Dr. Scott Nolen is a native of Carbondale, Illinois and did his undergraduate studies at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He graduated from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis and entered a four year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas Texas in 1985. After completion of his specialty training, he became Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Hiran Fernando was born in the Bronx, New York and grew up in Belvidere, Illinois. He attended college at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He then went on to complete dental school at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. After dental school, he completed a one year internship/teaching fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The Ohio State University. He then completed a four year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Rochester in New York in 2011. After completion of his specialty training, he became Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Mark Travis was born and raised in Denver Colorado, and he did his undergraduate studies at Loyola-Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis and subsequently completed a four year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Washington University Medical School and Barnes Hospital in 1980. After completion of his specialty training,he became Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

I got my wisdom teeth pulled out yesterday. Very great service. They help guide you through the process of numbing and healing etc. They check up on you. Overall professional and friendly people. Awesome.

Dr. Nolen and his entire team took fabulous care of myself and my husband for our wisdom teeth extractions. Everyone was very welcoming and gentle and did everything they could to accommodate us when scheduling and make us feel comfortable day of! Dr. Nolen personally called to check in on us that Friday evening. We had smooth and uneventful healing because of his care and expertise. We would highly recommend this office to anyone needing an oral surgeon!

Considering I was new at oral surgery, and not new at life....I was a bit anxious. But Dr. Nolan and his experienced staff soon changed my fear to family. Such gentle and kindness combined with explanation and the concern for me as a patient was actually a pleasant experience. Not to mention the OBVIOUS expertise. After removing two teeth, I left with a smile in my heart. ( My face did smiles later after I wasn't numb) Days later....I would do it all over again if necessary with no worries. Reccomend highly.

Dr. Nolen and his staff were about the best medical team I've interacted with in my life. So kind, friendly and especially comforting for my daughter getting her wisdom teeth out. And they were extremely informative and supportive for follow up care information and needs. Dr. Nolen even called to see how my daughter was doing on a Friday evening, even though they had a company holiday party. I HIGHLY recommend their care.

I had an implant put in recently after a tooth removal. I had anesthesia with tooth removal. Dr. Fernando said I did not do well with breathing while under so would not put me back under for implant. I was scared to death. Dr. Fernando and nurses made me feel so comfortable and kept asking how I was feeling. They made sure I was in no pain and I wasn't. I was so impressed that I referred him. My total treatment is not over but I am much more comfortable and think I'll be less fearful in future appointments.

My name is Jenny Lopez on Friday October 15th I had one of my wisdom teeth pulled out. Let me tell you, I have always had a very bad experience with dentists in my entire life. But I tell you, since I got to the clinic everyone was very kind to me, absolutely everyone. I was very nervous but they were very gentle and kind to me all the time. Thank you Andrea for the instructions and for being very patient and kind during my visit. Dr. Nolen thank you, thank you and thank you very much for being so kind and careful with your work and thank you very much also to his assistant who I do not remember her name (sorry for that). My son had surgery today and they removed all of his wisdom teeth. The surgery took about an hour and Dr. Fernando was the surgeon. In recovery I got to meet the discharge nurse Margie. Margie was extremely helpful, attentive, just wonderful. She answered all of my questions and set my mind at ease, truly a pleasure. This is my second child to have surgery here and I definitely recommend them. They do wonderful work and always make you feel at ease.

Dr Fernando performed a biopsy on my tongue on 12/17/20. I have extreme dental anxiety and usually require nitrous oxide for anything more than a cleaning. Dr Fernando worked quickly, made sure I was completely numb before he started and it was over before I knew it. His nurse Margie was very comforting and made sure I had all my prescriptions and discharge instructions.

I was pleased on how efficient everyone was .. Margie explained everything on what they were going to to do .. Dr. Fernando was very polite and kept asking if I was ok . Things were over and they explained my care. Very nice and professional.. I highly recommend the office . Thanks everybody ..

I was referred to Dr Fernando by general dentist, Dr Coleman. I went to the Florissant office. From the moment I walked in, till the moment I left, I felt important. I felt like they were all there for me. Dr Fernando has excellent bedside manner. Kept me informed of what he was doing during tooth extraction. Explained thoroughly what to expect in the next several days and where I could reach him if a problem arrived. I would certainly return if I needed them again and would send my best friend there.
