Born and raised in the state of Washington, Dr. Gardner grew up in a small farming town where he was very active in the community. After high school, Dr. Gardner attended Gonzaga University with an academic scholarship and earned his Bachelor of Science degree while graduating with high honors and being awarded Summa Cum Laudestatus. Dr.Gardner continued his education at Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry where he recieved his DMD degree (Doctor of Dental Medicine) and was honored for his academic excellence through numerous awards and membership to the prestigious Omnicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society. Dr. Gardner's training was completed at the Oregon Health Sciences University Orthodontic Specialty Program where he earned his certification in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics

Dr. Gardner is a member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, Mount Baker Dental Society, American Association of Orthodontics, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics. Washington State Society of Orthodontist, American Board of Orthodontics, and the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Gardner regularly attends continuing education seminars to keep current on the latest technologies and treatment techniques, and he participates in an orthodontic study club with colleagues

As a board certified orthodontic specialist, Dr. Gardner has the advanced training and special skills required to manage tooth movement and guide facial development. He is dedicated to providing excellent orthodontic treatment through quality service and technical expertise

Dr. Gardner puts a priority on our community, and he and his entire team are involved in many efforts to support various civic organizations,local schools, and youth activities in Skagit County and Island County. Dr. Gardner and his entire team participate in and support community events in Mount Vernon, Burlington, Sedro-Woolley, Anacortes, Stanwood, Oak Harbor, and Coupeville (and more). In addition, Dr. Gardner regularly attends events to help support Seattle's Children's Hospital
