Dr. Machiko was born and raised in Pittsburgh and after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1975 Dr. Machiko worked in the mass transit and nuclear energy industries. He then returned to the University of Pittsburgh in 1978 where he received a MS degree in Public Health. Immediately afterwards he entered the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where he graduated in 1982 with his DMD degree. This additional training has been an asset with regards to his comprehensive approach to dental implants and aesthetic dentistry.
In 1984, he participated in his first dental implant post graduate course which became a lifelong professional passion. In the mid 1990s, he embarked on another professional passion to become an outstanding aesthetic dentist.
Dr. Leslie Pasco graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1998. She has been in private practice ever since and is changing the footprint of dentistry by establishing and maintaining the small, private practicing dentist.
Dr. Pasco and her team of dentists know that heart disease, diabetes, stroke, chronic fatigue and other body ailments are linked to gum disease and issues with the teeth. Extremely overdue review! Dr. Machiko did such a wonderful job on my veneers this past summer, I could not be happier! This dentistry truly provided exceptional service and care. Dr. Machiko and his assistants, Tina, April and Kim, provided a comfortable and reassuring environment during even the most difficult of my procedures. I am beyond satisfied with service and care I received, and I will be returning to them for all my future dental procedures. Thanks to Dr Machiko's hard work I am confident in my smile again!

I am so happy I found Dr. Gary Machiko!! After a series of dental disasters, Dr. Machiko came to my rescue. He is a perfectionist when it comes to his work and has a wonderful "chair-side" manner. I trust him with all my dental care and have recommended him to others who are also extremely happy in his care. He and his staff are both kind & courteous. I would highly recommend Dr. Gary Machiko!

Should of reviewed this dentist sooner. I am in my 70's and have seen at least 14 different dentists in the areas of Pittsburgh, Chicago, Southern California and Tampa during my life. Dr Machiko replaced a tooth for me approximately 1 year ago. Dr Machiko is by far the best and most profession of all the dentists in my experience. To complement my experience I have seen two other dentist for cleanings and both were highly complementary of Dr. Machiko restoration work.

Dr. Machiko is the best general and cosmetic dentist there is! I've been a patient of Dr. Machiko's for over 15 years and cannot sing his praises enough. Throughout all of my years as a patient and through several different procedures, I have never once felt any pain or been unhappy with his work. He is a true perfectionist in every way, and needing bridge and cosmetic work done to my front teeth, I appreciate his eye and attention to every detail. Dr. Machiko, Kathy and staff are all so kind and welcoming, and at this point, truly feel like family to me. I had a dental emergency on a weekend recently, and Dr. Machiko was kind enough to see me in a rush to help get me through until his normal business hours the following week. I was so eternally grateful for that and won't soon forget his kindness. If you're in need of a dentist in the North Hills/Wexford area, look no further than Dr. Machiko - he is simply the best there is (a master at his craft) and I am so grateful for his quality work and to be his patient. I love my smile and it's truly all thanks to him. I would never go anywhere else!

I had a lot of issues with my teeth from needing root canals, bridges, crowns and implants. Gary gave me the confidence to smile again. I have now moved to Florida and my current dentist said that Gary's work was of high quality. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Machiko is an excellent dentist and is patient with those of us that hate dental work. When I lived out of town, I would travel back to Pittburgh to see him rather than find a new dentist. I would highly recommend him.
