Digital x-rays can be magnified up to 300 times and are much more reliable in spotting problems than traditional x-rays. They also lessen your exposure to radiation and eliminate waste because there is no need for photo chemicals and traditional film.
The Myotronics K7 and TENS unit are extremely accurate and highly sensitive devices that are designed to evaluate your bite and determine if it is malaligned. The TENS unit gently stimulates the muscles with low frequency electrical pulses, releasing the painful toxins that build up in jaw muscles to help them relax. The K7 is then used to measure muscle activity and place your bite in its optimal position. The K7 is also utilized to confirm the position of your bite after dental work is completed.
Digital imaging allows you to see what your smile will look like after your procedure is completed, before any dental work even begins. After taking a photograph of your smile and before your procedure is started, we use computers to change the image of your smile based upon the recommended treatment.
