Dr. McMillenreceivedhis doctor of dental surgery from Northwestern University in Chicago and has been practicing in the Dekalb and Sycamore area since 1994.His philosophy is comprehensive preventative dental care.Dr. McMillenbelieves in addressing areas of concern prior to them progressing into bigger more expensive problems.
When not practicing dentistry,Dr. McMillenenjoys spending time withhis wife and theirtwo dogs, Wallace the Saint Bernard and Taz the Beagle.He also enjoys playing tennis and spending time outdoors.They are both passionate about animal rescue and encourage people to consider adoption when they are looking to add to their families.

The receptionist is extremely rude. I had an appointment for 12:00 p.m. (11:40 to complete paperwork, unless I decided to pre-fill the forms and then I could arrive at regular time). I was called the morning of at 11:40, asking where I was and that I was late for my appointment. I explained that when I made the appointment it was for 12:00 noon and I even had a voicemail message the day before confirming the appointment was definitely at noon. She very rudely stated that was incorrect and I needed to reschedule. I mentioned that I had already pre-filled the forms and could still be there by the appointment time at noon. She then backtracked and said the office was extremely busy and "behind schedule" so they did not have time to see me today, stating that we would have to reschedule at this time. She stated the earliest appointment on a Friday was May, so I told her I would have to find another place. Instead of apologizing, she just said "ok" and hung up. I have heard great reviews from Dr. McMillian, but I think he needs to find better receptionists and more friendly staff.

What a great dental office. They were ON TIME , easy to get an appointment with, it is a nice office with a great staff and they took my DELTA insurance and my wifes METLIFE insurance. Highly recommend this place

I HATE going to the dentist...BUT I would recommend this place to EVERYONE! The dentist is gentle and really good.. I hardly felt the numbing at all. The assistant stayed with me the entire time and the front office person knew all about my insurance and helped me understand what they were going to cover. They were even on time! I would say this is a 5 star place!

This place is a private practice and gives one on one attention to each person. The staff & Dr.Mcmillen were friendly and helpful they provided option for the work I needed and estimated what my portion would be. Clean updated office with caring people

Had an awful experience with a "routine" surface filling. two weeks later I'm in so much pain! They never showed any concern or care in my case. Avoid if at all possible!

Very professional work done.Scheduling is open and flexible. Hygienist is great with children. The experience was tainted by an underestimation of insurance and a surprise bill many months later though, so make sure you stay in contact with them to make sure there are no loose ends after you get work done.
