Dr. Michael Gershanok and Dr. Lila Nikkhah believe dental care is part of overall health, and should not be viewed as a separate entity. The Doctors are both members of the North East Gnathological Society, The 9th district dental society (where Dr. Gershanok is a member of Educational Committee), and ADA, attend national and international lectures and trainingto stay ahead of the curve by bringing their patients advanced studies and the latest treatments, employing state of the art technology.
From the beginning, they adopted the principles of utilizing the latest technologies for the benefits of the patients. The practice has been amalgam (silver fillings) Free since 1994. They were among the first to switch to Digital X-Rays in1996 as well Digital Panoramic X-Rays a few years later, and chart systems fully computerized and paper free soon after. They were among the very few offices in the country to introduce achairside surgical microscope for general dental procedures as well as root canal treatments more than 15 years ago. They continue to stay on the cusp of the technology utilizing the Cone beam CT Scan 3D imaging and Intraoral 3D Scanners, are trained and certified in using Lasers for the Periodontal (gum) treatments (LANAP).That greatly helps to better diagnose, plan, improve the outcomes and enhance experiences for patients in the practice, undergoing treatments in all aspects of dentistry.
Doctors offer placements of implants, conservative and surgical periodontal (gum) treatments, extractions including wisdom teeth removal, root canal treatments, a full range of restorative rehabilitations using full ceramic (metal free) restorations, tooth-colored fillings, bleaching as well as TMJ and and Sleep Apnea appliances to provide the most comprehensive dental care for the entire family, including children.

The cleaning was painful but it probably was worth it. I think the cleaning made my teeth cleaner than any previous cleaning I've received. The filling of teeth tissue was done perfectly. The more recent appointments, particularly yesterday, were excellent

Today Dr. Nikkhah inserted a new crown. The crown has a comfortable fit and bite. She took great care during the fitting for the temporary crown and the final crown. I am very pleased that I chose this practice when I moved into the area. Two fillings and now the crown.

My right jaw was very sore and I couldn't open my mouth enough to eat without pain. My GP recommended consulting my dentist before going to an ENT specialist. Dr. Nikkhah kindly found space in her schedule the same day, saw that my jaw needed realigning to correct the bite, did some adjustment and then suggested heat compresses, Advil/Ibuprofen, not opening my mouth too wide and not biting anything hard. I felt some improvement almost immediately.
