Dr. Christopher Erskine graduated from Case Western University in 2002. Prior to studying at Dental school, he attended the University of Utah. He consistently takes many continuing education classes, ensuring that all his patients receive the most comprehensive and up to date dental care.
Dr. Erskine has been practicing for 21 years, 17 of which have been at this location. He has a passion for dentistry and enjoys creating personal relationships with each of his patients. Dr. Erskine is married and has 4 children. He enjoys spending time with his family and running marathons. He is an extremely gentle dentist who takes pride in his work.
Education: Dr. Amber Powell graduated from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. While in dental school she completed certificate programs in Public Health Dentistry from A.T. Still University and Health Care Law from Arizona Summit Law School. Prior to dental school Dr. Powell attended Arizona State University where she studied psychology and sociology in addition to her pre-doctoral studies. Dr. Powell especially enjoys pediatric dentistry and cosmetic dentistry.
Personal Bio: Dr. Powell is married, and she and her husband are both Arizona natives. She enjoys serving at her church, spending time with her family and crafting. Dr. Powell is a former competitive Latin and Ballroom dancer and still dances in her free time.

I am so disappointed in the service I received when I went in for my cleaning this week. I look forward to getting my teeth cleaned every six months however, when I left the Gateway Dental Care on Monday, I was not pleased. At first it went like it normally does...x rays first. But then the assistant started polishing my teeth BEFORE they had been cleaned. It was a very poor job of polishing my teeth too. Then the Dentist came in for my exam before my teeth were cleaned. I have never had a dentist do an exam before cleaning in all the years I have had my teeth cleaned. Then the hygienist cleaned my teeth. I insisted she polish my teeth again even though she informed me her assistant had already done this. I told her I was not happy with her assistant's job and wanted it done again. I also voiced my concerns with the way my appointment went with the front desk personnel when I was asked about my appointment. Her reply was she would note it in my chart that I did not like it in the order I received it. The only reason I could come up with for them to handle my appointment in this order was because they were overbooked. I know this as my husband was in the chair next to me and I waited for his teeth to be cleaned first by the same hygienist. As a client, they made me feel that keeping their schedule was much more important than my receiving good service. This was my third cleaning since moving here and I am not sure if I will go back. They did not seem to be concerned with my concerns about the service I received. 10/13/22 I need to edit my review. Was called same day the review was posted. I was told they understood my frustrations and wanted to see if I would give them another chance. I went back in yesterday and had my teeth cleaned again by another assistant. The cleaning happened first and polishing afterwards. I was pleased with the service I received. I will give them another chance in 6 months at my next cleaning. For a business to reach back out to me and want to show me that they could and did do better in today's world is worth giving them a second chance. Thank you Gateway Dental Care for being authentic enough to reach back out to me and for wanting to do better.

Best Dental practice ever!!! I honestly don't trust anyone else with my teeth. I get severe SEVERE anxiety about going to any dentist--mostly because I've had so many bad experiences with other dental practices. But these guys are not like the others, and they have absolutely earned my trust. Every dentist I've seen here has decades of experience-- they are true teeth artists who care how your teeth and crowns look and feel. They recently made a crown for me and it's so perfect, i can't even tell it apart from my real teeth. They have incredible technology that allows them to scan your mouth and then design and sculpt a perfect crown on the computer (while you watch) and then they print it onsite and put it in your mouth in the same appointment. I've never been happier with a dentist. I'm moving cross country soon, and as i told them, I'll be planning my dental appointments around my trips home because i don't trust anyone else with my teeth!! I couldn't recommend this practice more highly!

This Dental time is amazing. From scheduling over the phone, checking in, cleanings and friendly knowledgeable Dentist. They are all welcoming and make you feel like family would. Great with kids as well. So glad I've found y'all. Absolutely recommend

My wife introduced me to Gateway Dental many, many years ago and glad she did. The staff and dentists are extremely friendly and care about your dental health. They help out with insurance and explain issues in a clear and concise manner. I HIGHLY recommend Gateway Dental. You will not be disappointed.

I absolutely love this place. The patient care is wonderful. they are professional, Personable, communicative, great working with insurances, and stay on top of making sure you are taken care of. They are also very gentle, one of the most gentle dentists I've been to. i moved here from WA and had been going to the same dentist basically all my life, so it was hard to find a place here. I'm so glad I chose gateway dental. They made me feel at home and like they have my best interests in mind. they also wave the fee for your first deep cleaning, which is normally $300 and it is solely because they want their clients/patients to have a good start to getting back to taking care of their teeth consistently. I've never seen a dentist that does that. i highly recommend gateway dental!!
