Joining Dr. Markway and Dr. Haworth in providing an exceptional experience to all our patients, is our friendly and skilled staff. It includes seven hygienists and four dental assistants. And, our entire clinical team is supported by our five-person front office team that handles everything from scheduling to insurance and billing questions.
Beth is originally from Pittsburgh, PA. She has a bachelors degree in dental hygiene and a masters in dental hygiene education. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team, promoting good oral health through dental cleanings, treatment planning, periodontal care, and patient education. She loves the one-on-one and educational aspects of her career, and enjoys learning new techniques. Her hobbies include quilting, camping, reading, and gardening.
Originally from Independence, MO, Emily helps us create healthy smiles through attentive cleanings and patient education. Thanks to her energetic personality, she has become friends with many of our patients over the years. She looks forward to seeing them for regular visits and enjoys hearing about their lives. Emily has a son and a Schnauzer and enjoys traveling and watching her favorite reality shows.
Natalie has been working in the dental field since her junior year of school, gaining years of experiencing in the intervening years. She loves meeting new people and helping them transform their oral health and wellbeing. Natalie is married and helps her husband lead music at Grace Community Church in Spring Hill. Her hobbies are crafting, shopping and spending time with her family, including her four siblings.
Originally from Sublette, KS, Tonya joined our team with her Bachelor of Science degree and her associates degree in Dental Hygiene from Colby Community College. Including her time in school, she has been a hygienist for 10 years. Her easy-going personality and experience in her field make her an invaluable addition to our team. Tonya has two sons: Kaleb is 21 and in the Army Reserves and Cody, 19, is in his second year of college. Outside of work, Tonya enjoys spending time with her boys, their Dog (Daisy), reading, and spending time with friends.
A native of Missouri, Dr. Markway is devoted to his two daughters, Jillian and Jaclyn. When hes not playing taxi-dad, shuffling the girls between volleyball and gymnastics, he loves hiking and anything that allows him to be outdoors. He also enjoys trying out new restaurants; particularly those specializing in Korean or Japanese fare.
While he is known among his patients for his cheerful and positive personality, he is very serious about delivering the highest level of clinical care to every patient. He earned his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Missouri before receiving his dental degree from the UMKC School of Dentistry in 2001. And, he has continued to be an active participant in continuing education programs ever since.
Dr. Markway practiced for several years in Lawrence, before coming to Gardner, KS where he has been practicing since 2004. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Kansas Dental Association and the International Dental Implant Association. In addition, he is certified to provide conscious sedation (help you relax) and create beautiful, straight smiles with Invisalign and Clear Correct. At the end of the day, he loves to play a part in improving peoples confidence by creating beautiful smiles.
Having grown up in Hays, KS, Dr. Haworth brings a strong sense of small-town values to everything he does. This starts with his commitment to family and his wife of 13 years. Together, they enjoy raising their two, young boys. This keeps him busy with the 3 bs -- basketball, Boy Scouts and baseball. He enjoys taking family vacations to the beach and snorkeling. On a recent trip he adventured an attempt at surfing, but suffice to say his surfing skills still need a little refinement. He is an avid KU fan (Rock Chalk Jayhawk!), which provides for fun in-office rivalries between himself and Dr. Markway, who vows allegiance to Mizzou.
Dr. Haworth has earned a reputation for his gentleness and amazing capacity to help patients relax and feel comfortable during each visit. Even patients who have struggled with lifelong dental anxiety regularly remark that his careful hand and calm, reassuring nature allowed them to feel at ease for the first time ever.
Dr. Haworth feels fortunate to have developed lasting relationships and a loyal following of patients. In fact, several patients who have relocated out of state, make regular return visits just so they can see him for their dental care. That degree of trust speaks volumes for the type of care you can expect to receive from Dr. Haworth. His continuing education efforts are also extensive and focus on conscious sedation, traditional braces (orthodontics), 6-month braces, Invisalign, Clear Correct, and dental implants.
Dr. Haworth studied biology as an undergraduate (at Mid America Nazarene University), and he earned his dental degree from UMKC School of Dentistry. Post graduation he began his career in Gardner in 2007. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Kansas Dental Association, and the International Dental Implant Association.
