As an upbeat and charismatic leader, all her past clinical and research experiences with vulnerable populations have given her the leverage to provide and ensure an exceptional level of care is provided by her team. Dr Becerra has dedicated her career to improve dental care of seniors. She has a very caring nature and passion for seniors and for all aspects of dentistry and patient well-being.

Dr. Becerra has been a co-author on several papers and has participated in various medical research projects. In 2008, she earned the American Dental Association scholarship and received the Diversity in Leadership award, chosen as one of 12 elite dentists in the country selected to receive additional training. She is a past president of the Hispanic Dental Association of San Diego, has served as a board member of the California Dental Association Foundation, and she is currently a board member of the San Diego Mesa College dental assisting program.

In her spare time, she loves karaoke, travelling and spending time with her family in their Lake Hodges home in North County San Diego. As the CEO/Dental Director of our Senior Dental Center, she looks forward to making sure every single one of our patients and their families is provided with an exceptional dental experience that will help improve everyones quality of life one smile at a time.

She is extremely passionate about dentistry and enjoys being able to help her patients. She has extensive teaching experience in her specialty having been a tenured faculty at the University of Pennsylvanias School of Dental Medicine (UPSDM) for 20 years where she was engaged in private practice, and critical research projects. She currently holds the distinction of Emeritus Standing Faculty from the UPSDM. She has been widely published with over 32 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals in the areas of prosthodontics, implant dentistry and advanced restorative dentistry and dental education. During her career, she has received major Prosthodontic awards at both national and local levels in recognition for her excellence in patient care and research.

She holds a B.A. from Smith College, a D.M.D. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, a Certificate in Prosthodontics as well as a M.S. in Oral Biology for her work in Implant Dentistry from Temple Universitys Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry.
