Dr. Sanjay Bommu received both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Dentistry and has served on the faculty of several dental schools in India. He continued his dental education at Boston Universitys Goldman School of Dental Medicine and earned his doctoral degree. He has numerous scientific presentations to his credit and is also editor and contributor to dental textbooks. Dr. Sanjay prides himself on his experience in and passion for general dentistry.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. For Dr. Sanjay, success has only one meaningto unfold the understanding of dental diseases afflicting humankind, to contribute to the well-being of his patients, and to bring winning smiles back to them. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar, listening to music, adventure trails, and watching movies with his family.
Dr. Bruce Leger was born and raised in Fitchburg. He graduated from St. Anselm College in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology. He went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1974 at Fairleigh Dickinson University. After graduating Dr. Leger acquired practices in Ashburnham and Fitchburg, merging them to create his own practice. Dr. Leger joined Gardner Dental Group in 2016. Dr. Leger has been actively engaged in the practice of general dentistry with emphasis on full mouth reconstruction and cosmetic dentistry. He is an active member in the Massachusetts Dental Society and the American Dental Association.
Roslyn graduated in 2008 from Mount Wachusett Community College with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene/ Science. She started at Gardner Dental Group in 2003 as a dental assistant, while attending college to become a registered dental hygienist. She loves working as a dental hygienist and her patients mean a lot to her. Gardner Dental Group is another home for Roslyn and she treats her patients like family. While not at the office Roslyn enjoys spending time with her family, doing crafts and spending time at the lake.
Marissa is a Massachusetts native with a degree in communications as well as a degree in dental hygiene. She started her dental career in 2003 as a dental assistant; it wasn't long before she knew she wanted to pursue a career as a dental hygienist. In 2014 Marissa graduated from Mount Wachusett Community College with honors. While in college she served as the secretary of the student American Dental Hygiene Association, and later became an active member. Marissa has also been to Honduras to aid in helping the underprivileged get the dental care they need. She is compassionate about oral health and always puts her patients needs first. Marissa has a gentle touch and always has a way of easing her patients fears. In her personal time she enjoys spending time with her two children and her husband. They enjoy being outside, four wheeling, and spending time at the beach.
Lisa graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene from The Fones School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Bridgeport in 2016. Her passion for dental hygiene grew immensely when she began interning at her local dental office in 2013. She believes it is her job to deliver compassionate, ethical and complete oral health care to all of her patients. Lisa carries an open-heart that allows her to connect with her patients and create a welcoming environment. In her spare time she enjoys running, hiking, and long walks on the beach.
Lesley graduated with a Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene from The Fones School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Bridgeport in 2009. She also has her Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from MCPHS University. Even though Lesley works full time as a Physician Assistant, she loves coming back to Gardner Dental Group to work her first passion as a dental hygienist. She enjoys getting to know her patients and wants them to feel comfortable every time they come to the office. When not working, Lesley enjoys spending time with family, friends, her puppy Quint and SCUBA diving.
Dr. Stowell is a native of Massachusetts and a graduate of Tufts University. He served as a Naval Lieutenant in the early 1970s. He has served on the active staffs of Winchendon Hospital, Henry Heywood Hospital, and Athol Memorial Hospital. He was a Selectman for the Town of Royalston for seventeen years. He has acted as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Hospital Cottages for Children, Templeton, MA; President of the Baldwinville Nursing Home; Trustee of New Salem Academy; an elected member of the Republican State Committee and President of the Mount Grace Dental Specialist, Inc. of Athol, MA.

This place is great and the staff are super friendly, however, I wish they had some on call service for when they're not open or after hours. I had a root canal done and a few days later it became infected. I ended up having to go to the ER because of the pain I was experiencing and the fact that they weren't open. Besides that, the dentists and oral hygienists are super understanding and make you feel comfortable, especially if you have a fear of going to the dentist.

