My interest in dentistry began as a young boy. At an early age I was inspired by my grandfather who was known as a perfectionist in his field. He worked as a dental technician for over 50 years. While dentistry is very technical and ever changing with new technology and materials, I believe the most important component to our practice is the relationship we build with our patients. Dentistry is really about people first. A successful outcome for me is a happy patient that Ive been able to help along the path to optimum health. I believe the mouth is the window to the body. If the mouth is healthy, its far more likely that our body will be as well. I feel privileged to be able to assist others to achieve better health.
Dr. Garr received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He brings extensive experience in all aspects of state-of-the-art dental medicine after having practiced in Salt Lake City and Ogden, Utah, prior to coming to Carrington, ND.
Dr. Garr is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Dakota Dental Association. He is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and The Crown Council, a prestigious alliance of leading-edge dentists around the world.
Having lived in Guadalajara Mexico and becoming fluent in Spanish, he has been able to provide dentistry in various parts of the world. He participated for three years on humanitarian projects providing dental care to underserved people of the Dominican Republic. Dr. Garrs detail oriented yet gentle style creates a comfortable atmosphere patients can appreciate.
My interest in dentistry started at a young age when I would plead with my mother to let me work on her teeth. Of course she was always a good sport, which helped cultivate my love for the profession of dentistry. My goal with every patient encounter is to develop a relationship and a smile that will last a lifetime. The mouth is so important to our overall health and with the cutting edge technology at Garr Dental combined with modern techniques; my patients will leave with a healthy smile. I enjoy working with all ages and Garr Dental allows me to do just that. I am so grateful to be able to serve the Carrington community and surrounding areas.
Dr. Kali grew up on a farm near Sykeston, ND where she attended school until 7th grade and then graduated from Carrington High School. She attended the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND and graduated in 2014 with a major in biology and minored in chemistry. In 2018, she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in Aurora, CO. She is part of the ND Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.
Ashley | Ashley grew up in Sykeston, ND where she attended school till the 8th grade than transferred to Carrington High School and remained there till graduation. After high school, Ashley attended college for about a year at Moorhead Tech. Ashley managed space Aliens in Fargo for 3 years then moved to Bismarck and worked at Ground round till she decided to move back to Carrington with her daughter Hadley. In August of 2015, Ashley joined the Garr Dental team. January 2020, was promoted to Office Manager.
Jade | Jade grew up in Mayville, ND where she graduated from May-Port CG High School. She attended college at NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND, and obtained degrees in dental assisting and dental hygiene. She moved to Carrington in 2006 with her husband where she pursued her career as a dental hygienist. She has been working with Dr. Garr since 2011.
Rachel | Rachel grew up in Carrington, ND. She graduated from Carrington High School. She attended college at NDSCS in Wahpeton and obtained her degrees in dental assisting and dental hygiene. She returned to Carrington and started her career as a dental assistant and eventually to a dental hygienist. She has been with Dr. Garr since he started full time in October 2011.
Karisa | Karisa grew up in Washburn, ND and graduated from Washburn High School. She then attended college at the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND where she obtained her degree in dental hygiene. She moved to Carrington in 2018 with her husband who grew up there, to pursue her career as a dental hygienist.
Lanetta | Lanetta grew up near Crookston, MN. She graduated from Crookston High School in 2003. She attended college at Hennepin Technical College in Brooklyn Park, MN, and obtained her degree in Dental Assisting in 2004.
She and her husband Nathan have a daughter Kensington, and a son Kameron. They moved to Cooperstown in August of 2017. She has been working at Garr Dental Center since December 2017. In her spare time, she likes to bake and spend time with her family.
Amber | Amber grew up in Carrington, ND. She graduated from Carrington High school in 2000. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Fargo where she started working at Gate City Bank as a teller. After a year of working at Gate City Bank, she was recruited by a friend to join the Title company where they handled the legal paperwork for buying, selling, or refinancing a home. Amber made The Title Company home for 17 years. She has been working for Dr. Garr and the staff since June of 2019.
Amber and her husband, Jeremy, moved back to Carrington in 2019 with their two daughters, Kenedy and Brinley, to be closer to family. In their spare time, they enjoy family time, being outdoors, boating, fishing, and swimming.
Jacey I grew up in Carrington, ND, and graduated from Carrington High School in 2017. I moved to Fargo after graduating high school and attended Moorhead State Community and Technical College in Moorhead where I got my degree in Dental Assisting and graduated in 2019. I worked in an orthodontic office in Fargo before moving back to Carrington in June 2020. In my free time, I enjoy horseriding, playing with my dog, working out, and reading!
Brooke grew up in Jamestown, ND. She graduated from Jamestown High School. After high school, she moved to Aberdeen, SD where she attended Rasmussen and obtained her Associates of Applied Science degree in Medical Administration. While in Aberdeen, she got her first job at a dental office and loved it! Her first love at the dental office started at the front desk, but as the years progressed, she obtained her Dental Assistant License. She has been working with Dr. Garr since 2012.
Amy grew up near Kindred, ND, and graduated from Kindred High School. After graduation, she attended Minnesota State University Moorhead for 3 years. In 2012, Amy transferred to Lake Region State College in Devils Lake, ND, and obtained a degree in Early Childhood Education. She was employed at CCCC Head Start in Fort Totten for 5 years and worked as both a pre-k teacher and administrative assistant during her time there. Amy joined Dr. Garr and his team full-time as a dental assistant in January 2020.
Amy resides in Sheyenne, ND with her husband, Andrew, and two fur-babies, Remi and Jaycee. In their spare time, they enjoy spending time on the family farm, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family.
