Dr. Gary Davis obtained his DDS from Georgeotwn University in 1988 and practiced as an associate in Laurel, Maryland before purchasing this practice in 1990 from Dr. Ramsey Mackenzie. Dr. Davis also received his BS in Biology at Albright College in Reading, Pa in 1984.
Dr. Davis is very active in the community, in the U.S., and internationally. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Shippensburg, where he has served as President (3 times!), Foundation Chair, Treasurer, the Rotary Exchange Student Coordinator and the Chair of the Building Committee for the recently constructed Shippensburg Station at the Rails-to-Trails trailhead in Shippensburg.
Dr. Davis is also active in the Pennsylvania Dental Association where he currently sits as active President! Previously he served as Secretary and Delegate as well as being active in the ADA- in the American Dental Association he served as the Chair of the Council on Access, Prevention, and Interprofessional Relations.
Dr. Davis is the General Chair and one of the founders of MOM-n-PA dental mission which treats the underserved in Pennsylvania. MOM-n-PA, which has donated over 5 million dollars of dental services, will host their 7th annual mission this year in Wilkes Barre, Pa!
Dr. Davis values continuing education and coaching to consistently improve his clinical and management acumen. He has taken the Pankey Continuum as well as countless individual courses over the years, far exceeding the minimum requirements of the State Board of Dentistry.
Dr. Davis believes that it is important to serve others and to be a good role model for his children and for others. Dr. Davis has coached basketball, volleyball, baseball and soccer in several local youth athletic leagues. Dr. Davis also loves spending time with his family, reading, exercising and playing golf with his friends.
Hygienists are our preventative front for your teeth. They are responsible for cleaning your teeth, taking x-rays, placing sealants, and varnish to protect your teeth from decay. They work out of the two back rooms at the dental office.