Oh my goodness, where do I start, first of all these wonderful people who work in this dentist office are absolutely incredible, they really are an amazing caring team. Everyone, from the office mangers, to the dental assistants, to the dental hygienists to the dentists has a way of making you feel at ease, since with some people going to the dentist can be a somewhat frightening experience, but that's not the case here, put your fears to rest, you are in good hands when you come here, in fact let me tell you about my husband, he had a problem with his tooth, now going to the dentist was something he was not going to do, he brushed and flossed his teeth two to three times a day and as he saw it that was good enough, now he would never admit that he had a fear of dentists, but the signs were all there, so I told him about Gardner Dental Group, I had been a patient with them for quite a while, so I knew they would be able to help him not only with his tooth but with his anxiety over going to the dentist. Finally he went and afterwards he told me he was glad he went and how great everyone was, that if he had known it was going to be that easy, he would have gone years ago, this is after I'd been trying to get him to go to them for years, so of course I did what any spouse would have done, I shook my head and said to him "I told you". So if you have a hang up about going to the dentist, Gardner Dental Group is the kind of dental team you want, whether it is setting you up with an appointment and dealing with your dental insurance, to making sure the dentists and dental hygienists are providing you with gentle and compassionate care, they take the anxiety out of going to the dentist.

My kids have their work done here and all of them love their dental assistants and dentists! The new guy is super nice as well! We especially love Ros! She's so personable, caring, amazing with kids and an all around amazing assistant! I'd refer her any day!! Thanks for your hard work and kindness!!

They did an improper root canal a few years back that resulted in the eventual loss of my tooth. I live with a missing tooth everyday cause of their carelessness

My son has been coming here since he was 1. He is now 9. The staff is very friendly. We've been seeing Ros since we started coming here. She is fantastic! She's kind, attentive and always answers all of our questions. My son loves her as well. I will be bringing my 9 month old here in a few months! She is by far my favorite! I highly recommend the office and Ros specifically!

The staff is pleasant. Dentists and hygienists (Bridget is our favorite!) are amazing. They get you in quickly and are very comforting. They work great with my young, sometimes anxious child. We actually enjoy going to the dentist! Great experience every time.

EDIT: I got a letter in the mail after "missing a second appointment" stating that I need to call for "day of" appointments going forward. When I asked about it they told me that I missed an appointment in 2019...it was dec 2021 when I received the letter. I've never had a bad experience in the office but that letter really rubbed me the wrong way. 5 stars goes to 3. I really like this office. The staff are always so nice. I've been miserable while they drill on my tooth but they're super nice so it kind of makes up for it

Dentists and hygenists are good. My last 2 appointments, even though confirmed with them, were cancelled by Gardner Dental, within 18 hrs of the appointment. This additionally is a veteran care facility that obviously does not provide optimum veteran services.

I was looking for a new dentist in the area and came upon Gardner Dental Group. I am so glad I did. Everyone is professional and friendly from the receptionist, to hygienist and especially the dentists. No long waits in the waiting room or waiting to see the dentist after ex-rays. The hygienist gave me a lot of tips about brushing and flossing, and was very good about answering questions. The Doctor was excellent in discussing the treatment and explaining options.

The dental office is kept clean. Covid 19 precautions are in place in the office. The staff is pleasant , polite and responsive. I had my teeth cleaned by a very good hygienist, who is very knowledgeable and thorough, as well as very observant of client comfort, and she is responsive to client expressed need. So was the Dentist that did the final check up. I would recommend this dental group to friends.

My 11 year old with high anxiety was very very nervous for her appointment - as we haven't been since preCOVID times. Bridget was absolutely amazing with her, calmed her down, made her laugh and overall just made the whole appointment enjoyable for her. Highly recommend!

I've been a patient at Gardner Dental for a few years now, and my experience here has been very comforting. I recently had an appointment, that happened to be the same day as a loved ones funeral. But I felt bad to reschedule my appointment. So, my time was crunched to say the least. Despite how busy the practice was, the women in the front were very understanding of my situation and time. All of the women at Gardner Dental (Front & Back) are kind and hardworking, but I want to specifically mention Janelle and Savannah this time. I was able to discreetly explain my situation to Janelle in Spanish, and that really helped. Savannah was also very quick and understanding, but also made sure her job was done well. Very grateful to be a patient at this practice! 10/10

As usual, I was greeted with kindness, by reception. The dental assistant took care of my tooth issue, promptly and with extreme care. At this practice, the patient is treated with the utmost care and concern for their comfort.

Not only were they ladies at the front desk super patient and understanding while having difficulties locating my insurance, but the dental hygienist was amazing and helpful with my daughter. No one gave me a hard time about avoiding the dentist for over 8 years myself. The hygienist was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything she was doing. It was probably the greatest experience I have ever had at a dentist in over 30 years. I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone who is skittish of the dentist.
