I was raised in Syracuse, New York and developed a love of primary care and dentistry as a young man. I began as a dental assistant after graduate school and that cemented my desire to become a dentist.
I received my undergraduate degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, and a Master of Science in Neuroscience from Syracuse University. I obtained my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry; I completed a residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital in New York City.
I have practiced dentistry for over a decade, and I am dedicated to providing compassionate care in helping my patients obtain their desired smile and continued dental health. This approach to dentistry began in dental school and upon graduation from dental school, I was honored to receive the David B. Kriser Student Award for Empathy and Sensitivity in Patient Care. My dedication to providing excellent dental care also extends into my volunteer work. I have volunteered my services at health clinics throughout the United States, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America.
Throughout my years of private practice, I have attended post-graduate courses to further develop my skills to provide the highest quality care to my patients. These courses have covered oral surgery, implants, root canals, and Invisalign.

Dr. Young and his team are really great and so incredibly caring. I was having an issue of waking up with pain from a temporary crown making it tough to sleep so I called them in the morning and they got me in within a few hours and discovered what the issue was and fixed it very quickly. I am very thankful to Dr. Young and his team!

Dr. Young and his staff have always treated me like family. I feel love whenever I find myself in the office. Today I needed a crown. My tooth fractured (just like they warned me it would) and they stayed late to see me the next day! Shout out to Ruth!! Thank you all! See you soon!

This Dental practice is personal, professional and all together a great team. Individually each of the team members are spectacular but together they are special. If you're new to the area I would encourage you to visit. If you're not close it is definitely worth the drive. Dr Young is one of the very best dentist I have had the pleasure of taking care of me.

My family and I began seeing Dr. Walker 25 years ago, at what is now Garden Lakes Dentistry. Dr. Walker is a wonderful person and physician. My family as well as our dentist became older. So Garden Lakes Dentistry started at the same location. All things new in healthcare creates a little anxiety. Dr. Wildung and Dr. Young recognized the importance of maintaining the family dentist office. They also invested with advanced technology. This makes your visit quick friendly and often painless. One of many things I noticed the office works as a team. Everyone is working for the patient to relieve any apprehension or anxiety. Rachel, Ileana, and Guetzie are the technical staff and are not only there for the doctors but are also supporting Nikki and Ruth work in the front office. Ruth is the office manager. Ruth brings the history of Dr. Walkers office and combines it with the vision of Drs. Young and Wildung for the vision of the 21st century. I am proud to refer friends and family to this dental family.

They were so sweet and understanding. It's been a rough couple days of dental pain. They did my exam and prescribed me pain and antibiotic meds to keep me comfortable while I wait for my insurance's effective date. I was totally crying in the exam chair and I felt 100% listened to and cared for. Thanks so much!
