Its always a pleasure to meet new patients and welcome existing and past patients. As your orthodontist for 31 years now, I feel a special pride serving our local communities. Recently, weve begun to see more second generation patients, and they are especially endearing to myself and the staff. Orthodontics is my passion and I bring this to my practice every day. I want all of my patients to come away with a beautiful smile and a fond memory of their orthodontic experience!
Dr. Gary Thomas Puccio is a native of Schodack, New York. His interest to pursue orthodontics was sparked by his own orthodontic treatment as an adolescent. He graduated from Maple Hill High School and furthered his education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), majoring in Biology and minoring in Materials Engineering. Even today as an orthodontist, Dr. Puccio uses his engineering background to create beautiful and lasting smiles. Pursuing his dental education at Georgetown Universitys School of Dentistry, Dr. Puccio received his degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery with honors, graduating Summa Cum Laude. To specialize in orthodontics, he completed a two year orthodontic residency at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. In February of 1999, Dr. Puccio became certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. Also in 1999, he became an Invisalign Certified Provider, and achieved the Invisalign Elite Preferred Provider level in 2016. He is in private practice, specializing in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.
In October of 1987, Dr. Puccio opened his orthodontic office in Schodack, but was unable to see patients on the very first day due to the snowstorm that caused widespread power failures. Even with this unforgettable start, his practice and reputation grew, and in May of 1998 he moved the practice to its current larger location on Schuurman Road.

Eileen joined team Puccio in 1987 when Dr. Puccio opened his practice. She and Dr. Puccio have been happily married since 1993. They have one son Alec who was born in 1996. She grew up in the Village of Castleton and attended Maple Hill High School. She is a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She continued her education at UAlbany where she received her Bachelors in Biology. She enjoys skiing, going to the beach, scuba diving, mowing the lawn, tending to her chickens, and logging.
Danielle joined team Puccio in March 2000. She grew up in East Greenbush, NY and attended Columbia High School. She attended Sage College and is graduate of Hudson Valley Community College as a Registered Dental Assistant. She is happily married with two children. Danielle enjoys running, going to the beach, spending time with family & friends, and traveling to new places.
Deb joined team Puccio in July 2000. She grew up in Schodack Landing, NY and attended Ichabod Crane CSD. She is a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College as a Registered Dental Assistant. She enjoys playing with her dogs Sadie & Duke, tending to her 21 chickens, and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Jaime joined team Puccio in April 2007. She grew up in East Greenbush, NY and attended Columbia High School. She is a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College as a Registered Dental Assistant. Jaime loves spending time with her son Brodie, visiting new restaurants, and walking.
Nicole joined team Puccio in January 2017. She grew up in Scotia, NY and attended Schenectady Christian School. She is a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Nicole enjoys gardening, sewing, watching baseball, spending time with her family, and attending concerts.
Remington joined team Puccio in March 2017. She grew up in New Lebanon, NY and attended New Lebanon CSD. She is a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College with an Associates in Business Administration. Remington loves spending time with her daughter Lexi and her family, she enjoys traveling/visiting new places, and listening to music.

My 10 year old daughter had her first appointment (braces consultation) with Dr. Hussain recently and we are both very pleased with our experience at this practice. Scheduling and check-in was a smooth process. The whole staff (receptionist, hygienest and the dentist) were very friendly and professional. My daughter was quite anxious when she walked in but is now looking forward to go back and get braces. I would highly recommend this place.

Before we chose Dr. Puccio for our son we consulted two other orthodontists. I'm so happy we did! We are thrilled with the results and the friendly staff that took care of our son.

We always have such a great experience at Dr. Puccio's office. Upon entering, we are greeted warmly. I can't remember a single time where we waited more than 30 seconds to be called back for our appointment. The staff, technicians and Dr. Puccio are all extremely informative and pleasant to work with. We had one occasion where (between appointments) we needed the Invisalign adjusted, and we were seen within hours of my phone call. I would absolutely recommend this practice, and I am grateful for their kind, caring staff!

Dr. Puccio has been straightforward and caring from the initial evaluation and throughout the process (Invisalign). Bad reviews keep getting deleted or hidden. Odd. Maybe too many others are speaking out about their face, health and life ruined? Well over 10 years later, I'm still suffering the consequences of extraction orthodontics and rubber bands. The dr never informed me or my parents the risks of either. I now have major sinus issues that may need surgery, bruxism, sleep apnea, small jaws that never properly developed due to being mutilated in my teens, cannot practice proper oral posture, a really bad and worsening overbite and open bite, and an ugly, gummy smile with crooked bone and muscle. This will take 50k or more to correct with double jaw surgery and many months of recovery, and possibly braces yet again. And yes I wore my retainer properly.
