I have an interest in integrating technology with Orthodontics, in order to make treatment more convenient, efficient and predictable. Having previously worked as a Mechanical Engineer, I am excited to see some of the technologies such as 3D scanning, computer aided design, and rapid prototyping being brought over recently to the Orthodontic field.

As mentioned, Dr. Lim started his professional career as a Mechanical Engineer. He decided to change careers because he was seeking a career with more personal interaction that would allow him to utilize the commonalities between engineering and dentistry. Utilizing his aptitude for science is of high interest for Dr. Lim
