Dr. Richard D. Morales and Dr. Rebeca M. Garcia were both born and raised in the Miami area. They pride themselves on their approachability and providing gentle, effective, and comprehensive dentistry to the residents of Coral Gables, Pinecrest, and Coconut Grove.

Richard D. Morales, DMD, is a Coral Gables dentist who has a true passion and love for learning. He grew up in Miami, and is the product of Jesuit education, having graduated from Belen Jesuit Preparatory School. He then attended the University of Miami where he received his Bachelors in Science majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry. He graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville with a Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 1995, and then went on to complete a one-year General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. Dr. Morales averages about 200 hours annually with specialized training at the renowned, innovative Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Training. He has been a part of the Seattle Study Club for the last 25 years.

Did you know that Dr. Morales knows what it means to be born and raised in South Florida? He grew up here too and still maintains close ties within our community. Dr. Morales is a part of the Knights of Columbus organization, as well as being active in the local church and sports programs. He also volunteers his time with the Mindo Futures organization empowering the youth and people of Mindo, Ecuador through education, health, and disaster relief programs. He and his wife Cecilia and their four children live, work, and play in and around Coral Gables. Their favorite place to eat is the mom-and-pop Fratellinos Italian restaurant for excellent food and service.

Rebeca M. Garcia, DMD, joined University Dental Group in October of 2009. She was born and raised in Miami before receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami. Dr. Garcia then attended Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine and graduated in 2004. Since completing a residency at the Veterans Administration and Jackson Memorial Hospital in 2005, she has been in private practice. Before Dr. Garica joined the team at our Coral Gables dental office, she was the sole dentist working out of the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, where she practiced comprehensive dental care using the techniques taught at the world-renowned advanced-learning facility. Dr. Garcia still averages many continuing education hours annually with courses provided within the Seattle Study Club.

As if being a dentist wasnt busy enough, Dr. Garcia is also driven in her personal life. She enjoys giving back to the South Florida community by volunteering with various beach cleanups and the Feed the Children and Humane Society organizations. She also mentors youth who are interested in pursuing a career in dental care. Dr. Garcia is happily married with two children, and she loves making memories with them. The family loves spending their free time together both boating and at the beach in the Keys. Dr. Garcia also rides horses with her daughter which is one of her favorite non-work activities. She also loves traveling, exercising, and reading. Her favorite restaurant is Macchialina in Miami Beach for the amazing food, friendly service, and relaxing atmosphere.

Priscilla loves everything about being a dental assistant, especially putting a smile on someones face after they visit with her and the dentist. She says her career is something that kind of just fell into her lap while Priscilla was a patient at her general dentist well over 25 years ago. He offered her a job as his assistant and she never looked back. Priscilla is married with two children. Outside of work, family is everything to Priscilla, and she says it doesnt matter what they do as long as they do it together. She also enjoys the outdoors and the beach.

For well over a decade, Norka has been helping patients and families have healthier smiles as a registered dental hygienist. She joined the talented team at University Dental Group in 2017. Norka says her line of work is gratifying because it feels good to provide the best oral health care for every patient. As a dental hygienist, she not only cleans and polishes your teeth to perfection, Norka can answer any questions you might have about your smile. Norka says working at University Dental Group is unique because its an honest office that looks out for every patients interests and needs. Norka is adventurous, happy, hippie-ish, faithful, and a free spirit. Norka enjoys taking care of her family, skydiving, and boating when shes not in the office.
