Along with my staff, I have an unwavering desire to meet my patients' needs in a friendly, professional, and compassionate manner.Each day I come in to work, I have the opportunity to enhance the lives of my patients by providing high-quality, advanced dental care. Dentistry can have such an impact on people's lives. The smiles that are enhanced in my patients of all ages, and knowing something new potentially confronts me every day, makes this profession perpetually exciting.
I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Loyola University School of Dentistry and continue my education to this day. I understand that the field of dentistry is ever-changing, and I always want to improve upon my knowledge. To that end, I am involved in continuing education programs through the Pankey Institute the Dr. David Hornbrook Group, Nobel Biocare, Implant Inovations, and Bio Horizons Implant Systems.
I am originally from Hammond, IN, and have lived in Arlington Heights, IL for over 25 years. My wife, Mary-Beth, and I have four children, Robert, Sarah, John, and Megan. In addition to coaching my children's sporting teams, I also enjoy listening to Jazz music.

The entire team worked to schedule me in on a Friday with a cracked tooth. The hygienist was very friendly and informative, even working after the office closed. DSS Balas has provided great service to my family and myself for decades.

Dr. Balas is always amazing!!!! Friendly, funny and constantly keeps me informed of what is going on in regards to any procedure I am having done. I've only had 5 dentists in my lifetime and Dr. Balas is the best!!!!!

Dr.Balas is a class act, professional, conscience, listens to his patient's. Dr. Balas staff is awesome, friendly, personable, professional and very easy to talk with. I'd recommend any of them to deal with.

Best denist around! Staff is awesome too!!! Thank you. Very clean and accommodating. Doesn't do work that is not needed. Would highly recommend. I may be shooting myself in the foot and he will get busier and I won't be able to get in.

Nobody enjoys going to the dentist but the staff at Dr Balas's office makes it as painless as possible. The staff is always professional and friendly. Dr. Balas is great at keeping you informed about what he is doing.
