Dr. Sabbadini (or Dr. Gary as the children call him) graduated from UC Berkeley in 1992 with a degree in English and received his dental degree in 1995 from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry (now the Dugoni School of Dentistry) where he earned the American Society of Dentistry for Children award for excellence in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Sabbadini completed a two year specialty training program in pediatric dentistry at Childrens Hospital in Cincinnati, OH where he served as Chief Resident his second year. Prior to beginning this practice in 1999, Dr. Sabbadini practiced in San Diego for two years.
Dr. Sabbadini holds an oral conscious sedation permit and has been practicing interceptive and comprehensive orthodonticssince 2004. While most of his patients can be safely treated with the classic Tell-Show-Do method andnitrous oxide/oxygen (laughing gas), he also offers oral conscious sedation and in office IV sedation with Dr. Tom Lenhart, a dental anesthesiologist at Bay Area Anesthesia www.BayAreaAnesthesia.com.
Dr. Sabbadini and his wife, Julie, have three children (Amy, Olivia, and Jason).He enjoys travelling withhis family, reading, weight lifting, white water rafting, skiing, hiking, spin biking, attending music concertsand is especially passionate about Cal football and basketball.
I love a pretty and healthy smile which is one of the reasons I attended Baldy View Regional Occupational Program for Certified Dental Assisting while I was a senior in high school and then continued my dental education through the SCROC UCLA program in Los Angeles where I received my RDA license. With over 20 years of experience, I'm proficient in dental assisting, training staff, processing insurance, arranging financials, and a myriad of day to day duties in a dental practice. I am bilingual in English and Spanish andtruly enjoy helping others meet their dental health needs in a honest and caring manner. When patients feel good about their smile, I feel good! When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, barbecuing, camping, hiking, biking, and refinishing old furniture. I also enjoy spontaneous weekend trips and traveling to warm places with a nice beach.
I am an East Bay native and have lived in El Cerrito all my life. I received my RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) degree from Contra Costa College in 1991. I have been working with Dr. Sabbadini since 2000 and I must say I love it. Every day is full of surprises! I enjoy working with children and being able to help them view dentistry in a positive light. When I'm not working, I enjoy gardening, travel, shopping, working out, and spending time with family and friends. I am also a certified scuba diver and would love to be able to swim with a sea otter someday!
I received my Registered Dental Assistant licensein 2018. Ive always known I wanted to work with children just didnt know exactly in what aspect. It brings me so much joy that even when I thought I was going down a different path, I still ended up right where Ive always wanted to be. My daily goal is to give children a positive dental experience that will carry oninto adulthood.
I have two little wild boys of my own, who regularly keep me on my toes. In my free time, I enjoy outings with family & friends whether its at the beach or a park. I also enjoy being active in my church however they need me. Reading & doing puzzles are calming activities that I absolutely love when its quite enough.
I was born and raised in Richmond and have been working in the dental field for the past 20 years. Ive enjoyed seeing familiar faces and smiles come into our office since 2019. I spend my free time with my four children and grandson taking walks and other family activities. I look forward to meeting you and your children.

I love this place my daughter and granddaughter both go here my daughter has 5 years going here and I love it the way both the staff and doctor take so much care of there patients and the place is so clean . I highly recommend it to everyone friends and family members!!!!!!!

Entire staff is always pleasant. Mr. Sabbadini always answers any questions I may have and explains to Kids the importance of taking good care of their teeth and gums.

If you are looking for a dentist, Dr. Sabbadini is your guy. Not only will you receive a great dentist, you will also come in contact with a great bunch of staff that are equally welcoming and keep the office looking fantastic with holiday decorations. My family has gone to Dr. Sabbadini for roughly 9 years and we are completely satisfied.

I have brought my 2 daughters to Dr. Sabadini's office since they both were infants until now, around 18 yrs lifespan. That would say it all why we keep coming back. Office cleanliness, treatment, and spot-on treatment recommendation from Dr. Sabadini. I would highly recommend Dr. Sabadini to any one with young children.

We've been going to Dr. Sabbadini for 2.5 years. He's wonderful with our young son and always provides a thorough checkup and assessment of our son's oral health. The office is super kid friendly and our son never complains about going to the dentist. Highly recommend this practice!

Great and friendly staff! Daughter got two teeth extracted and Dr. Sabbadini did it quick and painless. My daughter said it didn't hurt, only felt some wiggling.

Dr. Sabbadini is very nice and gentle with kid. He explained clearly about problems of my granddaughter's teeth and how would he taking care of it. The office staffs are very nice and friendly. The office is very clean. I would recommend him for anyone who's looking for pediatric dentist in this area.

Receptionist are unprofessional and rude , they are also the ones who reply to the reviews on here which is obvious. They cant answer simple questions without giving attitude these services aren't free we pay good money for service. In person and on the phone they are the same way, if you don't like you're job and you're as un happy as you seem get a new one LEARN some manners and change you're tones you're only a receptionist nothing more

I have had three experiences prompting me to now write this review and find a new dentist. All involving the staff at reception. 1. When the pandemic began I missed my sons appointment. I informed them we were sick and they insisted I pay a $50 fee. 2. The reception called me with an appointment reminder for "tomorrow" and literally said "Wednesday" which my husband heard and I showed up and she insisted she said "Thursday" which she definitely did not. And I've never in my life heard of a 48 hour reminder. 3. My son has ASD which non of the staff ever remembers who he is and he never works with the same person or is spoken to in a friendly manner. Children with ASD are extremely sensitive. This staff is outright rude, unprofessional, unorganized, and I will no longer do business with them.
