Doctors Thomas Galligan, Gerard Villa, and Ryan Galligan have been serving the Staten Island Community for over 30 years by providing quality and convenient dental care to patients of all ages. We have recently welcomed Dr. Ryan Galligan to the practice after completing his training at Staten Island University Hospital.
Their state of the art office is located in Eltingville and we have convenient night and weekend hours of operation. We offer comprehensive care in all fields of dentistry including restorative dentistry, porcelain veneers, implant placement and restoration, and now both traditional orthodontics as well as Invisalign for children and adults.
Our dentists have training and experience in state of the art technology and procedures to solve all your dental problems and help to enhance your smile. Together with our amazing staff, we will listen to your concerns and do everything we can to make you comfortable and put a smile on your face!
Dr. Thomas J. Galligan was born in Brooklyn, New York and came to Staten Island at the age of 4 years old. He attended St. Clare School in Great Kills and Xavier High School in Manhattan. After graduation from Boston College in Chestnut Hill Massachusetts, Dr. Galligan returned home to attend New York University College of Dentistry and graduated in 1982. He completed his general practice residency training in 1983 at Staten Island University Hospital.
Dr. Galligan has been an adjunct attending in the department of dentistry at Staten Island University Hospital for over 30 years. He is an active supporter of many charities on Staten Island and lives in Great Kills with his wife of 34 years.
Dr. Gerard M. Villa, General Dentist, has over 30 Years of experience in cosmetic dentistry, implantology and prosthetic reconstruction. Dr. Villa graduated from the New York University College of dentistry in 1982. He completed a one-year general practice residency at Staten Island University Hospital.
Since 1983 Dr. Villa has been a partner and a practicing dentist in this office with Dr. Thomas Galligan D.D.S. Dr. Villa maintains an affiliation with Staten Island University Hospital as an attending dentist.
Dr. Villa has been associated with and is a proud supporter of various charities throughout Staten Island. Most notably his parish of St. Clare, which he grew up in and continues to be an active parishioner. Recently he was bestowed with the prestigious title of Knight of the Order of Malta, which is recognized throughout the world as lay caregivers to the poor and sick.
Dr. Ryan Galligan earned his undergraduate degree from Boston College in 2006 followed by his DMD degree from The University of Medicine and Dentistry in 2010. He finished dental school at the top of his class being inducted into the OKU National Dental Honor Society. He continued his training at Staten Island University Hospital where he completed a GPR program. Dr. Ryan Galligan also completed an Implantology Residency at the Englewood Dental Implant Center allowing him to provide his patients with cutting edge surgical and cosmetic implant prosthetics.
Dr. Ryan joined his father and uncle in 2011 and has really enjoyed working with the family but also expanding what the doctors have to offer to their patients. He has been truly happy helping the people of Staten Island where he was born and raised. He is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry as we all the ADA, the NYSDA, and the RCDS.
Dr. Kaitlyn Lafferty was born and raised in Staten Island, New York. She attended both grade school and high school in Staten Island. She went on to obtain a B.A. in psychology while on a pre-dental track at The Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. While in college, Kaitlyn completed an externship at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and shadowed Drs Galligan and Villa. Kaitlyn soon learned that she had a passion for dentistry and caring for patients. She trained in dentistry at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and graduated with a D.M.D in 2018. While in dental school, Kaitlyn was selected as a mentor for incoming freshman students, and then for undergraduate college and high school students interested in medicine and dentistry. She returned to her hometown to further her education in dentistry by completing a residency in general dentistry at Staten Island University Hospital. In Kaitlyns free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, listening to live music, exercising, and spending time with family and friends. She is excited to start working in her hometown and is looking forward to treating patients in the place where she was given great dental care.

Dr. Thomas Galligan is by far the best. I have been going to him for about 20 yrs & couldn't be happier. When I started going to him, I was petrified of the dentist. Dr. Galligan took away my fears from the very first visit. He has a very gentle & calming bedside manner. The staff is so friendly & accommodating. His office is immaculate. Dr.Galligan will be my dentist for another 20. I couldn't recommend him more! Thank you Dr.Galligan & staff for all you do.

I jut want to say my experience wIth Gallican and villa Changed my experience going to the dentist, so let me start by saying I have been having anxiety going back to the dentist not because of Covid because I hate going to dentist ! I went to them because I heard so many good things about this office, my family and friends go there and are extremely happy! From the moment I called on the phone and spoke to the pleasant girls at the desk, from the assistant and finally ""Kaitlin flannery the dentist ""she made me so comfortable and was so sweet ,she explained everything to me and I'd I tell you it was a painless experience!!!! I had a tooth pulled and a bridge taken out ,I went home and didn't have to take a Tylenol!! I couldn't belive how gentle and knowledgeable she was I am not afraid to go to the dentist anymore! The girls help you with insurance are amazing' I highly recommend her if you want a pleasant dentist who knows what they are doing go see her!!! The office is very clean and has such a friendly atmosphere!!! Five stars

Hands Down THE Best Dentist I ever have used!!! Dr. Galligan & Villa I highly recommend! I have been using them for years and can not say enough amazing things about them! You will get a friendly, family oriented vibe from some of the best dentists around with amazing bed side manner. I have had work done by them and always come out extremely happy with perfect results and pain free!!! I trust Dr. Galligan and Villa with any and all work that needs to be done! I have used 3 dentists over the past 20 years and am so thankful to have found Dr. Ryan Galligan, Dr. Galligan, and Dr. Villa! I plan to use them for the next 50 years!

