reset ASAP! The reception staff was extremely accommodating for the urgency .... But even better than that was Dr. Nemans expertise to insure that he wasn't just recapping a problem. X-ray and care was taken to ensure a perfect refit, with a professional attitude, which made me feel confident that I made the right choice for my new Dentist!

Excellent customer service and very kind hearted. The receptionist, dental assistants, and dentist are very considerate and excellent at their jobs. 10 out of 10, so I recommend.

Yes, they DID honor their prices. If you are getting an implant, before you get a crown, you need an abutment for each tooth. (In dentistry, an abutment is a connecting element. This is used in the context of a fixed bridge, partial removable dentures and in implants. The implant fixture is the screw-like component. Wikipedia) I agree this should be made clear while asking for the crown price but it is a separate action and price. If you've had a root canal you still have your tooth so you don't need an abutment. Its really up to us to ask for a quote and be specific what you need done. In any case, everyone was nice, I never had to wait, the Dentist was skilled and I saved $900. Its been 2 months since completion and my teeth are great. I left my last dentist because of price.

I was seen at the Harford Rd site today at 8 a.m.. I have lived in Parkville for over 25 years. I was a patient of Brian Schaefer for several years when Genesis took over the practice. This was my second visit. The staff at the front desk have been there for a long time and their courtesy, professionalism and overall handling of the office is terrific. This is the first time that I was treated by the dental hygenist. She was excellent. A completely painless dental cleaning. She explained what I needed to do to keep my teeth in good shape. I am 70 years old and have had the good fortune to have healthy teeth. She was pleasant, very professional and obviously very qualified. Dr. Silverman than came in and completed my examination and doubled down on the need for more flossing. When Dr. Schaefer left the practice I was concerned. After 2 visits, there is no need for any concern. I am not saying that going to the dentist is one of my favorite things to do. But I know now that my teeth are in good hands. I would recommend Genesis Dental, Harford Rd to anyone. As I was leaving, the folks at the front desk were just as pleasant and professional as I when I entered. Mike Brushe

They did an estimate for a crown it was VERY reasonable BUT they told me I had to do $800 more worth more of the work for them to do the cheap crown.So,it's not really saving $ if forced to pay more $ to do other"procedural" work.It's like fixing your car.The mechanics will say you need this and that repaired & you end up spending more $ fixing more things.These dentists don't honor their online ads for work unless you agree to spend more $ doing more work.When I spoke my mind told them it was my mouth,my teeth,& my bank $ they told me find another dentis

My Family are new patients to Genesis Family Dental, and we couldn't be happier. The dentist and hygienists were extremely thorough and the staff was very welcoming. Highly recommend!

I have been seeing Dr. Schaeffer for around 10 years. I went to him after receiving a long laundry list of procedures from a dental center. Dr. Schaffer looked at it and basically told me hogwash (not his words). He explained to me what the issue really was and said deep cleaning quarterly would be the cure. It was the cure. He taught me how to take care of my mouth, recommended the best electric toothbrush, toothpastes, gum cleansers, etc. etc. If all doctors talked to and advised their patients as he does, we all would be very healthy. He is humorous, personable, engaging, and do not rush you out. I am so happy that I found him and am now very mouth hygiene conscientious.
