As an orthodontist, I think I have the best job in the world. I am able to see the wonderful ways a smile can transform peoples lives while improving their health and function at the same time. The transformations made during the course of treatment are rewarding to both the patient and myself! I also love to teach and am a clinical assistant professor at the University of Southern California Department of Orthodontics, and I lecture for the Naval dental program every year.
I attended Florida State University, where I majored in nutrition and food science. I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Southern California. My education continued at USC for my Master of Science in craniofacial biology and my orthodontic certificate. The following are some educational awards:
My team and I always strive to stay ahead of advances in orthodontic treatment, to provide the best possible care for our patients. I attend advanced Invisalign training courses to keep up on the latest technological advances in treatment and am a member of the Edward H. Angle Society, where Ive attended extensive lectures on diagnosis and treatment planning.
Giving back to the community where I live and work is very important to me. I actively support the Thousand Smiles Foundation, the Boy Scouts of America, the Santee Chamber of Commerce, all local sports teams, and the East County Chamber of Commerce.
I met my beautiful wife Kelly while completing my residency at USC. We have two sons, Alec and Carson, who someday may follow in my footsteps and join me in my orthodontic practice. When I have free time, I enjoy being with my family, especially in the outdoors. We take part in numerous activities, including skiing, hockey, geocaching, fishing, and golfing. Im also an avid Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers fan! I love to golf, did I mention golfing?
I started in the dental field in 1988 by helping my mom during the summers at the office she worked at. I fell in love with the opportunity to be a part of creating beautiful smiles and building relationships with our amazing family of patients. I was proud to join the Gechoff team in 2001. Dr. G. is an amazing orthodontist and a kind man. My team members are my family we are all here because we love what we do and enjoy each others company. We have tons of fun!
I have more than 30 years of experience in the dental field. Working as a registered dental assistant for most of that time helped give me the tools I needed to become a treatment coordinator. NowI have the opportunity to meet and educate so many wonderful patients and their families about the positive impact orthodontics can provide. The biggest reward in orthodontics is helping build lifelong confidence and self-esteem with beautiful smiles. I also enjoy being a part of this amazing, talented, and caring team that work together creating lifelong friendships and beautiful smiles!
I graduated from SDSU with a BS in business and entered the dental field in 2000. My goal at the front office is to provide a positive and welcoming experience every time our patients enter the office. The best part of my job is seeing our patients beautiful new smiles, and how happy and confident they are following orthodontic treatment. Ive loved working with Dr. Gechoff and our team since joining them in 2018. They have a great reputation and pride themselves in providing the best orthodontic treatment and care for their patients from start to finish.
My family is the most important thing in my life! I enjoy spending my free time outdoors with by husband, son, and dog. We like to go hiking, boating, camping, and exercising. I also enjoy cooking and trying new restaurants.
I was introduced to the dental field in 1996 in the dental department at Childrens Hospital and worked my way up to becomea registered dental assistant at Dr. Gechoffs in 1998. Dr. Gechoff is very detailed in his work and honest to patients about what they can expect from treatment. Patients love our office because we all work very well together and have created a comfortable, family atmosphere. Working with patients and their families all day long allows me to build meaningful relationships with them. I love watching their personal growth and smile transformations!
I graduated from dental assisting school in 1998 and have been working in the orthodontic field ever since! I joined Gechoff Orthodontics in 2004 as a clinical assistant. I love getting to know our amazing patients and their families, and seeing their beautiful smiles that we help to create. Our doctor and team are passionate about providing the best patient care around. We are a family and love to spend time together in and out of the office.
I grew up in Central California and moved to San Diego many years ago. My husband Ronnie and I have two amazing children:son Brewin and daughter Brynlie. During my free time, I enjoy cheering my children on in their various sports and spending time with friends and family camping and at the river.
Prior to attending Grossmont ROP program, I was a receptionist at a dental office when I lived in Germany. Thats what sparked my interest in the dental field! AfterjoiningGechoff Orthodontics in 2017, I serve as an X-ray technician and photograph our patients before and after pictures! The best part of my job is being able to see the transformation of a beautiful smile emerge in each of our patients. I also love that we are more of a family than we are team members. We all are in it for the same purpose and genuinely care about all our patients.
My Ohana (Hawaiian for family) is my everything! I have a spunky and outgoing daughter, Korie. We both love to dance hula, long days at the beach, and singing songs at the top of our lungs in the car.
I started school at the Grossmont Health OccupationsCenter in 1997. After graduating, I started working in orthodontics. I loved it and have been doing it ever since! Since we see our patients every two months, I love getting to know them, watching the younger kids grow up, and seeing all their smiles progress. I love being a part of making beautiful smiles! I joined Gechoff Orthodontics in 1999. Its really great to work for such an amazing orthodontist who is also so good to his staff. Plus I love all the wonderful ladies I work with. We are like family!
