Gaston and Murrell Family Dentistry is a full-service dental practice that treats patients of all ages. At their state-of-the-art clinic in Nashville, Tennessee, the team specializes in family dental care, providing you and all of your loved ones with all the care you need under one roof.
Nathan Murrell, DMD, leads the team at Gaston and Murrell Family Dentistry. He began working side-by-side with his father-in-law Dr. Gaston soon after graduating from dental school and is passionate about continuing the standards and high level of care that Dr. Gaston established.
Gaston and Murrell Family Dentistry knows that the best dental care comes from using the best dental tools. The office is equipped with the most up-to-date technology including intraoral cameras, digital X-rays, and CEREC (CAD/CAM technology) for same-day crowns.
The team follows a treatment philosophy of conservative and preventive care offering a wide range of services, including dental cleanings, dental implants, night guards, dentures, and periodontal therapy. They also provide exceptional cosmetic services like teeth whitening and veneers.
Gaston and Murrell Family Dentistry believes that everybody deserves a healthy smile and strives to keep care affordable. They offer an in-house membership plan for patients who dont have dental insurance, with adult-, pediatric-, and periodontal-specific plans, so that you can get the care you need at a price that makes sense.
Kari has been a valued member of the team for many years having worked with both Dr. Murrell and Dr. Gaston. You will know her from her cheery smile as you walk in the office. Kari takes pride in helping our patients with business, financial and scheduling questions. Kari has received advanced education in accounting and dental assisting from Nashville State Community College. Her education even includes graphic design from OMore College of Design.
Kerri has been with the practice for over 20 years working with both Dr. Murrell and Dr. Gaston by assisting them chairside during clinical procedures. She knows many of our patients and loves caring for them. You may have also seen her in the front office as she assists with the business needs of the practice as well. Kerri received her education at Western Kentucky University, Vol State, and Nashville State Community College.
Ashlee is one of our beloved hygienists having treated and cared for patients for many years. She, too, worked with both Dr. Gaston and Dr. Murrell. She takes pride in making smiles as beautiful and healthy as she can. Patients always know that Ashlee puts their best interests first carefully educating them on how to keep their teeth a lifetime. Ashlee received her education in dental hygiene from Western Kentucky University.
Debbie has been with Gaston and Murrell for nearly the last 20 years. She has had the privilege to serve patients of both Dr. Gaston and Dr. Murrell. Debbie enjoys caring for each of her many patients. She partners with her patients to help them achieve optimal dental health. Debbie received her education in dental hygiene from Western Kentucky University and the University of Kentucky.
Peggy is our newest team member who brings with her the ability to assist Dr. Murrell and his patient in a whole new way. She received advanced education through Nashville State Tech, University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, and the University of Tennessee. Her advanced training as a clinical assistant allows her to perform expanded functions in the office. This allows her to do more so that Dr. Murrell can be more efficient and focus more on your clinical care.

The entire staff works as a cohesive efficient and friendly team!!! I loved Debbie cleaning my teeth. She cleaned fast and pain free. Dr. Murrell is professional and accurate in his evaluations. I highly recommend this practice. Kari is SO helpful with insurance and scheduling!!!

It's always fun to have dental procedures performed at Gaston and Murrell Family Dentistry. Everybody is upbeat and professional. I'm in their monthly dental club and it's very affordable. Ask for Ashlee. She's wonderful! And Nathan is a very cool Dentist. Wish I had more cavities so I could see them more often, but they take such great care of my teeth that nothing ever needs fixing.

I am 58 years old and I have been going to this practice since my first visit when I was 14. Harper Gaston, DDS started his practice and worked in this office for decades. He is the best! He then allowed Nathan Murrell, who is also a dentist and married to one of Dr. Gaston's daughters, to come into the practice as an equal and helped h learn the business and this particular practice and the regular patients. Then Dr. Gaston began working fewer hours until he turned the daily business over to Dr. Murrell. Dr. Murrell has Gaston's same friendly, caring demeanor and he's truly thoughtful. The hygienists and office staff are fabulous. I can't give this practice a higher recommendation. They make you feel like family and they are reasonably priced in a world of price gougers. You will not find a more caring dentist anywhere.

I broke a molar off at the gumline in 1987. I needed to have a root canal done and then capped. I've still had no problems with that tooth today in 2022 been going there every six months for cleaning ever cents I've had several molars that needed to be capped because of all cavities creating cracks in the molars never had any problems with caps coming off always a positive atmosphere there.

I am a little nervous about going to the dentist and they all made me feel so comfortable! My cleaning was easy and the hygienist was careful and very kind. I left the office with healthy teeth and feeling great about my next visit. I highly recommend Nathan Murrell and his team!!
