A graduate of the Georgetown University School of Dentistry, Dr. Gary Seiden has been creating great smiles for more than 30 years. His countless success stories and ongoing professional development have positioned him as one of the most sought-after dental practitioners in the National Capital region. Before opening his Washington office, Dr. Seiden built a highly successful family practice in Baltimore. He left that practice in October 2000. Along with spending two months in India, he spent time volunteering at a mission in Ecuador. In March of 2002, he decided to return to private practice, this time, much closer to his Dupont Circle home.
In August 2008, he traveled to Papua New Guinea and joined the medical/dental team on the naval medical ship, USNS Mercy. With the ship serving as his floating dormitory, Dr. Seiden took daily trips ashore to provide much-needed dental care to the native islanders.
In February 2013, he traveled to Vientiane, Laos, as a representative from Health Volunteers Overseas. He spent time instructing dental faculty and students in areas where they required much-needed expertise.
Dr. Banks was born in Virginia, and raised in West Virginia. He attended West Virginia University where he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS), as well as completing his undergraduate studies in three years. While a student at the West Virginia University School of Dentistry, he was actively involved in many philanthropic organizations. Following dental school, Dr. Banks worked alongside his father, Dr. Kenneth Banks, at his practice Smile Designs of the Shenandoah Valley.
As a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, International Academy of Facial Aesthetics and the Maryland Dental Association, Dr. Banks is committed to expanding his knowledge of dental practice and keeping up with the new strides that technology and research provide for oral health.In 2013, Dr. Banks was selected to serve as Chair for the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistrys Board of Trustees.
