Specializing in infants, children, adolescents and patients with special needs, Dr. Laetitia Sery and her staff believe that positive dental visits at an early age can create a lifetime of healthy smiles. We strive to create a fun and welcoming environment for kids. With iPads and cartoons in the waiting area it automatically turns the dentist office into a FUN place for children of all ages! Dr. Laetitia Sery received a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Benin in Nigeria. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles and continued her education at the Bronx Lebanon where she earned her specialty degree in Pediatric Dentistry. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She currently has hospital privileges at Caromont Hospital, Gastonia, Kings Mountain Hospital and Carolinas Medical Center - Main and University.
Dr. Sery loves working with children and their families and enjoys spending time with her husband, Patrick, and their three children in their home in Gastonia. She also enjoys reading, journaling and cooking in her spare time.
A member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, NC Dental Society and the NC Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Sery believes that all patients should be treated as though they were her own children. Wonderful place with amazing people, my daughters have no issue going here at all. They are great with children absolutely amazing, you can also have two of your children seen at one time. The Dentist is wonderful and does so good with my girls anytime they come in. We have basically no wait at all, and they will work with you.

My biggest complaint was my insurance said this office accepted my insurance. When I called she was adamant they didn't. And I asked if she was sure she said yes where did you get it? I told her it was insurance I purchased through marketplace for my daughter. She then decided it was appropriate to say "That's why we don't accept that, they don't pay anything." This was wildly inappropriate to say. As a single mom it is hard enough to have to buy insurance but to have a facility speak like that to me was unacceptable. And her tone was very condescending. I don't know who normally answers the phones but I hope she sees this and gets retrained on how to speak to people.

As a retired dentist who worked on children for 23 years, I found it so difficult to find a dental office for my 4 year old nephew to have treatment done. This was the third office we tried. As he needed quiet a bit of treatment done, the other two offices were adamant to put him to sleep to have it done, even though due to a medical condition it was high risk. From my practice, I knew 100% that he could get it done with just local anesthesia in office. I am over the moon at having found Gastonia Pediatric Dentistry. From my perspective, they are honest, ethical, conservative in every aspect and do good dentistry. At two appointments they did less work than previously treatment planned, although I had looked at the xrays and agreed to the treatment; once they got in, they felt treatment was not as extensive as we all thought. She could have just done the work and I would have been totally ok with it. That was someone that is honest and ethical. Their interaction, with not just my nephew but the other children there, was just as it should be: age appropriate and with lots of patience. The staff is kind and friendly and treat patients just as I did in my office. I can not recommend this office enough and although it is a bit of a drive for us, it is totally worth every mile.

Today was our first time coming here and my Son LOVES it and so do I! They are amazing with children, and I would recommend anyone to go there. My son had bad anxiety and he can't wait to go back the staff is wonderful and I give them a 10/10

I moved to the area a few months ago and was looking for a dentist for my daughter and saw them online. The staff is very friendly while is very helpful for the kids. It's clean and very struck with the covid protocol. Once you get there you have to call from the care to check in and wait until they call you in.

My wife and girls had a great experience at Gastonia Pediatric Dentistry today! Amanda (reception) offered to hold the baby while my wife used the restroom. Denise made sure our insurance was in order. Tina made the girls so happy they can't wait to go back. She was the hygienist. The Doctor brought in the dinosaur for Emmaline to brush its teeth because she wants to be a dentist. Tina took time to explain all about sugar in what we eat and drink. Thanks so much everyone!!

I have taken my children to this office for over 6 years now and am always very pleased with the care they receive. I just want to say THANK YOU to your entire staff. Today was my daughter's first appointment there since coming out as transgender and all of you made it such a wonderful experience. Her correct name and pronouns were used by everyone without us having to remind anyone and it means the absolute world to us that your staff is so compassionate and supportive. My daughter felt seen and respected, which helped so much with her anxiety. She left your office beaming with happiness! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for this positive experience and helping my daughter feel accepted and seen in a world that isn't always very kind to her. I am grateful beyond words to your entire staff!!

Unprofessional is all i can say! I've never had my appointment slot taken because i didn't call to verify! Most doctors replace your slot if you don't show up not if you don't call! I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone!

Both my sons had an appointment at 9:00 am this morning. We arrived and called like we were told at 8:55. The receptionist informed me that the children and I all needed masks in order to go inside. We did not have masks with us and the office had none to provide. I asked if we could quickly run to the nearest store to grab some for us and she said no and rescheduled the appointments to 11:00. We waited around Gastonia (bought masks) and went back to the office at 10:45 to call back and say that we were back. We were then informed that my husband was not allowed to come in with me and our two children to their appointment. At 11:15 we were finally called back into the office. During the appointment, there was a very small leak coming out the ceiling of the room my boys were being examined. FIVE different nurses came in unannounced during my sons appointment paying no attention to us three of them WITHOUT masks to observe the leak. No consideration whatsoever from anyone working today. The staff refused to work with us. We will not be back and we do no recommend this dentist office. We try to be understanding and we completely are for the safety of others against covid but this was beyond rude.

Do not waste your time. They will give your appointment away. We have been taking all 4 of our children here a little over 4 years. In this time I have never missed an appointment or have been late. My son has braces he needed to have a cavity filled so we had to coordinate with his orthodontist to get a wire removed so we can get the cavity filled, I made those appointments with orthodontist and dentist went to the orthodontist at 9 AM to have the wire removed was supposed to go to the dentist at 1 PM to have the cavity filled when we arrived we were told that his appointment was taken because we did not confirm. Never did they say if you do not confirm your appointment that your appointment will be given to someone else. So I basically took my son to three dental appointments yesterday for nothing. Office staff does not care what parents have to go through.
