Dr. Johnson along with his young family are thrilled about living in Chico. He received his degree from the University of the Pacific school of dentistry, graduating in 2004. Dr. Johnsons commitment to excellence is evident in his dedicated attendance to advanced continuing education courses, dental symposiums, as well as spending many hours researching the latest techniques available. Dr. Johnson is also fluent in Spanish.
Debbie is the veteran employee of the office, having been Dr. Johnson's hygienist now for over 30 years. Debbie is the sweetest person you will ever meet, and this is evident in the caring and gentle way she treats everyone she sees. Debbie spends much of her time researching the latest hygiene products that will help you as an individual achieve the home care program best for you. She received her RDH license from Foothill College in Los Altos. Debbie is also licensed to administer anesthetic as well as being certified in category II laser treatment. When Debbie is not at work, she keeps very busy. Spending her time working out, cooking, grooming their walnut orchard and being a Grammy to her two grandbabies.
Tianna, or Ty, is part of our fabulous assistant team, and has been working with Dr. Johnson since 2008. She is a local girl, having grown up right around the corner in Corning. Ty completed her education through Butte County Regional Occupational Program and has been assisting ever since. Ty loves to help our patients receive their dental treatment in an efficient, professional, and caring manner. When Ty is not sitting chairside with Dr. Johnson, she is occupying her time enjoying the outdoors, on the soccer field with her two girls and her husband.
Jen joined the team in 2016. She graduated from Shasta College Dental Hygiene program in 2008. Prior to becoming a hygienist, Jen worked as an assistant and been in the dental field for over 20 years. She also holds a B.S. degree in biological science from CSU, Chico.Jen truly cares for every patient and and seeks to provide the best treatment possible for a healthy mouth and beautiful smile.When not in the office, Jen loves spending time her husband and little girl. She enjoys the outdoors,nature and being on the golf course whenever she can!
Shelly has been involved in dentistry for more than 30 years. Shelly joined our team in 2017 as our insurance guru. At the front desk, she enjoys talking with our patients and learning about what is going on in their lives. Shelly was born and raised in Napa, CA prior to moving to the area with her husband Bill. When shes not at the office Shelly enjoys volunteering at her church, working alongside her husband in their large garden, researching family genealogy, and calligraphy. Shelly is an active member of the Daughters of The American Revolution, both on the local and State level.
Beth joined Dr. Johnsons team in 2017. A graduate of the Shasta College Dental Hygiene program in Redding, California, Beth has a genuine desire to know her patients and understand their needs and priorities in regards to oral health. Her welcoming smile and personality help patients to feel comfortable and at ease with their treatment. A Chico native, Beth feels blessed to have had the opportunity to grow up in such a wonderful community. Beth met her husband while they were attending Chico State and they have been married for almost 15 years. They have been blessed with two boys, Josh and Jake. Beth loves spending time outdoors with her family exploring Bidwell Park, taking hikes, and enjoying bike rides together.
Jill is the second half of our fabulous assistant team and has been with Dr. Johnson since early 2019. Jill is a native of this area, having grown up in Orland, her roots run deep. Jill received her RDA license in 2002 from Butte County Regional Occupational Program. She has a tremendous amount of dental knowledge and is dedicated to helping patients on their journey to find their perfect smile. Jill loves to spend her free time riding dirt bikes, and watching her son wrestle and daughter play soccer.
Danielle is a part of our dynamic hygiene team. She has been spreading her laughter throughout our office since 2014. When you meet Danielle, you will instantly feel her love, her enthusiasm and you will become a part of her extended family. Danielle was born and raised in Indiana and received her hygiene degree in 1999 from Indiana University. Danielle and her husband left Indiana in 2000 to raise their 3 kids in sunny California. If Danielle isnt cleaning teeth, she has her toes in the sand watching her youngest daughter playing beach volleyball, on the sideline of her sons football game or cheering on her oldest daughter playing volleyball at the collegiate level.

I had not been to the dentist for a cleaning in over 15 years. Beth was amazingly meticulous as she cleaned my teeth and made the experience so incredibly easy for me. I highly recommend their office!

Gary Johnson's dentist office was very clean. They offer water and juice and snacks which is nice. the staff was very professional, Friendly and caring. They made the visit to the dentist a little easier. They have the latest technology which was impressive.

Family dentistry!! I love this place, everyone in this office has become like family to my son and I from Shelly at the front desk to Dr. Gary Johnson himself. Everyone is so friendly and caring whenever I come in and they always give my son a bunch of treats when he comes in. I strongly recommend going here.

I had been suffering for sometime with an infected root canal tooth. It was my first time seeing Dr. Johnson and his wonderful staff. Everyone was accommodating and made me feel comfortable even though I was in pain. They don't usually pull a tooth the same day of your first visit but they made an exception at my pleading. It was a bit of a complicated extraction but Jill and Dr. Johnson did a fabulous job and informed me of what was going on every step of the way which comforted me. We have a plan to move forward with a few needed implants that I'm looking forward to fulfilling. This is a five star establishment and they earn it. I'm looking forward To a long-standing relationship with my new dentist and staff. Thanks again, Sherry

I had the most amazing experience at Dr Johnson's office today. I go to the dentist infrequently because it's usually painful. But today I went to Dr Johnson and it was great. I had a cleaning as well by Danielle, she had a lot of work to do because it had been so long. She was truly great, explaining every step and she was very in tune with how I was doing. Thank you so much! Everyone from the front office to Dr Johnson are very nice. Excellent customer service. By the way, I LOVE my new cup!

In the past I have always hated going to the dentist. Although, ever since I started going to Dr. Gary Johnson it has been an experience I look forward to, and my teeth have never looked better! I recently fractured a tooth from an old root canal, which was the most pain that I have ever experienced. Dr. Johnson was able to fit me in quickly and extract the tooth. ***Dr. Johnson is the only person in the world that can make a tooth extraction a pleasant experience.*** He also contacted me the next day to make sure I was doing okay. He and his staff are the best dental office in the world. They are amazing! *** UPDATE: I have sense moved out of state, and I still make a point to fly back to Dr. Johnson in California for all of my major dental needs.

I am so comfortable coming to Dr. Johnson's office. My hygienist, Debbie, is wonderful and Dr Johnson Is excellent. I've never felt discomfort during any procedure. They're all great!!!!
