Dr. Garrison grew up in the Northland and attended William Jewell College for his undergraduate studies, before obtaining his dental degree from theUniversity of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. He has practiced dentistry here in Smithville since 1996 and has always been committed to providing the most comprehensive dental care possible.He strives to remain up to date on the latest dental procedures and techniques with continuing education classes. He is an active member of the esteemedSpear Study Club,past president of theUniversity Study Club of Kansas City, and past president of the Clay-Platte Dental Society. He currently serves as a trustee on the board of theLiberty Hospital Foundation. His other professional memberships include the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, and Greater Kansas City Dental Association.
Dr. Garrison and his wife, Kay, are the proud parents of fourkids: daughters Paige, Blair, and Blake, and son Tate. He enjoys music and plays guitar and piano.He loves andhas coached lots ofsports, including competitive swimming, basketball, soccer, and baseball. He is also active in his church and enjoys hunting, fishing, swimming, and tennis.
Dr. Becknell is originally from Southeast Kansas and graduated from Pittsburg State University. After completing her undergraduate education, she earned her dental degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. After graduation, she completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Truman Medical Center, where she was able to advance her current skills and learn new skills. She remained in the hospital setting for a few more years before going into private practice.Her professional memberships include the American Dental Association and Missouri Dental Association.

Angela has been assisting for us since 2004. Her favorite things about working here are the fun atmosphere, amazing patients, and her coworkers. During her time off, she enjoys going to her childrens sporting events, horseback riding, and spending quality time with her family.
Annalisa is bilingual and has worked as a dental assistant since 1995. She became a valued team member of the Garrison team in 2014. The thing she loves most about working in the dental field is helping patients feel more at ease with their treatment. Annalisa is a foodie who loves spending time with her family.
Amanda joined the Garrison Family Dentistry team in 2014 and enjoys working here because of our fabulous patients and staff. She is a country girl at heart who loves to hunt, fish, camp, and spend time with her fur baby, Riley.
Ashley earned her bachelors degree in dental hygiene from Wichita State University and joined the Garrison team in 2018.In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, showing horses, running, hunting, and doing DIY projects with her fianc, Kyle.
Ambrie has been employed at Garrison Family Dentistry since 2012. She attended Northwest Missouri State University and earned her dental hygiene degree through Hilliard Technical School and North Central Missouri College. In her leisure time, she enjoys playing on their farm with her three boys and husband Travis.
Amanda earned a bachelors degree in dental hygiene from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). She has been part of the Garrison team since 2012. In her free time, she enjoys boxing, running, and spending time with her husband, Noah, and their two daughters.
Becky joined the Garrison Family Dentistry team in 1998. She loves her job because she enjoys making a positive impact on her patients lives. Outside of work, you can find her gardening, spending time with her husband and children, or scrapbooking!
Hali started working the front desk at Garrison Family Dentistry in 2019. She loves her coworkers and building relationships with patients. When she is not at work, she enjoys going to the gym, hanging out with her husband Wes and cat Craig, and spending time with her friends and family.
Amanda graduated from Penn Valley and UMKC in 2016 with her CDA. She has since been a dental assistant until 2020, when she joined the Garrison team working the front desk. In her free time she enjoys crafting, concerts, and spending time with her husband Austin and fur babies Gus and Merle.
