A science lover with an artistic soul, I discovered my passion for dentistry at an early age. After an accident left me with half of a front tooth, I was both appreciative and fascinated with the mechanics behind rebuilding it. My zeal for helping others was cemented during a mission trip to El Salvador as a young adult. My time abroad reinforced how fortunate I was to pursue higher education and the absolute necessity to use my talents to help others. As a volunteer dental provider, I have had the privilege of helping thousands of patients both internationally and domestically.
My goals are to provide optimal oral healthcare in a comfortable environment for patients of all ages. Our team employs only the best methods, materials, and technologies and we take pride in building professional relationships centered on compassion and honesty with all of our patients. I believe in utilizing evidence-based research and taking a personalized approach to healthcare.
A Naperville native, I attended Neuqua Valley High School. My parents (aka the office interns) still live in local and are my biggest supporters and best friends. After high school, I received my Bachelors degree in Human Biology with High Honors, from Michigan State University. After completing my undergraduate education, I received my doctorate in dental surgery from The University of Illinois at Chicago, where I graduated at the top of my class.
Following dental school, I continued to pursue my strong interest in esthetic and surgical dentistry, through the countrys top residency program in San Antonio, Texas. During my advanced program, I was exposed to cutting-edge technologies and concepts, from the best leaders in the field. I have a strong passion for cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry, periodontal surgery, sedation dentistry, and implantology. I take great pride in utilizing these advanced skills to help patients achieve a beautiful, healthy, lasting smile. My advanced training and special licensure in sedation dentistry ensure patient comfort and safety are always a top priority.
In my free time, I enjoy painting, photography, journaling, and yoga. When not in the office at Gantos Dental Group, you might find me biking along the forest preserve or with my nose in a book. I love listening to podcasts and anything 'true crime' related. I am a sucker for words of wisdom and always love a good book or interesting documentary recommendation.
I grew up in Wilmette and attended the University of Illinois at Chicago where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Psychology. I then attended dental school at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Illinois where I earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, I held leadership positions in various organizations and participated in numerous volunteer projects. I also proudly graduated with an Award of Excellence for outstanding clinical performance and professionalism.
I have been trained in CAD/CAM Technology (same-day crowns), Invisalign/OrthoFx (orthodontics), endodontics (root canal therapy), implant placement, oral surgery, pediatrics and much more. I believe in a minimally invasive and evidence-based approach to dentistry. I am passionate about learning and implementing new techniques to ensure patient comfort, while providing the highest quality care.
When not in the office, youll find me reading, running, spending time with friends and family, and learning about new cultures while traveling. I am fluent in English, Assyrian and Farsi to help communicate treatment needs to our multicultural patients.

I had such an amazing experience. I'll probably never enjoy going to the dentist but this practice makes it 10x better. They really prioritize your comfort (and health), and I love that I get to be distracted by Netflix the entire time.

Buyer beware. Went for a cleaning and I was told I needed a deep cleaning that would cost more out-of-pocket (never mind the pain). I took the x-rays to another dentist. He said no, a regular cleaning is all you need. The dot on the x-ray shown to me was insignificant. Gantos will upsell you services you don't need.

It seems everywhere I've been lately customer service is dead - not the case at Gantos dental - I am a semi new patient there I've been there a few times now - Dr Gantos is one of the nicest Doctors I have ever met - she is very sweet, understanding and you can tell her and the staff care about the patients and there experience. They go above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable, explain options and are honest when giving there opinion on what might benefit you the most. 5 star experience across the board from check in, to my dental assistant (I think her name was Eliana) to the Doctor portion. Truly a gem for all your dental needs putting patients needs and wants first. I rarely leave reviews but this office is one that I'm proud to call my dental home as a patient and employee. I've been practicing dental hygiene for over 12 years and have seen and been to many offices where their philosophies don't align with their actions and what they practice. Dr. Gantos puts her patients first providing the best quality dentistry care with the most advanced technology and techniques to assure comfort dentistry. Being in dentistry I've experienced where my own and families dental care is not a priority or valued and that is not the case at all at here. My kids and family love it here and wouldn't trust going anywhere else for our dental needs!

