There are a ton of orthodontists in town, and even some dentists who havent been trained as orthodontistsbut offer treatment. There are lots of factors to consider in choosing an orthodontist. We believe that one of the most important should be whetheror not they are board certified.
A board certified orthodontist is an orthodontist who has voluntarily gone through hundreds of additional hours of preparation to demonstrate their judgment, skills, and knowledge required for providing the highest level of patient care. And they have achieved board certification through the American Board of Orthodontics, the only orthodontics specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association and in affiliation with the American Association of Orthodontists.
A board certified orthodontist is committed to thehighest level of patient care including a comprehensive treatment approach to ensure quality work. And board certified orthodontists must renew their certification every 10 years to demonstrate their continuous commitment to excellence.
No, there are not. In fact here in the Valley of the Sun, there are very few. Were talking less than 30% of the orthodontists in town are board certified. But guess who is conveniently located in Mesa, Queen Creek and the Gilbert/Chandler area and is board certified: these guys!
It really does. Your smile is forever. An orthodontic treatment gone wrong could prolong treatment, be more painful than necessary, cause you to lose teeth unnecessarily, permanently damage your bite and cause other complications such as TMJ or premature wear and tear on your teeth.

We love Garn and Mason! We've taken all three of our children here and couldn't be happier with their perfect smiles! The Drs are meticulous and perfectionists and the results speak for themselves! The Drs and staff are so knowledgeable and friendly, I'll miss coming in and seeing everyone and chatting! Thank you Dr Garn and Dr Mason and the staff at the Queen Creek location!

Garn and Mason Orthodontics is Absolutely Phonomial! After having braces as a teenager and a not so great experience, I worked up the courage to schedule a consult. I met with Dr. Mason and he went over my concerns and came up with a treatment plan that was perfect for my situation. He made me feel confident in my decision to try braces again so I could attain my perfect smile. I haven't smiled with my teeth in so many years and now I feel hope to do so again someday! The staff is amazing, from the front desk to Dr. Mason himself. Rebecca, Teena, Jasmine and Taylor were all so helpful and so nice through each step of the process. I am very grateful to be a part of such a great place and look forward to all of my future appointments. If you are on the fence about orthodontic treatment, don't wait! You will not be disappointed. This is the best place to be!

I've had three of my kids receive treatment here. Dr Garn and Dr Mason have both been great! They are always kind and gentle with the kids. The front desk is also very helpful!

We love Garn & Mason so much! Both our boys are patients and what a difference these doc have made! Staff is friendly and super supportive along the way esp. with our shy younger one one just got through phase I!! Amazing practice!

Katie started her orthodontic journey 7 years ago. After tooth extraction, braces, headgear, retainers, bands, expanders and 2 gums surgeries we have finally reached the BIG day: removal of the Phase 2 braces! Garn & Mason have been so incredible, not only with how beautiful her teeth look, but their candor, approachability, kindness and care. The entire experience was positive, this group comes with my highest recommendation!

My son starting going to Garn & Mason in 2016 and I decided to also get braces in 2020. My son had two rounds of braces and we couldn't be happier with the results. The staff is always happy to see all their patients and Dr Garn and Dr Mason are always positive and take their time to make sure to answer any and all questions. You always feel welcome! Highly recommend if you want to improve your smile and mental health

We have been at every Garn and Mason office and in every single office, my daughter has received the same excellent service. We have been at the chandler office for most of the orthodontist visits but you will not be disappointed with any office you are close to. Her smile is so beautiful and it is amazing how two years of Invisalign has changed her mouth. I cannot thank garn and mason enough for such an awesome experience.

I absolutely have loved my experience here with Garn and Mason Orthodontics!! My son got his braces off today and I could not be more pleased with the results!!! My daughter comes here as well! I am actually a patient myself from my jr high/high school years - way back when -as well, and I can't say enough good things about them! So grateful for their excellent customer service, knowledge and great care by the staff and doctors that they've shown me and especially my two kids! Thank you Dr. Mason and Dr. Garn! I have had multiple family members coming here for the last 22 years (myself included and now my children), and we have all absolutely loved our experience with Drs. Garn and Mason. And anything that needed to be addressed was done so with great care and professionalism. They want what is best for their patients and will give you honest feedback and they will do things the right way, not the easy/fastest route, but the right route. No shortcuts. I appreciate that and their careful attention to detail. A big Shout out to Dr Mason that just removed my sons phase 1 expander and braces, the 16th in our family to walk out of here with a healthy palate that can fit his beautiful smile! We absolutely LOVE Garn and Mason orthodontics! The entire staff goes above and beyond at every appointment. Our oldest was scared as a result from a prior experience at a different orthodontist, and within the first appointment they had him at complete ease. He is undergoing phase one and actually looks forward to his appointments! Our youngest is also a patient and is seen every 6 months for monitoring should he also need two phases (so far so good). We cannot recommend them enough!!

Great staff. Very friendly and easy to talk to. Almost always on time and the ine time they weren't they gave me a gift card to compensate for lost time. Any issues I had were resolved same day. Teeth look great and overall a comfortable experience. Great job team.

We love Garn and Mason Orthodontics! Both my boys have braces and their teeth look so good, I decided to get braces for myself. Sometimes when my kids are talking to me, I catch a glimpse of their teeth and I find myself thinking WOW! My other child had braces when we lived in another state and they look great, but I feel that G&M goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. Regarding the staff, I haven't experienced a second of rudeness from anyone, front desk or in the back. I am very happy my family went with G&M.
