Gallup Childrens Dentistry & Orthodontics has pediatric dental specialists on staff overseeing our dental operations. Pediatric dentists are childrens dentists who elect to take an extra two years of schooling to specialize in pediatric dentistry. Our childrens dentists work with children aged nine months to 18 years, and with special needs patients up to 26 years. No matter how minor or serious your childs needs are, we have the knowledge and technology upon which you can rely.
Erin M. Montano, DDS is a general dentist practicing and living in Gallup, NM. She was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, solidifying her love for Cardinals baseball. After attending Saint Louis University and receiving degrees in Studio Art and Biology, Dr. Montano graduated from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in Kansas City, Missouri. It was in dental school that she met her husband, Jared. She is a member of the American Dental Association, New Mexico Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and the New Mexico West Central District. She is currently on the board for the Gallup Early Childhood Center and the New Mexico Dental Association Foundation. In her free time, Dr. Montano enjoys oil painting, working out, and exploring the Southwest with her husband, baby girl, and two labs.
Robert Hann, DDS, MS, is a transplant to Albuquerque by way of southern California. He completed under graduate studies at Stanford and received both his DDS and MS from the Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. Dr Hann (rhymes with 'can') has extensive experience working with children and adolescents in YMCA resident camping and various dental education programs. He really likes orthodontics and is looking forward to the opportunity to work with young people in the great state of New Mexico, building smiles together that they can be proud of. His interests include music, American literature, rock climbing, running (slowly), and road-tripping the Southwest with his wife.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets, and in some cases, you can even choose the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any ageis a great age to wear braces!
Treatmenttime varies and can last between one and three years depending on several factors,including age, treatment method, and the severity of your case. A big factor ina successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the moreefficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or earlytreatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

I've been taking my son here for two years now. The staff are kind, respectful, and they always make sure that my son is comfortable, not scared. The place itself is clean as far as my eye can see... hopefully sanitary.

I was early for my appointment.. hoping to get check n .. get seen .. leave but no.. i waited n waited..until finally 20 minutes after my appointment time we got call.. 30 minutes later we still waiting for doctor.. i was mad by then.. i left..

They are a very good team. Have a little bit of things they can work on for administration, but other than that, they are a very good dentistry. Very polite and professional.

Billing department have no sense of direction. I was billed for preventative dental work that is covered by my private insurance. Very frustrating, and I was tols to call Phx office than I would be routed to call by the dental office. Never got an answer. Make sure you reiew the details of what you are being billed for...

It's was my three year old's first dental appointment and we had the honor of having Juana as our dental assistant. Also my two older ones first time in a loooong time! She did an OUTSTANDING AMAZING job with all of them. I hope we get her every time! Haha THANK YOU JUANA!

The Dental Assistants are AMAZING! From the front desk to checking out is always smoothly! They always make my kids feel Comfortable during their appointments! I just took my 6 year old child here for the first time. We had a bit of a wait to be seen, but once we were called back the staff were all really nice and efficient. My child loved the TV during the cleaning. We look forward to our visit in 6 months.