I was recommended here by a good friend, was a bit of a drive for me, but 100% worth it! I have never been to a dentist office where everyone is so kind, understanding & did not want to take all my money! I felt cared for every second I was here. I had 3 wisdom teeth extracted while being put under and I couldn't be happier!! 10/10 Definitely would recommend anyone and everyone to come have there teeth taken care of here!

Worth all the stars and more! Dr. Gantos has changed mine and my moms life. We both suffer from tmj however my mothers tmj is debilitating. She lives in Florida and had an appointment with: a dentist (multiple appointments), CT scan, ent doctor, and physical therapist. Although physical therapy helped a little bit- she was still in pain. During my visit with Dr. Gantos I asked her questions about tmj and what I could do to help my mom. Without even looking at her schedule she said to me "when is she coming in? I will make time to see her" and that she did. My mother was impressed with her bedside manor and how gentle she was with her. She explained everything to both of us, never rushed us, and never made us feel like we were asking too many questions (which we were). She fixed my mothers bite guard and injected Botox/xeomin in her masseters to help with the pain and muscle. Please please please if you are suffering with TMJ visit dr. Gantos. She is extremely knowledgeable and qualified in this area. Our only regret is not coming sooner.

They are incompetent figuring out insurance information. I came in to do a general cleaning and walked away with no cleaning done at all but a bill of $167. They said an evaluation had to be done because I was a new patient and it's 100% covered by insurance. After the evaluation they told me I needed deep cleaning. I declined and asked only to do the regular cleaning. They said because X ray shows that I need deep cleaning, now a regular cleaning can't be done. Then I got a bill of $167 a month later for the evaluation despite that they told me it's 100% covered. It turns out they withheld critical information and falsely claimed it's 100% covered. For out of network, there is a predetermined max amount for the procedure performed. They did provide nice pillows and heated neck warmers and the environment was nice, but they were incompetent figuring out insurance for clients. From 2022, they are out of network for all insurances so I guess at least other clients won't experience this problem any more.

Absolutely LOVE this office! I have trusted dr Gantos with my sons cosmetic work as well as my self. Amazing results. Recently I tried Botox at the office- amazing!! 2nd time I have done it and was a bit skeptical as I did not want to look frozen or have droopy eye brows. I have received so many compliments on how refreshed and well rested I look . Highly recommend this office for any of your dental needs!

Meredith Gantos, is a conscientious doctor who takes pride in her work and wants nothing more for her patients than for them to be as pleased with the results as is she. She is concerned foremost with the dental health of her patients and the cleaning, gum checks, and screening for oral cancer is completed with the latest technology. We can't always love the health professionals who are especially good in their field, but Dr. Gantos is the exception, and her evident concern for the well-being of her patients is heartwarming. There is no better place to get dental care! Gantos Dental Group is a beautiful office that uses the newest technology but has that comfortable small office feel. The staff walks you through every step of your treatment. The dental cleanings are great with the air flow polisher. My experience is always Efficient and Painless! I bring my whole family to Gantos Dental Group!

I had braces when I was a kid and noticed my bottom teeth were shifting. I called up to see if they would do invisalign, and I just finished!! yay! And it was an awesome experience that went faster than I thought, it was easier than I thought,... and my teeth are perfect again! Ready for Hollywood LOL :)

Dr. Gantos has amazed me from the first time I met her. My dental anxiety had been through the roof for many years, I am now more confident than I have ever been about going to a dentist. I no longer worry days before the appointment, she has made it a completely different experience. In fact, the whole team including hygienists, assistants and even the ladies that run the office with appointments, managing insurance to follow up phone checks are tops in their field.
