Dr. Margaret Houting is a Wauwatosa native, and daughter of Dr. Fred LaCourt, co-founder of Generations Family Dental. Dr. Houting wanted to follow in her dads footsteps and join a profession that is about caring for people and building relationships.
Dr. Houting attended Marquette University for her undergraduate degree, majoring in Biomedical Sciences. She continued her education at Marquette University School of Dentistry, where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, graduating Cum Laude.
Dr. Houting believes being a healthcare provider is an important role in the community. It is not only to care for their oral health, but their overall well-being. She understands the importance of trust in the dental chair, and focuses primarily on providing exceptional care, because she has learned from the best (her dad!).
In her free time, Dr. Houting spends time with her two dogs. She and her husband love to go out to eat and try different restaurants. She also loves to travel and partake in outdoor activities, including running, biking and hiking.

Great staff, very patient and did well with my whole family! Would definitely recommend. Kids are 2 and 7 and they did amazing with them! I also got my teeth cleaned!

Throughout the whole procedure, the staff made sure I was comfortable and familiar with what was being done. I really enjoyed working with everyone at Generations Family Dental. Dr. Minard is top notch! She is extremely personable and professional. She uses the latest technology and really cares about her patients and getting the best outcomes for them. I am very impressed with how she works to make people feel comfortable while in her office. I have had regular checkups and cleanings as well as two crowns done by Dr. Minard, and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

The staff is always so professional yet personable. I feel very comfortable asking questions and the doctor is very careful and gentle. I feel like when I go I'm just catching up with friends, and getting my teeth cleaned is a bonus. I have had multiple cleanings, and a crown (with a root canal) and I am very, very pleased with the results.

I felt so welcomed right when i walked through the door and throughout my entire appointment. Dr. Minard was wonderful at explaining everything to me and was able to answer every question I had. She is so kind and was so gentle. She took the time to get to know me and really listened to my concerns about my teeth. I highly recommend this office to everyone!