Dr Galligan and his staff are all 100% professional-- They have always made me feel more like a Family member than Just a Patient !--- I think that is needed in a situation such as Going to the Dentist !!---I Highly Recommend Telling your Family and Friends about This Dentistry ---As long as I have Teeth in my mouth -- I know who I want working on Them !!!

I've had a significant amount of work done by Dr. Ryan over the last year. My teeth were less than perfect to say the least. Multiple root canals/implants later and my entire life has changed. Ryan has wonderful bedside manner and walked me through the entire process. He was always there to answer all of my questions and concerns. I can honestly say that my experience with Ryan at Galligan and Villa has changed my life. I'm a new man.

I started going to this office the minute i moved to Staten Island and i wish i knew about it earlier, absolutely amazing place with with awesome people. After multiple appointments i decided to invest in invisalign and it was the right decision. Dr. Lafferty and Lilac assisted me throughout the 2 year journey and i couldn't be happier with the results. I have recommended my friends and family and they've all left happy. Five stars everyday!

I've been a patient of Galligan and Villa for a number of years now, and I can't say enough about the terrific experience I've had. I'd been to several dentists prior, and none of them hold a candle to Ryan. The service from the time you walk in to when you leave is high touch and professional, and I've never had dental work that was so pain-free during my procedures and afterward. Ryan checks in following my appointments to confirm that I'm feeling good which I never had a dentist do previously. Lastly, the work has been outstanding. I'd highly recommend anyone who needs dental work to schedule an appointment with Galligan & Villa - you will not be disappointed!

When I moved from Staten Island to Manhattan and got rid of my car, it never crossed my mind to find a different dentist in my new borough. I commute two and a half hours each way whenever I visit this office and every minute is worth it. I've been going to Dr. Ryan Galligan for years and every single time he has made me feel safe and comfortable. He's always super efficient at getting to the root of the problem (couldn't resist the pun, not sorry) and gets the job done in a timely manner. Dr. Galligan is always communicative whenever a pinch is on the way, and frequently checks in to make sure I'm okay during every procedure. Plus, he keeps the atmosphere light and fun, always putting me at ease. The receptionists and the hygienists are all the most wonderful people. I've never been met with anything but warmth and kindness. They go out of their way to treat you like family. I would never go anywhere else!

Stop looking and make an appointment. Staff really friendly and treat you like family. Office adequately staffed with 5 doctors, Hygienists, admin and support staff. Very efficient, professional, knowledgable, experience, and excellent bedside manners. Space really clean. Also, i love how everyone i delat with took the time to explain everything from paper work, to billing, to procedure, to next steps and finally secure next appointments. I saw Dr. Galligan Sr and he is beyond awesome Doctor and a person; very humble, friendly knowledgable and all around one of the best. Thank you Galligan & Villa doctors and staff for making my experience one of the best. I'm lucky to be your patient. I wish i found you years ago.

I have been Dr. Villa's patient since 1986! My husband has also been his patient & our son. He is a wonderful compassionate man & dentist. Explains things clearly. He has been a great Dentist & a welcoming friend at every visit to his office. I have recommended him to friends & family many times. Dr. Galligan has always been just as welcoming.

Idk where to start...this is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to. The staff are really friendly and the office is really clean too. I been to many dentists in the past but like this one honestly the BEST!!! I would definitely recommend going here and I would recommend Dr.Kaitlyn lafferny she is awesome.

A wonderful experience from beginning to end. The staff and the doctors are so friendly , welcoming and most of all professional. They went above and beyond to be sure that I was comfortable and satisfied. The office was spotless and each and every member of the staff was so caring. I have never had such a terrific experience when going to a dentist's office. I am actually looking forward to going back. Highly recommend!!!!

Great experience with Dr. Ryan Galligan. He made me feel comfortable. His office staff is very professional and welcoming. Christina was very helpful and thorough with all my questions. Dr. Ryan was a big help to me I had severe tooth pain and he took me in right away he treated me very well and carefully. he even made sure I didn't feel any more pain, this is by far been the best dental experience ever. I highly recommend it to everyone and anyone who want to get their teeth done or to feel better

Dr. Kaitlyn Lafferty, is the best dentist I've ever been to. She is extremely knowledgeable and answered every silly question I asked. I was afraid of getting dental work done, and she was able to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. If you are scared of the dentist, I recommend you seeing her. I primarily live in Florida right now and I will fly, just to come to this office. They are the cleanest office and has the best staff. I will never go to another office.

I have been a patient since I was a child. The office staff is friendly and quick. I am prone to cavities but every visit is as pleasant as it can be. I have not had a single bad experience with any dental hygienist or assistant, they are all personable and thorough. I never have an issue with my fillings post-visit :)

Unfortunately for me I was never contacted by financial representative as per Dr Ryan Gallighan Protocol and therefore I had no idea what full cost for my two implants would be. I came prepared to leave deposit because I knew it would be a bit costly. I was prepared to leave $500 cash in addition to $1,000 on my card and balance would of COURSE be paid prior to placing final implant crowns. Went over everything last minute with Dr Ryan Gallagher's associate only to have him walk in shorty after and tell me that deposit would not be sufficient for him and he would not send Impressions to Lab. If he would have worked with me instead of running his office like a Casino I would have gladly left a larger deposit! I estimated approx $3,500-4,000. Little more little less not an issue at all!
