Dr. Edith M. Pallencaoe grew up in San Diego and graduated from UCLA School of Dentistry in 2000.She completed an elective, one year General Practice Residency at the San Diego VA Medical Center in 2001 and practiced general dentistry in San Diego for 2 years before moving up to Paso Robles in 2003 to be with her husband, Dr. Douglas J. Harrington, who is an orthodontist and pediatric dentist here in town.
Both Drs. McFarland and Pallencaoe live in Paso Robles and met while associating together in a local dental practice. As luck would have it, they worked really well together, shared the same dental vision and philosophies, and decided to start a dental practice together in 2005.
Dr. Kathryn A. McFarland grew up in Vancouver, Canada and graduated from Loma Linda School of Dentistry in 1991. She practiced general dentistry in San Diego and associated and partnered in private dental practices in San Diego County for 9 years before moving up to Paso Robles in 2001.
Gena was trained and worked as a dental assistant for five years before pursuing her passionin dental hygiene. She graduated from Northern Arizona University Dental Hygiene Programin 1998 and has been a practicing hygienist ever since. Gena has been with Gateway DentalPractice since 2005.
Chelsey completed her dental assistant certification at Galen College in 2000. She has had advanced assistant training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. Chelsey has been with Gateway Dental Practice as a dental assistant since 2006.
Carey has been in the dental field since 1998 and has been trained as both dental assistant and dental office receptionist. Herlove of people has kept her in the dental profession. Carey applied for her Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certificate in 2018. We have been very fortunate to have Carey on our Gateway Dental Practice team since 2007.
Sheryl has been an RDA for over 28 years. Gateway Dental was fortunate to add her as a staff member in July of 2020. Her chairside assisting knowledge has proven helpful with patient care while working as a front office administrator.
Jennifer has been a dental assistant since 1989. She obtained her Registered Dental Assistant license in 1995. Jennifer took a break from the profession in 2004 to raise her wonderful sons and returned to dentistry in 2013. We have loved having her as a member of our team since 2019.
Meagan graduated with a BA in Sociology from San Jose State University in 2007 and continued her schooling at Carrington College for the Dental Hygiene Program. Meagan received her Registered Dental Hygiene license in 2009 and has been practicing in the Central Coast since. We welcomed her to our dental family in 2019.
Raina started working in the dental field in 2010. She was highly interested in the administrative aspect of dentistry that she completed a degree in Health Care Administration thru LA College International in 2011. Raina has been a part of our dental team since April 2013.
