A science lover with an artistic soul, I discovered my passion for dentistry at an early age. After an accident left me with half of a front tooth, I was both appreciative and fascinated with the mechanics behind rebuilding it. My zeal for helping others was cemented during a mission trip to El Salvador as a young adult. My time abroad reinforced how fortunate I was to pursue higher education and the absolute necessity to use my talents to help others. As a volunteer dental provider, I have had the privilege of helping thousands of patients both internationally and domestically.
My goals are to provide optimal oral healthcare in a comfortable environment for patients of all ages. Our team employs only the best methods, materials, and technologies and we take pride in building professional relationships centered on compassion and honesty with all of our patients. I believe in utilizing evidence-based research and taking a personalized approach to healthcare.
A Naperville native, I attended Neuqua Valley High School. My parents (aka the office interns) still live in local and are my biggest supporters and best friends. After high school, I received my Bachelors degree in Human Biology with High Honors, from Michigan State University. After completing my undergraduate education, I received my doctorate in dental surgery from The University of Illinois at Chicago, where I graduated at the top of my class.
Following dental school, I continued to pursue my strong interest in esthetic and surgical dentistry, through the countrys top residency program in San Antonio, Texas. During my advanced program, I was exposed to cutting-edge technologies and concepts, from the best leaders in the field. I have a strong passion for cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry, periodontal surgery, sedation dentistry, and implantology. I take great pride in utilizing these advanced skills to help patients achieve a beautiful, healthy, lasting smile. My advanced training and special licensure in sedation dentistry ensure patient comfort and safety are always a top priority.
In my free time, I enjoy painting, photography, journaling, and yoga. When not in the office at Gantos Dental Group, you might find me biking along the forest preserve or with my nose in a book. I love listening to podcasts and anything 'true crime' related. I am a sucker for words of wisdom and always love a good book or interesting documentary recommendation.
I grew up in Wilmette and attended the University of Illinois at Chicago where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Psychology. I then attended dental school at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Illinois where I earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, I held leadership positions in various organizations and participated in numerous volunteer projects. I also proudly graduated with an Award of Excellence for outstanding clinical performance and professionalism.
I have been trained in CAD/CAM Technology (same-day crowns), Invisalign/OrthoFx (orthodontics), endodontics (root canal therapy), implant placement, oral surgery, pediatrics and much more. I believe in a minimally invasive and evidence-based approach to dentistry. I am passionate about learning and implementing new techniques to ensure patient comfort, while providing the highest quality care.
When not in the office, youll find me reading, running, spending time with friends and family, and learning about new cultures while traveling. I am fluent in English, Assyrian and Farsi to help communicate treatment needs to our multicultural patients.
