Dr. Gary Solnit attended The University of Southern California from 1978-1982 and then received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from The University of Southern California in 1986. He then went on to do a two-year residency at the University of Iowa, becoming Certified in the specialty of Prosthodontics. In addition, he earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in dental research with implants in 1988.
Dr. Solnit has restored thousands of dental implants for patients of all ages and has become an international lecturer on the subject. As a Certified Specialist in Prosthodontics he treats complex dental cases that are usually considered to be beyond the scope of care that would be rendered by most general dentists. Along with the complex cases a good portion of his practice is devoted to General Dentistry at an extremely high level.
Dr. Solnit has had leadership positions in the many professional organizations of which he is a member, including the American College of Prosthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society for Prosthodontics (President-elect), the Academy of Osseointegration, Platform for Exchange of Education and Research (PEERS), and the Western Prosthodontic Study Club. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Dentists (FACD), a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), Director of the West Coast ITI Study Club (WCITI), and a past president of the Beverly Hills Academy of Dentistry.
In addition to active involvement in these organizations, Dr. Solnit continues to instruct other doctors in restorative implant techniques both in training courses and student externships held in his office. He is past Director of Occlusion at USC, and currently maintains an adjunct faculty position. He has published many articles in refereed dental journals and has contributed a chapter to a leading textbook on dental implants.
When hes not in the office, Dr. Solnit enjoys road and mountain bike riding, skiing, hiking, and weight training with his wife of 24 years. He has ridden many road bike Centuries, raced with U.S. Cycling, and climbed Mount Whitney in one day. He also enjoys going to Trojan Football, Clippers, and many other sports games with his two sons. This all leaves very little time for two more joys in his life: Sculpting and painting.
Dr. Simon Gamer earned his D.D.S. degree at Northwestern University, where he also taught as a full-time instructor in operative dentistry and oral diagnosis. After moving back home to Los Angeles, he opened his practice and taught full time at USC, in the Department of Oral Diagnosis, and completed a board-eligible residency in prosthodontics. After residency, Dr. Gamer taught pre-doctoral prosthodontics, and since 1985 has been a co-course director in the combined prosthodontics/periodontics diagnosis and treatment planning seminar in the graduate division of USCs Ostrow School of Dentistry.
In addition to serving multiple generations of patients at his long-standing practice in Beverly Hills, Dr. Gamer has published extensively in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and other peer-reviewed medical and dental journals, lectured locally and internationally, and continues to provide dental care to underserved communities around the globe through missions with Operation Smile. Dr. Gamers current affiliations include: Attending Prosthodontist at Children's Hospital Los Angeles; Clinical Professor for the Division of Primary Oral Health Care at USCs Ostrow School of Dentistry; and Member Dentist, Department of Surgery and Division of Dentistry at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, as well as a Qualified Medical Examiner for the State of Californias Division of Workers' Compensation.
Dr. Gamer is the past president of the Hollywood Dental Society and the Beverly Hills Academy of Dentistry. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his family, practicing the clarinet, fishing, bicycling, hiking, swimming, and playing chess with his two grandsons.

Meryl joined our practice in January of 2020 as our office manager. She is originally from the East Coast and has made California her home for many years. Having been an office manager for over 20 years Meryl has brought her expertise to create a great working environment. She truly enjoys interacting with and taking care of our patients needs. In her free time, Meryl enjoys cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Marion joined our practice in 2003 and has been Dr. Solnit's right (and left) arm ever since. She assists Dr. Solnit chairside and coordinates the back office. Marion loves her job because she gets to work with smiling faces every day.
Connie joined our practice in 2008 as one of our registered dental hygienists. She is responsible for scaling and root planing, oral hygiene, radiographs, and oral cancer screenings. She enjoys providing the best care to her patients as well as making sure they feel comfortable in the office. Connie graduated from University of Pittsburgh Dental Hygiene Program in 2000. She has also volunteered on a cleft palate medical trip to Ecuador with the University of Massachusetts in 2005.
Although Darlene has been in the dental field since 1984 and joined our practice in 2008. Darlene is responsible for oral health prevention, including but not limited to cleanings, X-rays, fluoride treatments, and patient education.
Karen has been with our practice since 2000. Her job duties include oral exams and cancer screenings, scaling and root planing, polishing, and much more. She is also responsible for educating patients on how to properly care for their teeth. Karen has been a clinical instructor in the periodontal department at USC for over 20 years.
Yasmin joined our practice in 2020. She graduated from the University of Southern Californias dental hygiene program in 1998. She was a former Dental Hygiene part time faculty at USC's dental hygiene and dental clinic. For many years, Yasmin has traveled with her former USC professor educating dental hygienists, dentists and periodontists in Advanced Periodontal Instrumentation. She loves being a dental hygienist and seeing fruits of her labor.
She has expertise in oral cancer screenings, dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, perioscopy, laser certification, administration of local anesthesia, nitrous, x-rays and oral hygiene instructions.
